Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

Welcome to all the new joiners and congratulations on your BFPs.

Still no symptoms for me. I've got some digitals to use tomorrow so hoping to see 2-3 weeks 🤞🏼 DH just said are they MORE pregnancy tests Blush

@ninemonthwait they aren't cheap the digis are they Blush

I saw your OP said you were planning to go for an early scan. How far are you and how early do you hope to have a scan? I was thinking 8 weeks but now I'm like maybe I could go at 6 or 7 weeks and then go again a couple weeks later if my nhs scan isn't for a while!

Missdrifter · 19/11/2019 19:37

I am the same.. keep testing all the time. My boobs are tender now but that’s from me prodding them all day to check if they are sore 🙄 my partner thinks I have lost the plot. I was planning an early scan at 9 weeks but don’t know if I can wait that long now. I think if I start getting symptoms I might try and hold out but the days are going very slowly at the moment!!

mumof1babe · 19/11/2019 19:38

Welcome to all the newcomers and a big congrats on the BFP's.

I have eventually managed to curb my POAS addiction for the time being after having my 3+, they are great but it's confused me more with my dates so I think I'm due around 17-19th July. Hopefully have it confirmed at my early scan.

The nurse from EPU said best to wait until around 6.5 weeks as increased chance of seeing heartbeat, it's possible to see it sooner but she said it would save unnecessary worry! I'm actually thinking of booking a private for 23rd December as I would be over 10weeks and would love to announce to the rest of my family on Christmas Day!

I've already told my mum and

ninemonthwait · 19/11/2019 19:38

@EnglishRain this was my first cycle with Letrozole so the Fertility Clinic have booked me in for 7 weeks. All going well I think I might still book another at 10 weeks which may have a clearer picture we can use for a Christmas announcement.... My justification for the cost is to count it as an Xmas present!

Hi
Congrats all! I am due 18th July. I am 5 weeks 3 days I'm so excited I want to scream it. So hard to keep quiet. Grin

mumof1babe · 19/11/2019 19:46

Congrats @Klan19 and welcome!!

Totally relate lol it really is just the most exciting secret to have isn't it.

amysara24 · 19/11/2019 19:55

@ninemonthwait I have a fertility clinic scan on 11/12 - I’m hoping they’ll be able to give me a copy to take as we’re planning to use it to tell family at Christmas too!
@Klan19 welcome! I’m struggling with not telling anyone and everyone too!

EnglishRain · 19/11/2019 19:59

That would be really cute @ninemonthwait ! I am so cautious because of infertility and chemical pregnancies that I don't plan to even tell anyone if I make it to 12 weeks. I know a couple of people who had bad news at 20 week scans, and I have the most awful manager in the entire world, so I don't want work knowing either.

6.5-7 weeks sounds like a good call then! It looks like a private clinic does them on Sundays so I might see if I can go on 1st Dec if I make it that far. I basically want to get through my first hurdle of panic that it isn't ectopic, nor a blighted ovum! It's awful but I already feel like I'm bonding with the little blob before I even know whether it's real or not Blush

Klan19 · 19/11/2019 20:08

It's so great I can tell you all! It would be lovely to tell all my family and friends at xmas but my 12 weeks dosent work out until 4th Jan. It's my little boys bday the week after so were thinking of doing a reveal around his bday. I would do it xmas day but I really want to certainty from my 12 week scan. I'm such a worrier dont want to sound negative just want to make sure.

I'm so happy for you all

WrappedInABlankie · 19/11/2019 20:16

Hey!

We've been trying for 8 months and unexpectedly got an early peak on the 3rd November (wasn't expecting it till the 7th) finally got out clear BFP on the 14th

Already booked in for an early scan with EMU on the 5/12 but should be due 28th July if all goes to plan!

helly013 · 19/11/2019 20:40

Hello I’m also a newbie to this! I’m currently about 5 weeks I think due around 20th July, first pregnancy, haven’t had any symptoms at all, apart from anxious about what symptoms I could get! Vicious cycle. Have been to the doctors, I have to self refer to the midwife but can only do that from 6 weeks, have my flu jab booked in for just over a week though. Hoping the anxiety will calm down, just trying to think positive and enjoy these days of feeling normal, I keep torturing myself reading everyone’s morning sickness symptoms. We’re planning on telling just family Christmas Day as won’t be 12 weeks until about 8th January. Grateful of the timing if I am feeling sickness that I’ve got 2 weeks relief over Christmas off work! X

mumof1babe · 19/11/2019 22:14

Congrats @helly013 and @WrappedInABlankie and welcome!

My first thought every morning is "do I feel nauseas", past few days followed by me running to the toilet to dry heave 🙄 haven't been sick as of yet but hoping it's a good sign.

I remember being sick with my first after 7 weeks so still a bit of time if this ones going to follow suit.

Anyone else been suffering serious bloat?? I'm usually a size 6-8 and the past week or so my bloating has gone wild, stomach relatively flat in morning then as soon as I eat, out it pops. Hmm

Mimi91 · 20/11/2019 07:20

@mumof1babe oh yes, the bloat is real! I am so paranoid at work, I look like a have a serious bump going on. I'm quite petite, so the bloat is SO obvious. My colleague worked out I was pregnant 5 minutes after going into work on Monday morning 🙈 going to have to bring out the oversized jumpers..

ninemonthwait · 20/11/2019 08:20

I got my 3+ weeks on digital this morning so hopefully this will stop my POAS addiction!

OP posts:
amysara24 · 20/11/2019 10:24

@ninemonthwait yay!!Congratulations!
According to my cycle app I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow, so I might use my last remaining digital at the weekend and hope for the 3+.. then maybe I’ll stop too!
I’m not overly bloated but definitely still extremely nauseous - though no vomiting yet! Mine seems to be worse through the night and early hours of the morning rather than when I wake up though..

WooMaWang · 20/11/2019 10:30

I have been absolutely freezing this past week. Ridiculously so. It's definitely me, rather than the room temperature. It's just so hard to get warm enough to be comfortable.

Anyone else shivering away?

amysara24 · 20/11/2019 11:12

@WooMaWang yes! Me!! My DH is going mad because I keep turning up the heating, but I just can’t get warmed up at all!

EnglishRain · 20/11/2019 12:36

I'm the opposite, keeping getting too warm!

ninemonthwait · 20/11/2019 13:00

@WooMaWang yes, I am sat under a blanket with the heating up full and DH is walking around in shorts and a t-shirt!

OP posts:
mumof1babe · 20/11/2019 13:23

@ninemonthwait glad you got your 3+ today!

I am freezing aswell constantly got the heating on, also so so tired don't want to do anything!

Ifyouknowyouknow · 20/11/2019 13:36

Also jumping in, just got an unexpected BFP yesterday. Decided to take a test after missing AF for two days, this will be my third child.. Still getting my head around that one!

Due date is 27th of July

WooMaWang · 20/11/2019 16:09

Congratulations @Ifyouknowyouknow.

I'm hoping the being freezing passes. It's no fun at all. I'm also feeling really quite sick this afternoon and really tired. I'm sitting in the living room wrapped in a blanket considering a nap but I'm not sure I'll sleep with this nausea. Early pregnancy is super fun. 😂

EnglishRain · 20/11/2019 17:05

Congrats @Ifyouknowyouknow

@WooMaWang I've just woken up from a nap Blush

LittleMrsMama · 20/11/2019 17:26

Good evening ladies!

I'm so excited to see this post and hear we're all going through the same thing! I'm due 24th July. I'm so scared of miscarriage but very excited to tell a few family members at Christmas!

Looking forward to hearing how everyone gets on and if there are any good announcement ideas. My plan was to announce on Boxing Day after reading a post about being sensitive to people trying and think my brother and his wife have been trying (but hoping they're also pregnant!). We were one of the lucky ones that conceived first time and feeling very grateful but equally am conscious of people around me.
