Late July Due Date

Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

@hermionelodge I know the feeling of waiting for that dating scan, only a few weeks till the 21st.
Thanks all for the reassurance, no bleeding just the odd cramps so fx all will be OK.

@Vickiduduu Hey! I've had pretty bad cramps the past few days and also had very uncomfortable lower back pain. Reading up on it and it all seems normal... finding the Ovia app really interesting and helpful! X

@Vickiduduu I had cramps that woke me up this morning, I'm 10+6 today. They didn't last very long but did make me nervous. I do think the cramps are the worst when my digestion so not really functioning properly.

@squirrelnutkins1 I hope the scan goes well today. I know how you feel about being anxious, I love to feel excited going into a scan, not sure I ever will.

My nausea is starting to ease which I know is normal but not very reassuring.

Little bean was jumping around like crazy!!! She's put me at 10+4 so just a day behind what I thought.

@squirrelnutkins1 that's fab news! So happy for you! I hate the random bleeding, really does put the fear in you! So glad it wasn't anything to be concerned about.

I'm pretty sure it's from my pee hole (sorry for not using technical terms 🤣🤣🤣) I had a little more so think I'll ring midwife on mon just to let her know. Imagine she'll tell me TL take in another pee sample x

@squirrelnutkins1 wonder if it's a UTI. I've had two since being pregnant! It really is amazing seeing your wee baby at the scan isn't it 💗

Did you have antibiotics for it? I've only had a little blood and backache but backache could be anything 🙈 sorry you've had two!

@squirrelnutkins1 that's fantastic news. It crazy how much they jump about but we can feel anything.

@squirrelnutkins1 so pleased the scan went well for you! For now I would say drink lots and lots of water, it might help if you have a UTI. Some people find cranberry juice helpful but I find it hard to drink!

Cranberry juice is a weird one, it's a liquid but it's the driest liquid ever! I'll get OH to get me some later to try and flush anything out.

No more bleeding fortunately and I've been knocking back the cranberry juice just in case so hopefully it was just irritated down there or something!

Told our two closest friends this weekend. It's made it feel a bit more real! I'm still really nervous in case things go wrong but it was nice to have people genuinely excited for us 😊

@squirrelnutkins1 Great news!! UTI's are apparently fairly common during pregnancy - delightful !

Bet it feels lovely to be able to share your news with other people - can imagine thats when it all starts to feel less surreal.

My partner and I are planning to tell our folks tonight / tomorrow. I am bricking it!!!! Any advice welcomed haha!!

Had my scan today, 11+1 everything looked good, it was jumping around. I was so nervous as I've felt pretty well the last few days and my bloat and stomach has pretty much gone flat. Next will be 17th January with the NHS. No more fertility clinic.

@squirrelnutkins1 thats the tactic I think we will use, I've bought a tiny wee babygrow to give them too... its nerve wracking though. Wont be telling others until we have our first NHS scan.
Are you going to find out if you're having a boy or girl?

We're finding out the sex from our NIPT test, so in about a week and a half I'll know. Crazy.

Had a scan this morning at 12 weeks, everything looks good 🥰. Was really hard to get a good picture as baby was jumping all over the place, the sonographer was in training too, felt bad for her!

May have had a sneaky little look in Jojo Maman Bebe after. It's early, but all the sales are on! Anyone else started buying little bits?

Congratulations @Mimi91 that’s great news, how are you feeling symptom wise? Mine is on Friday and feeling really excited but anxious. We haven’t started buying bits but I think I might start around 16 weeks although if all goes well Friday I may also pop in to JoJo’s haha

@Missdrifter morning sickness has ramped up and food is the enemy. How are your symptoms?

Completely normal feeling anxious, I was the same, I'm sure it'll all be fine. Hope it goes well, not long to wait!

Congratulations on the scans @LillyLeaf and @Mimi91! Such exciting times! I'm on the 2 week countdown for mine but do nervous and scared it will be bad news. My lower back has just been constant agony today and my tailbone. Also was up through the night with an upset stomach and cramps but I'm hoping that was just the food i had before bed! This first trimester lark is so stressful!

@zeeeex good luck ok sharing your news tonight! It's so nerve wracking but so nice when it's out in the open with some people. I was so nervous to tell my mum even though I'm a grown adult in my 30s with a long term partner haha. She was fine though!

@Mimi91 oh no poor you, I thought symptoms were supposed to subside 2nd trimester? I have been very lucky with my symptoms and didn’t really have any until around week 9 when I started to feel sick on and off but that’s stopped now and I just feel tired and boobs are still a bit tender. I had a scan at 10 weeks 4 days so I have my fingers crossed that everything is still ok.

So did you end up resisted the sales or did you get a few cheeky purchases?
