Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

@mywrencalls the midwife might not be working over the weekend, you could ring your midwifery unit if you are worried. I think your right though it's probably your cervix, they are very vascular at the moment!

mywrencalls · 11/01/2020 14:21

@LucyLucyT She told me anytime Mon-Fri between 9am and 5pm, I messaged her at 10am Friday morning Sad Although wasn't too worried as it had stopped as soon as it started otherwise I'd have rand the EPU. Maybe she's off sick or something.

@Southy84 Yes I think it would be a cervix thing, now I'm scared to do a number two even though that's what I've been wishing for all week! (Sorry tmi again Confused )

LucyLucyT · 11/01/2020 15:07

@mywrencalls Ahh sorry I think I thought you meant you texted today. Can you take some laxatives or eat some prunes maybe?!

EnglishRain · 11/01/2020 15:14

Thanks for the sympathy ladies, it's nice to chat to people who are in the same boat and understand the panic that IBS can bring in pregnancy.

@LucyLucyT I think I am starting to get this. Last few days I go for a wee and then realise I still need to go after. Have to really force it out, no pain or anything, it's like that feeling when you've held a full bladder for so long you can't release it in one go!

@mywrencalls that sounds really scary, hope you're OK. The fact it stopped is a good sign, and the fact it was during a BM probably was too, it would make sense. I'm trying to drink lots to avoid struggling to go, that and eating prunes! Straining can give you piles anyway so that's a good enough incentive too 😬

Just had my private scan and it was bad news. Baby stopped growing at 9+3 and there was no heartbeat. I feel like a wreck, can’t stop crying, I think mainly because I know what’s to come next. Going to hug my children that bit more tonight.

I just want to say for those worrying, I had spotting in a healthy pregnancy so please don’t see my bad news that spotting can’t be normal.

Wishing you all healthy and happy pregnancies x

LucyLucyT · 11/01/2020 16:09

@Southy84 goodness, I'm so so sorry to hear this. It's hard to know what to say in these situations. I think you are entitled to cry as much as you want. Sending lots of virtual hugs your way.

Not sure about anyone else but always forget to pop in here but the support is amazing.
When i was pregnant with my last daughter we set up a group and it was brilliant alot of us are still in touch now 2 years later xxx
Have a lovely day ladies xxx

Me too!

EnglishRain · 13/01/2020 15:21

Also, we could have a spreadsheet of users and due dates so we don't lose track of where we are all at Grin
