Anyone else just got their BFP? After 15 months of trying I have finally got mine, I am so excited but terrified of the long nine months ahead. Will definitely be going for an early scan in December for some reassurance!

@AliasGrape I was through the NHS too, and it was our first month of Clomid. I would definitely phone them back and ask. I booked a GP appointment for the day after, and basically just asked for advice on what to do now! Also congratulations on your wedding! We got married on NYE last year and it was so magical.
I love hearing all the names you’ve got for your bean! Very cute!!
I slipped out of work to go to a seminar which it turns out isn’t on, so heading into Edinburgh to do some Christmas shopping and wander around the markets until DH finishes work!

hermionelodge · 29/11/2019 13:13

Sorry to hear about your sickness @LittleMrsMama, sounds awful!

I'm 5+3 and no real symptoms either other than sore boobs and really bad bloating. I have felt a bit sick a couple of times bit it passes in minutes. Today I'm having weird pains on my right side. Quite sharp, so something else to send me into panic load along with the cramps and backache I've been having. The days really are dragging by

JackGordonsMummy · 29/11/2019 14:58

I'm super bloated too look 4 months not 6 weeks! I heard you show earlier 2nd pregnancy but surely not 6 weeks in haha. I took my 2 year old to the softplay today and now I could sleep for a week! The days really are dragging in.

EnglishRain · 29/11/2019 14:58

I went for an early scan today, eeeeek!

I think I'm 6w3d and blob measures 6w1d, but they said it's quite standard for it to be a day or two out this early. Everything looks as it should though, haven't got any big cysts anywhere or anything. Saw the heartbeat too 💕

When I was in there, I got this overwhelming feeling that it's a boy too! Be interesting to see if that's right or not 🤣

hermionelodge · 29/11/2019 17:02

How exciting @EnglishRain you must feel so happy seeing after seeing all is well and seeing the heartbeat! I can't wait to reach that stage! Spooky, are you going to find out before the birth or are you leaving it a surprise?

Hollielouise · 29/11/2019 17:12

Congratulations @EnglishRain I need to book in an early scan...! Can't wait much longer. I had HCG blood tests back today and the level was 2417 which my GP said is good for 5-6 weeks? He just took them to confirm the pregnancy. Has anyone else had bloods taken or know their HCG level?

LittleMrsMama · 29/11/2019 17:15

Omg @AliasGrape and @amysara24 I had to google what that was and thought it was Chlamydia. Definitely not that! Congratulations!!

@hermionelodge and @jackgordonsmummy sorry to hear you're both getting the bloating too! Switching to elasticated waistbands for work now and leggings at the weekend. It's so much more comfy!

Huge congratulations @EnglishRain ! I have my scan on Sunday, any advice? I bet it was amazing to see little baby and hear their heartbeat. I can't wait to get my scan. Are you feeling less anxious about the pregnancy now you've seen everything is okay? Sorry if it's TMI but was it uncomfortable with the probe stuck up you? It's my first time and I'm a bit shy with people going down there... I know I need to get used to it as it's only going to get worse with the birth!

JackGordonsMummy · 29/11/2019 17:21

Amazing news @englishRain so happy all is well with your little one! can I ask if your 6 weeks 3 days from conception or from the 1st day of your last period? X

ninemonthwait · 29/11/2019 17:46

@EnglishRain yay on your scan! The first heartbeat of the group 💕

Thank you everyone! Still scared it will all go wrong. But I got what I wanted today, which was to make sure this wasn't an ectopic pregnancy, nor a blighted ovum. I didn't have symptoms for either, but I've had two chemicals before and was about to be referred for IVF. This too is a clomid baby, so I also wanted to check it was only the one!

@hermionelodge will definitely find out. Planning to get the harmony test at 10w if I make it that far and that can tell sex then!

@Hollielouise I've never had mine done. I think 3+ on clear blue it's 2700+ and that tends to be 5 weeks + I think.

@LittleMrsMama I didn't hear it actually but I saw it. Still anxious but one layer of anxiety has been removed. I had external and they could see baby, but I had already said if they needed to do internal that's fine because of the fertility journey I am used to the dildo wand! It's fine honestly. Not very big, and it's basically got a condom on it and they put a splodge if gel on the end of it. Doesn't go in very far. I had a few mild cramps for a couple of hours after it but that's normal because they're poking around a bit. They don't press very hard though. I also had not drunk anything before my scan so that may help if you want it to only be external!

@JackGordonsMummy It's from the day I ovulated. I was doing OPKs so am reasonably confident when that was. As this was a clomid cycle I ovulated earlier than I usually would have, often I don't til CD17+ if at all, but this was CD13 I think.

EnglishRain · 29/11/2019 18:12

Oh and blob measures 5.3mm. I think even DH was quite impressed with that 🤣 growing 1mm a day from 6 weeks apparently. Find MN threads so hard to follow, no idea when everyone is due!

AliasGrape · 29/11/2019 18:21

Sorry to be thick but you know when they say you can do an early scan from 6 weeks ish (but better 7-8) is that according to your LMP the way the NHS does it? Or does it need to be 6+ weeks post ovulation/conception.

JackGordonsMummy · 29/11/2019 18:45

I had an early scan on the nhs last pregnancy due to bleeding I thought I was 8 weeks (date from my LMP) but I was only 6 because of when I actually conceived that's why I'm waiting to 8 weeks post LMP so I can see a heartbeat cos that would just freak me out. According to my app I ovulated on the 31st of oct x

JackGordonsMummy · 29/11/2019 18:48

Wow that's so good @EnglishRain I'm so happy for you! What's your due date? X

EnglishRain · 29/11/2019 19:00

@AliasGrape it's from LMP, but that's assuming it's a 28 day cycle and you ovulate halfway through. If you know when you ovulate I think you add two weeks on prior to that, or thereabouts. Probably best to expect to be a few days out either side.

@JackGordonsMummy thank you! I thought 21st but if I stay as I measured today, more like 23rd.

AliasGrape · 29/11/2019 19:56

Thanks @EnglishRain
I ovulated late around CD18 (still early for me mind, didn’t use to ovulate before day 25 pre-Clomid) so the cluster is only just about 3 weeks old.

I keep thinking today that something has changed and I don’t feel even remotely pregnant. God it’s dragging so slowly!

EnglishRain · 29/11/2019 19:59

I agree, time totally drags atm. I keep dreaming about weird things and when I wake up I forget how far along I am and think I'm further! When are you due @AliasGrape ?

AliasGrape · 29/11/2019 20:17

29th July according to NHS calculator @EnglishRain but I’m thinking probably a bit later because I ovulated a bit later (pretty certain as was using opk)

LittleMrsMama · 29/11/2019 21:42

@englishrain thanks so much for your advice and sharing your experience! I really hope something will show on the external scan. I'll make sure to drink lots of water beforehand! I'm so pleased for you that everything has worked out for you after your difficult journey. You're through the hardest bit now and I'm sure will be fine for the rest of the pregnancy.

I absolutely love this group! Not sure what I'd do without you ladies! ThanksStar

P.s. how come Mumsnet has a gin and bull emoji but no heart?! Outrageous Grin

Missdrifter · 01/12/2019 12:15

Great news about your scan @EnglishRain. How are you feeling in yourself? I have an early scan on Thursday but I still don’t feel very pregnant so feeling a bit anxious about it.

How is everyone else?

mywrencalls · 01/12/2019 12:30

Feeling rather yucky this morning... Not nauseaus as such, but got that feeling where I know I can only eat certain things. Right now it's something tomato-y.

My morning coffee is hanging on by a thread too, I'll probably not be able to stomach it at all in a few days! Sad

amysara24 · 01/12/2019 13:37

@mywrencalls funny you say that, I made DH stop at the coop (on our way home from Tesco!) because I had a really desperate need for tomato soup!
I used to be a 10 coffee a day person but now even the smell makes me feel queasy!
I just had a sharp pain in my side which wasn’t nice.. midwife on Friday though and I’m really looking forward to it, I think it’ll make it seem more real!
I used to work in next and was in yesterday picking up presents for mum - a friend has told me to come in before Christmas and put stuff aside that’ll be in the sale. So all being well with our first scan, I’ll be stocking up on clothes then! Haha

Missdrifter · 01/12/2019 14:33

@amysara24 and @mywrencalls that’s so funny because I said to my OH that I didn’t fancy the usual roast today so went and picked up tomato soup.. I can’t remember last time I ate it!

mywrencalls · 01/12/2019 14:51

DP has just come back with the tomato soup I seem to desperately need Smile ...It had to be Heinz tomato soup too, no other would do haha

LittleMrsMama · 01/12/2019 15:47

This is so weird, I've been eating tomato soup all week too!!
