Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

From what I’ve been reading, twinges and pains are really common at this stage, as things start to really stretch! I’ve definitely got a bit of bump now that I didn’t have on Friday - even a colleague (who knows - not just a rude one!) commented that I’d got bigger since Friday!
@HairsprayBabe that’s a great deal!! I bough and put away a ridiculous amount of stuff when I worked at next and got discount, have basically a full wardrobe of neutral, girls and boys stuff.. they definitely thought I was crazy at the time!
Had my rubella immunity test and it’s come back that I’m still immune which is good, though also got word that the pupil didn’t have rubella at all it was a pharmacist jumping to conclusions.. all that worry over nothing, but I’m just glad it’s all sorted now and one less thing to stress about!
How is everyone doing this week? I still can’t believe we’ve been here together for about 13 weeks now - how has it been that long?!

Did anybody get told at their 12 week scan (n.b. I was 13 weeks when I had mine) what the likely sex was? My sonographer guessed boy but - understandably - she was very hesitant to confirm one way or another...

PS: I hope that everybody's twinges are manageable! They do come and go... I have had them in my other pregnancies x

@CheesePleaseLoueese no they didn't even make a suggestion about sex.
Are you gonna find out? We are at 16 weeks. We think boy for sure so just want to know!

Hello ladies, bit of a gross one, but is anyone else constipated? It's horrendous and so painful. I dread going to the toilet. The pharmacy gave me Lactulose but I don't feel it's making any difference. I look and feel extremely bloated as a result Sad

@pottypotamus yep! The bloat has been terrible. I find it so much worse when I've eaten rubbish or over indulged so I'm trying to be a bit more sensible. It's hard tho when the cravings are strong for mcdonald's etc Blush

@pottypotamus meeee BlushConfused Fybogel has been pretty effective for me, you can get it in Tesco and safe to use during pregnancy

Thanks ladies, @squirrelnutkins1 I will definitely try and keep off the junk! It's hard though when all I want for lunch is chips!!
@RedGirl99 thanks I will look for this. Is this the stuff that you mix with water and it gets thicker and thicker?

RedGirl99 · 28/01/2020 16:06

@pottypotamus that's the one! Although, if you can mix it and pretty much down it in one immediately after it's not too bad at all, but if you take it in small sips (as I found out) it turns into a really thick gel and is absolutely awful to try and get down!

Not the best, but after persevering it has definitely helped!

@pottypotamus lactulose worked for me during BF but took a good few days to work, it's very gentle.x

Thanks @Kiki275
I've been taking it for coming up to a week now and I think it's just about kicking in. Which is making bathroom time a lot more bearable!! 😅
I've found I'm less bloated as well, so fingers crossed!
