Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

I think I'll give them a call on Thursday when I'm 6 weeks, would save me £60 if I get an NHS early scan!

@amysara24 I'm not in Falkirk but my heating broke this morning too! I'm down South but it's pretty chilly tonight. Ordered a new pump for our heating system but it doesn't come until at least Thursday, think we'll have to get the fireplace on the go tomorrow!
@ninemonthwait I have found the heartbeat a reassurance considering my symptoms yesterday, having said that if I hadn't been having fertility treatment I'm not sure if I would've paid for an early scan or not.

@ninemonthwait I am the same as you with literally no symptoms. I had sore boobs but the past two days they have been feeling much less sore. I am convinced something is wrong. Fair play with the swapping drinks, did you tell anyone so that they could help, that sounds tricky!

Hey everyone

Have spent the past few days feeling so anxious in the lead up to my scan today. But... we have a heartbeat!!

Measuring at 6+6, was unsure of dates but thought I was just over 7 weeks, not worrying as I know it's usual for dates to not be bang on so early. My bladder wasn't overly full so not the best view but I didn't want a TV scan, especially since they could confirm good heartbeat externally!

Good luck to all with scans coming up, my anxiety it so much reduced now. I've gone and booked a private scan for 23rd December so that I can tell my family then 💓

After reading all these posts about early scans I booked one for this evening. I just have this horrible feeling that something is wrong! Very nervous now.

@amysara24 I had convinced myself that all of my symptoms were in my head and that it wouldn't be good news today, heck I even cried when she started the scan waiting for her to say there wasn't a heartbeat! But all is well, I have everything crossed for you. Good luck 💙

I just had an early scan, I've had some blood on the tissue after wiping this morning and it just sent me into complete meltdown so I booked the scan this morning. I thought I was 6 weeks today but sonographer advised I'm only measuring 5weeks... They have booked me in for Xmas eve and basically just said cross your fingers we can see an embryo and heartbeat. So I'm crossing fingers and toes!

@hermionelodge sorry to hear about your worries, I'm hoping and praying for you that at the next scan they see a growing baby with a heartbeat! This is such an anxious time for everyone and such a difficult time to get correct dates etc so there's every chance things will be great at next scan. Have you been bleeding or just when you wiped? So much conflicting information but my SIL recently had the some blood when wiping and things turned out fine, I'm hoping this will be the same for you 💙

@hermionelodge I’m sorry to hear about your day, when it’s so early on every day makes a difference to being able to see something on a scan so fingers crossed at your next you’ll see a lovely heartbeat!

Thanks for all your messages today, just back from my scan and my mind has been put to rest thankfully. I measured one day less than I thought so pretty accurate.
Saw a really strong heartbeat and she said the bean was in the right position so fingers crossed it stays that way!
Anyone considering an early scan I would definitely recommend it, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted today just seeing something on the screen.

I really hope so, would make xmas day very special. It really is the most nerve wracking time. And so lonely and confusing as you don't really have anyone to talk to about these things and ask if it's normal. The blood was only when I wiped and it was more brown. It just took me by surprise and my boobs have been so sore the past two weeks and they felt fine this morning so I just panicked. It's all the feelings as well, the cramps and twinges and aches it's just hard to know what's ok. I'm so glad things worked out for your SIL, it's always reassuring to hear positive stories. 3 weeks is a long wait but I have my midwife appt next week so it will be nice to just voice all my concerns.

@hermionelodge I've read that it's positive if it's brownish blood and it's old blood rather than fresh! Really hope you get the best Christmas present seeing your baby growing. You're so right, it is so lonely and all consuming having only yourself/partner to talk to. My husband is always so positive I don't think he understands how risky any pregnancy can be so doesn't understand my worries to the same extent although he always listens to them! We are here to help you though, love this group for the support especially before we all decided to share our news to the rest of the world!

Thanks @amysara24 yeah I'm a bit disappointed I'm a week behind where I thought I was but never mind. Just got to think positive going forward. I'm so glad your scan was all positive and a nice strong heartbeat. You must feel over the moon! It's so nice reading all the positive outcomes

@mumof1babe I had been reading the same so here's hoping. The cramps are so strong sometimes but I've also read that's just everything stretching. I spend all my free time reading up on everything, probably not the best. Oh yes, my DP is the same, he doesn't really understand how fragile this early stage is but he does always offer a shoulder and some reassurance. This group is definitely a saviour, it's so nice to see we all have the same worries and thoughts 💕

@amysara24 I am so pleased for you that’s brilliant news. How are you feeling in yourself? I really don’t feel any different so I have convinced myself I am not pregnant, I have a scan Thursday so will know then but trying to stay positive.

@hermionelodge that must have been a bit disappointing but I just echo what the others have said and at this early stage a few days does really make a difference. I am sure at your next scan you will be reassured.

@missdrifter thank you 💗 my boobs are massive and tender but apart from that I’m not feeling much. I occasionally get a queasy feeling but not often! And I’ve started to go off some foods but mildly. That’s why I booked the scan today to be honest, I just didn’t “feel” pregnant at all. I have the fertility clinic scan next Wednesday too but I just couldn’t wait til then 🤦🏽‍♀️
I hope everything goes well for you on Thursday too, I’m sure it will!

@Missdrifter definitely. In my mind I really just wanted to make it to 6 weeks, that was my first milestone and I was so excited when I first woke up. Then devastated with the blood and now feeling so far back that i have to sort of 're-do' week 5 if that makes sense. Time is even slower now! Good luck with your scan on Thursday, I hope everything goes well for you. Please let us know how you get on. I'm sure you've nothing to worry about

Thanks @amysara24 and @hermionelodge! My boobs did feel much fuller and quite sore but they have felt normal today. I know what you mean about time going slowly too and it’s all I can think about. Googling literally everything and I don’t know why I torture myself. Are the people who do the private scans able to give advice etc or so they simply just scan and send you off?

@missdrifter the lady who did mine just sort of talked me through everything, what she saw and what part was what. I got this to take away too (hopefully it uploads, and hopefully I’ve hidden my name etc 😂)

That’s amazing @amysara24 and you must be so relieved. That would def out my mind at rest. It’s like getting over another hurdle and you haven’t got long until your next appointment. I will let you know how I get on at mine.
