Late July Due Date

Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

I've been MIA for a bit. Hate my job so much. Thinking of ringing in sick next week and not going back until the new year. Not feeling amazing in terms of pregnancy symptoms, and I work in an incredibly dysfunctional team. If something goes wrong with this pregnancy I think I would rather be at home anyway, it's not as though I work in a supportive environment. Having had two chemicals before and about to be referred for IVF before this pregnancy, I am quite worried still. Got a meeting with the CEO today about my concerns in the team.

How are you all coping at work? Anyone else in a seriously awful team too?!

Thanks everyone. Scan went well, measuring at 7 weeks which is what we thought and a strong heartbeat. I feel like we can get excited about it now. Booked in for a private scan on 22nd December too. Good luck this evening @Missdrifter

@EnglishRain sorry to hear you are in such a bad work environment. It must be so hard when you spend the majority of your day in work, especially with everything else you have going on.

@EnglishRain sorry to hear of your struggles. Definitely take the time off and just use it to relax. I work full time in quite a stressful environment and I don't think it's doing me any good. I feel highly strung all the time. I spoke to my MD yesterday and told her and she has been very nice about it and told me my priority is me and the baby and not to stress about work at all. Although it's much easier said than done.

@EnglishRain sorry about your work. I raised serious concerns about someone in the team and then I assume to get me back, she made up loads of lies about me and escalated it to three tiers of management!!!!!

I woke up this morning with incredibly sore nipples, the last week or so they've just felt tender but good grief they are in agony this morning.
Nausea has been on and off but I feel rough most of the time. Almost like I am ill.

Food aversions are driving me mad, can't even fathom the thought of a christmas dinner so this year may be a write off for me!

Amazing news @ninemonthwait 🥰 can I ask was it a abdominal scan? I've got one tomorrow I'm expecting to be 7 weeks and I know where I'm going doesn't do internal as an option. My last pregnancy I had one at 6 weeks and had to be an internal so not sure what to expect xx

@Chlandy it was an internal scan, it was by the Fertility Clinic so not sure if that was the reason for not being an external scan. Good Luck tomorrow x

Hi ladies. Congratulations on your scan @ninemonthwait! Just had mine and it was also good. Baby measured 7 weeks and heartbeat was 130 which I think is good. I had a abdominal scan and it was quite tricky to find it at first but was all visible after they prodding around.

That's fab news @missdrifter! So happy for you! So nice to have two positive outcomes in one day. At least you can now out your mind at ease and enjoy Xmas

Thank you @hermionelodge. I mentioned about booking another scan in pre Christmas and they thought it wasn’t needed but I still might do. I came out with photos, charts with size etc and all my notes. The two ladies were really reassuring and advised me to stay off google haha.

Yeah I think it probably becomes addictive haha. You just want to see your little bean growing and growing and it just seems so long to wait for the 12 weeks. Do you have your date for that? Yes Google is the devil, I'm never off it and it messes with my head haha! That's so good you got all that away with you. I wouldn't be able to stop looking at the pictures haha

I seen the doctor today as I'm having a lot of brown on the tissue after the toilet (sorry if tmi) and a lot of stomach pains and lower back pain but she just tested my urine and took a swab. She also called the EPU and they have booked me in to epu for a scan on the 17th. I have the private one booked on the 24th... if all goes well on the 17th I might still keep it too

The pictures don’t actually show much at all but a little grey blob lol.

It must be a worrying time for you but I am pretty sure brown discharge isn’t all that uncommon and likely to be old blood. I had some just before my missed period. That’s really good they have booked you in for a scan though and by the 17th you should see a nice strong heart beat.

Aww, that blob is so reassuring though. Especially as you were worried you didn't have much symptoms

Yes I'm constantly worrying with every toilet trip and every twinge and cramp but just going to take each day as it comes. I have my midwife appt on weds so will speak to her about everything and then it will be less than a week til the scan from there, so positive thoughts only 😊

@Chlandy I had a scan at 6w 3d and they could see on an abdominal one. I have a retroverted uterus so I was quite surprised they could see, and I hadn't drunk anything beforehand.

I've decided to go off sick from Monday. Working from home tomorrow anyway and got a funeral in the afternoon. Don't plan to go back to work until the New Year I don't think 😳

@hermionelodge that’s good you have your midwife appointment next week and I am sure she will reassure you. Mine isn’t until the 23rd!

Thanks @EnglishRain sorry to hear about having troubles at work. I think you have made the right decision because you need to put your health and pregnancy first. You must feel better since making that decision.

@EnglishRain yes definately need to think of yourself at this time and take some time away from all the stress!

@Missdrifter yes, definitely more reassured and had my first Midwife appointment this afternoon so been given my pregnancy booklet and and got my booking appointment on 17th December

@ninemonthwait that’s exciting having a midwife appointment, I wish mine was early. We are both at exactly the same stage so are due date buddies 😀 have you been giving your dating scan day yet? They gave me the 8th January but partner can’t make it so asked for alternative date.

@Missdrifter no not yet, will get it at my next appointment but she said should be OK for 9th Jan. I hope your alternate date isn't too far off 8th Jan. Need to stay try and stay positive now for another 4 weeks!!
