Hello all!
CONGRATULATIONS to Pennypops and Bendybus

GOOD LUCK for Dal, hope all has gone well!

HIWBB: LOL yup Want some?!! I like the suggestion of thread name

That's all I've really read today, sorry people am being very scatty today, just had MW appointment, my usual MW is on holiday so had a different one today, she was lovely too but when she measured me has come up off the scale!! but then it might have something to do with baby not even being engaged [raspberry face]
Am not impressed, definitely going to be a difficult child this one!

Am now sat here with DD on the computer desk, doing a rather strange little ritual , she keeps touching something she shouldn't and then patting her chest, very strange OCD child?! Takes after her mummy

Anywho, I'm off to eat the rest of the banana loaf that I made last night, which reminds me:
Had some period-like pains last night and a very stiff/sore back, went to bed, nothing more

Not that DH tried to even help me out in any way, I was still carrying DD to bed and cooking dinner, etc., bloody lazy arse he's become, am getting a bit sick of it now, since getting married he's turned into Homer Simpson! (In fact that's how one of my friend's refers to him, without any prompting from me either! )
I definitely didn't agree to marry Homer Simpson so why have I found myself living with him and having his children?! OK Rant over!

Am going off for a nap now, whether DD wants one or not, little monkey has been just as scatty (if not more so) than I have this morning, and it's not like I fed her sugar for brekkie?!!

Have a good one ladies

Ky 39+2 (apparently, must've got my day's mixed up before, typical me!)

hayley2u · 07/09/2007 13:04

i am counting down the days now. to have a nice drink or two(very much alcoholic ones) lol. no more heartburn swollen legs, and i will be a ble to bend woo hoo.

Holly29 · 07/09/2007 13:19

Update !!!

I just received this text from Dal 21:

"Our gorgeous baby boy was born at 8.55 this morning. 5lbs 1oz. All of us are doing great. Dal and DH".

Hurray!

MrsFish · 07/09/2007 13:21

Yay, another boy.

Many Congrats Dal

MrsBumblebee · 07/09/2007 14:05

Blimey, three more since I last posted! Congratulations Dal, Bendybus and Pennypops!!

PLP, so sorry to hear that little Cerys has been having some problems, but I'm sure the doctors can work wonders. Sending big hugs and positive vibes to you.

MrsF, very glad that LO seems to have turned around - fingers crossed that it stays that way!

Well, I'm off to MW in a minute. Still not a huge amount of movement from LO, so I'm glad I'll get the chance to have him checked out .

Hi to everyone else, and apologies for any news I've missed.

toadstool · 07/09/2007 15:32

Many congratulations to Dal, Bendybus and Pennypops, also to FioFio!
PLP, good luck with the op and care for Cerys. Hope she'll be recovering well soon.
MrsFish, great to hear LO has turned - mine is still head down too, fingers crossed!
Kyala, good luck with Homer Simpson, perhaps it's time for a gentle hint, like going to bed and shutting the door just as bedtime looms..?
MW came round today and we made a birth plan of sorts - it said: not bothered, just do the necessary (but yes to jab X and vitamin K, etc.) and mind the flipping leg!!!! Most bothered about how we get The Leg into stirrups, but hey, we'll have to leave that to the inspiration of the moment (still seems a long way away, but DD was born at 38 weeks, so it could be tomorrow, eek!).
Making shopping list for alcohol, dodgy cheese and other goodies for after D-day; and Grazia mag.
Enjoy the weekend, ladies! Hope to hear of some more new arrivals soon!

diddle · 07/09/2007 16:05

Congrats to those of you that have already popped. I'm surprised there have been so many as we're only a week into September. Hope you're all enjoying your bundles of joy, i can't wait to meet mine.

For those of you left, how are you all feeling. I'm feeling very achy, my lower back seems to have a dull ache a lot in the last day or two. Had lots of BH, and i feel like i'm melting. its hot here in the midlands. well at least it is to me.

37wks today

ccpink · 07/09/2007 16:20

Congratulations Dal, Bendybus and Pennypops!! They're coming so fast I can hardly keep up!

PLP, so sorry to hear that Cerys has been having some problems, but the doctors can do fab stuff these days. Lots of hugs to you all.

Kyala I think you should say mw has told you not to carry DD to bed etc. Our mw told us to use them as an excuse if you were knackered! Sounds quite a good one to have up sleeve - I used it to avoid mowing lawn incase there's any of next door's cat poo! Tenuous I know!

Boobs have settled down - thankfully. Nursery practically finished but ran out of border - typical. Can start sorting it though now. Can't wait to put tiny stuff in wardrobe - I've turned into a right saddo!

Tinkjon · 07/09/2007 16:20

Yaaay, congrats Dal21!!!

Hopeitwontbebig · 07/09/2007 16:21

Good luck with your MW appointment today MrsBumbleBee.

Congrats dal x x x

I've just got back from seeing my obstetrician, all booked for the 17th. I've got to go and see the anaesthetist on Tuesday. Must admit, my head is all over the place now because the obst was quite anti caesarean and said he would have liked to try a ECV then if successful induce me next wk at 38 weeks, because of predicted big baby. BUT, he said there's no guarantee that a vaginal delivery would protect my bladder from all the problems I had after having DS2. So, he said we'd stick to the original plan and go for the cs. I hate all these variables. I'd COMPLETELY got my head round a section, now I feel like I need to get my head round it again somehow.

YYYYYYYYYYYYAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

Dal.

and of course anyone else.

Hi hopey, are you feeling a bit nervy now?
You sound it a bit. Its like you've got your head around one thing and then its all change. Or am I misinterpreting [sp?]

Hopeitwontbebig · 07/09/2007 16:37

Hi Twit.

The plan is the same, section on the 17th, but I feel like I should have made a different decision now, ie ECV then 38 wk induction. Before, I felt like there was no choice, therefore the responsibility had been taken away from me, which is a good thing. Really I want the experts to say, this is definitely the very best option for you. But it's all the '...well we can't guarantee it's the best outcome for you personally'. So I feel like if things go wrong and I knacker my body, it's my fault, because I made the decision. Although having said that, the obstetrician said 'I'll make the decision for you, we'll stick to the original plan and go ahead with the section'

I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes it would be nice to have this sort of decision made for us, and to know it is the right one. A bit like being a child I guess.
By the way, Eloise has been spelt wrong on the arrivals list.
It's a small thing but big iyswim.

Chattyhan · 07/09/2007 16:48

Congrats Dal!

MrsBumblebee · 07/09/2007 17:02

Just a quick post to say that all went fine at the MW - yay! LO was clearly just having a lazy couple of days (happens to us all ).

HIWBB, I know just what you mean. All this 'choice' malarkey is great in theory, but it's so difficult when they're clearly the experts not you, and particularly when everyone you talk to (or everything you read) tells you something different! Sounds like you want the section really, though (given the circumstances), so hopefully it's good that the obstetrician has come to the same conclusion (albeit in a fairly unhelpful way)?

EmLouT · 07/09/2007 17:04

Congratulations Dal - I am so excited for you all.

Eventful day for me - my doctor called to say that because of my high BP they are going to take me into hospital on Monday night and induce - by Tuesday night I might have my LO in my arms. I am very excited but also nervous! I don't have a text buddy so not sure how I will let you all know the news. Does anyone fancy volunteering?

Thanks!

TwitmonstEr · 07/09/2007 17:37

oooohhhh! How exciting for you to finally know

I am jealous.

kyala · 07/09/2007 18:43

Evening all
Wow Congratulations to Dal, 5lb 1oz, awwww tiny baby! Am so pleased for you

Toadstool: Don't be silly, he'd only sit there with her for hours and when I finally give in and come back down to sort her out, would ask "Where have you been?" (D'oh!)
He got home this evening though and started doing things for me, rather spontaneously, right after I told him how much agony it was just standing for 5 minutes making our lunch this afternoon, maybe he finally gets it?! He's gone for a nap so he's bound to forget when he wakes up anyway LOL

Diddle: I'm feeling very similar to you, it's absolutely baking in this house, it's actually cooler to go outside, although the neighbours all seem to be having rather stinky bonfire's, they're either burning poo or something else sulphur based! I'm busy trying to keep cool by drinking lots of fizzy water and as for the pain, well, that's showing no signs of disappearing, in fact gets worse by the day
How long have you got left? By all accounts I'm due on the 12th but MW told me today LO's not even slightly engaged (and DD was 10 days late so I reckon this one will be at least that! )

ccpink: Good one! I like it, will mention that one to him later, thanks Ah yes, he did mention me doing the garden some point quite early on and I just reminded him of the fox/cat/hedgehog poo that pretty much covers our lawns Besides the garden's his domain, mine's the kitchen, living room, bathroom . . . hang on?! I've got a raw deal here
HeeHee you think you're sad, I spent most of lunchtime y'day telling a friend of mine about DD's new nappy habits, don't think he was too impressed but he now realises that I have NO life and feels very sorry for me

HIWBB: Why did the obst even bother with that little speech? muppets sometimes they just don't think about what it is that you need to be hearing etc! Like you haven't got enough to be thinking about with the cs coming he goes and confuddles you at the last minute [raspberry face]

MrsBumblebee: glad all went ok, blooming LO's they're all getting us now aren't they?! Last minute checks just to check they're still in there, yeah like we need to be rushing around at this point?! Are they just preparing us for the trouble they're going to cause in the near future Wont be ruling that out!

EmlouT: Congrats on getting a date! I'm happy to take anyone's news as a text buddy, I'm going to be sat around for a while by the looks of things!

Well I best be getting him up now, think he's had long enough or shall I send DD up to bounce on his head?
Have a good evening ladies
Ky 39+2

MrsFish · 07/09/2007 19:04

Hello All

Well ds is in bed and I think asleep, thank feck for that. He has totally exhausted me today and I have only had him the afternoon.

I didn't get to sleep last night till about 1am and I woke up at 3am for the loo and ds was awake at 5.30 [yawn] took him to his new kindergarten this morning, which he seemed to really enjoy and they said he was golden, as if he had been going for months I came home and hoovered all downstairs and mopped. Also cleaned the aga, washed ds's old buggy in readiness for this one and a few other bits and bobs.

Picked ds up, he fell asleep in the car but woke up when we got home and he had only had 5 mins, wouldn't then go to sleep again later. I have had another battle of wills over food with him today, and the constant whining and crying over everything. I am utterly exhausted, early night for me tonight. So glad dh is home tomorrow night.

Sorry its a me me me post

lou031205 · 07/09/2007 19:10

Hi all,

Congratulations to the new arrivals.

Hope cerys is recovering well, Southampton is a good unit.

EMLOUT - if you want to email me louise underscore vardy at o2 dot co dot uk (that's o for orange) then I will gladly pass on your news.

emj23 · 07/09/2007 19:19

Congratulations dal21 and welcome to her baby boy!

canadianmum · 07/09/2007 19:31

Congratulations Dal!!! My boys were under 5lbs when I brought them home (under 4lbs when they were born) and they are now amongst the tallest (and brightest - although I may be slightly biased ) in their class. Can't wait to find out your lo's name.

Emlout - feel free to text me with your news, I don't think my lo will be arriving
anytime soon. Good luck for Monday, hope your BP drops right down after the birth too - I am sure it will!

HIWBB - from all you have said it still sounds to me like you should just stick with the original plan of having a CS (yes, that would be me with NO medical training who can barely put a plaster on my son's finger properly ). Anyway, if you were my sister that is what I would say. Feel free to ignore!!!! (just like my sister would).

Felt really odd this afternoon, slightly dizzy and very tired. It was very hard looking after the boys and I almost collapsed with relief when DH walked in at 6pm. Now looking forward to curry and telly!!

I posted 3 photos today, hope I did it right ......

MrsMar · 07/09/2007 20:57

Hi all!

Congratulations Dal!!! If you're reading this I hope you're recovering well and are able to get some rest. I look forward to hearing all about cs and ds!!!

Congratulations too to Bendybus. I hope you're settling in well with dd.

Canadianmum - great pictures, your boys are such cuties!

Kyala - LOL @ not marrying Homer Simpson!!! I didn't either, but seem to be married to him now, big tummy and all!!! (although that could be down to me and my over cooking obssession!)

I've been shattered today, having had such a crummy summer the weather now is really making things hard, I'm finding the heat horrible. God knows how I'd have been if we'd had three months of this. Of course things are compounded by the road works still going on outside my house, I can't open the windows as the noise level is so great. The house was shaking this morning with all the drilling! I was sweltering in the heat but couldn't face the noise if I opened the windows.

Ho hum! I'm off to play with my new mobile, I haven't had one in ages, I was really reluctant to give up my lovely Motorola Pebl, but it died a death on me today so I had to.

I hope everyone has a good night, sleep well, with not too many trips to the loo or too much hip pain! Take care

xx

spangly · 07/09/2007 21:18

Hi all
Sorry but I've not had time to keep up over the last few weeks. Was is hospital for week at 36+4 weeks following a bleed, then exchanged contracts on our house (finally) so were busy getting organised for the move on the 14th.

Our big news however is that our son LUKE THOMAS arrived at 39+1 weeks by emergency c-section on Mon 3rd Sept at 17.50, weighing 8lb 15oz. He's absolutely gorgeous and settling well now we're home.

Huge congratulations to everyone else who has had their baby and for those still waiting it's not long now and the wait is well worth it
