Good afternoon all. Well I saw the mw this morning, and... lo had moved and she now thinks he is head down, with back and bum on my right hand side, and legs stretching right over the top of my bump to the left hand side so no cs talk at the moment. She has said that he seems like a right fidgit so he may turn again, but for the moment all is well and I am to see her in two weeks time. Phew, at least I know now... I was looking forward to having another scan tho Also my iron levels are back up to 11.4 from 9.4 so that's good too
Went into town to do a bit of shopping after and have just got back, am now going to relax till 5.30 when I go and pick up ds, I hope he has had a good full day seeing as he is only used to half days

Ok - so me again!

But this time on behalf of PLP

I received this txt earlier today.

Hi, Sorry i haven't been in touch but have had a few problems with Cerys. She hasn't got a hole in her bottom so had to have an operation last night in Southampton to put a bag on. She's recovering well but we've got a long road ahead of us! Might be home by the weekend so will try to post then. Hope all's well with everybody xx

MrsFish · 06/09/2007 15:22

Oh dear, that's not good news

Thinking of you all PLP xx

kinki · 06/09/2007 15:42

Poor little Cerys. Facing so much when so young. I'm willing (I'm sure we all are) that she is strong and makes a speedy recovery from the op. Lots of love sent to Cerys's mummy and daddy too. Hoping you are staying strong too. Take care. x

kyala · 06/09/2007 15:47

Ah thanks Chatty will look that one up!
That's terrible about Cerys, I'd never even heard of that before! Poor little thing, hope she gets better son and they can sort that out, sounds horrendous!

Vibes going out ((((((((( )))))))))))

EmLouT · 06/09/2007 15:54

canadianmum · 06/09/2007 16:19

PLP - poor little Cerys, and poor you. But these tiny babies are really much tougher than they look. Sending you lots of positive thoughts!!!

Congratulations trinity and fiofio - more wonderful babies to add to our evergrowing numbers!!!

Norfolk - good luck!!!!

loopylou - glad to hear your lo likes to bf, it can be hard for the first couple weeks as you know but then it really is easier than ff.

floss - you mentioned pate and champagne, I am dying to have goat's cheese and parma ham, I have told DH that the day I come home we are ordering my favourite takeaway salad which has those two things in - can't wait!!

Dal - good luck tomorrow!!!!!! Can't wait to hear your news.

My boys started school today, everything was going well, Ds1 went off into his classroom absolutely fine but ds2 got the quivering lip and wet eyes and I lost it, tears streaming down my face and finally had to be practically dragged out by DH. Sobbed all the way home, then pulled myself together. DS1 was beaming at pick up time and DS2 was fine, both teachers said they had been happy. Ds1 now refusing to take his uniform off and can't stop talking about school!!! tomorrow should be interesting. You will all be having this fun in 5 years time .

Not a twinge from this baby - ho hum, but no rush, really want to get the boys settled in at school and looks like that might be a few more days yet .

YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

to everyone of you lucky people.

We are still in one piece lol. I am hoping lo will arrive from now as next week I will have to take boys to and from school everyday as mum v busy with hospital appointments etc.

thomcat · 06/09/2007 16:33

PLP - Congratulations on the birth of your lovely daughter. Sorry you've not been able to come straight home with your little one though.
Fwiw, the same happened to a friend of a friends dd and although they had some rough times their little girl is happy and healthy etc. I'm sure she'd be happy to chat if you ever need to talk to anyone about any concerns.

MrsFish · 06/09/2007 16:37

Many Congratulations Pennypops

Hopeitwontbebig · 06/09/2007 17:29

Congratulations Pennypops , so happy for you x x x

PLP, sorry to hear poor little Cerys has been through an operation. Poor little thing, really feel for you all. Here's wishing her a very speedy recovery and that'll you all be at home soon. x

FioFio, congrats to you, hope to hear more news on your little boy

kinki, FAB photos. What handsome boys you have! All 3 of them

Twitmonster, message to minitwit, come this week, come this week. Worth a try

Canadianmum, poor you. I remember DS2's first full day at school, I came home and collapsed in a heap on the stairs and just sobbed and sobbed. That only seems like yesterday, not 4 years ago! So I do understand (((((hugs))))) to you. Glad they sound like they had a fun day. Are they in the same class?

Norfolk, good luck, thinking of you. x

MrsFish, so glad to hear that LO has turned. Stay turned now LO, do you hear????

kyala, what have you been baking? Big bird?

Floss, you've got a bit of a dilemma there haven't you. FWIW, I think the important person to consider is your DP, it's just such an important time for him. Will he feel uncomfortable/pushed aside if your Mum is at the birth too? Difficult one. Will your Mum be upset if you say you want it to be just you and DP? Hope you get it sorted love, you don't need the stress and worry. x

Dal, how are you feeling today? You must be all over the place. How surreal, to think this time tomorrow you'll be holding your LO, HOW EXCITING IS THAT????? x x x

I've had a nice day today. Had another positive physio appointment with DH this morning. His physiotherapist is really encouraged by some flickers going on in some muscles in is upper arm/shoulder. Let's pray for more recovery. Had lunch with some girlfriends which was great, had a good catch up session after the school hols.

Tomorrow, I've got a physio appointment in the morning for my dodgy hip, then in the afternoon I have an appointment with my obstetrician who will be performing my cs - eek, all seems VERY real now!

HIWBB 37+4 (11 days to go!)

Congratulations Pennypops!

spraklynewthing · 06/09/2007 17:54

Hi All,

After returning to mumsnet after a long(ish) break my blinking broadband is up the swanny and I CAN'T GET ON! flipping talk talk.. Posting from my Mum's!

Wow! Our babies are coming thick and fast. Such beautiful names too - I think Sept ladies obviously have the best taste - Congratulations to all! This is SO EXCITING!!

I went to see my consultant yesterday and I am being induced on Tuesday if baby hasn't made an appearance before then. DH and I are trying every induction tip in the book to try and get things moving naturally...The doctor gave me a fairly vigourous internal so I have been trying to maximise this with pineapple, curry, RLT, dancing, walking, sex(!) - everything but castor oil - i am NOT feeling that one! I have been having period type pains and back ache so maybe something is happening - no show or waters yet though...

HIWBB - DH physio appointment sounds very postive - long may it continue!

love and baby vibes to all!

xx

canadianmum · 06/09/2007 18:35

HIWBB - thanks for your support re: start of school, boys are in separate classes but I don't really think that is a big part of ds2's tears this am. I think they will quite enjoy being apart actually. Glad to hear your DH is making good physio progress!

sprakly - just saw your due date is 3/9, why are they inducing you so soon? Are you happy with that? You know that you are actually not late until 42 weeks, and it is only then that things get slightly riskier for the baby (can you tell I went to my pregnancy yoga class last night? the teacher is an active birth guru and is terribly anti-induction). She also told us that 70% of babies are born between 39 and 41 weeks which I didn't know. She feels that we should really consider the 41 wk date as our due date - yikes!!

amyclaramum · 06/09/2007 18:37

Just popping in quickly to say Good luck for tomorrow Dal - thinking of you - so exciting !!

And PLP - So sorry that little Cerys has had an op - sending you all loads of love and hugs !

gOOD LUCK Norfolk - guess its all happening !?

and Congratulations pennypops - well done - a lovely little boy !

love to everyone else xxx

emj23 · 06/09/2007 18:41

Congratulations to Trinity1 and welcome baby Oriana!

Congratulations to Pennypops and welcome to baby Frederick!

PLP, I hope you and Cerys are both okay and that you will be bringing her home very soon.

Hope everyone else is feeling fine, looking forward to seeing more announcements over the next few days! I'm quite of all of you who know when you will have your babies!

yetihed · 06/09/2007 18:45

Many congrats to all new mums and love and thoughts with those who are worrying this evening...

I have a question! I am 37+4 and for the last few evenings have had period type pains. Not particularly strong, but definitely there. Could this be a sign that something is beginning to happen?

MrsMar · 06/09/2007 18:49

Congratulations pennypops, I hope you and Frederick are both well!

xx
