@facevalue well said re: body changing and creating life! What an incredible thing to do, so what if we don’t look the same as we did before.... I’m 35, I don’t have my 18yr old body anymore either but wouldn’t change a thing!!

I know most people don’t mean harm, it’s usually people at work who make the comments and I know they’re just making conversation and getting excited about things. Just hard when it’s constant. No excuse for the comment from a ‘friend’ saying they thought I had put weight on though.... will be avoiding them for a while I think!!

Hope everyone had a good week :)

woollycat · 18/11/2019 13:59

Just got my NHS combined screening results, a nice relief! We also did the Harmony test on Saturday, so waiting for those results to come through this week and we can relax until the next scan in January! Can't wait to find out gender with the Harmony results!

@Spuntik glad the flight was bearable but sorry you were emotional! I am flying Saturday to the US east coast, for a week. Taking a bunch of snacks on the plane is a good tip, thank you! Where did you fly to? Sounds like the food situation there is tricky!

RacBell · 18/11/2019 14:01

Hi all, just had my 12 week scan. Baby wasn’t behaving today and wouldn’t budge from curled up position and doing a head stand but otherwise all looks perfect. Given due date 29/5. Has anyone else been given this date? I’ve got a sneaky feelings it’s a girl but don’t want to convince myself too much 😩 I already have 2 boys ☺️

Hi everyone, I have my 16 week appointment this week. Do they listen to the heartbeat at this appointment? I haven’t felt the baby move yet (first pregnancy) due on 6th May.

Raindancer411 · 19/11/2019 03:18

My midwife told me that at the 16 week one she will be listening to the heart beat. I will be 17 weeks by the time I see her though.

Lu1u · 19/11/2019 06:08

@Hayley220 I had my 16 week appointment last Friday (due 4th May) and she had no issues finding the heart beat ☺️

Moonstone12 · 19/11/2019 07:39

@Hayley220 some trusts listen for the heartbeat at 16 weeks and some don't. Because the heartbeat isn't always easy to find this early on some don't even try so the mum to be doesn't stress out.

I had my 16 week appointment last Friday and they listened in but I know a few people on the May fb group where the midwife didn't listen in xx

Graciesmummy · 19/11/2019 07:40

Would anyone be able to take a guess using nub theory at the gender on my 12 + 3 scan picture

Sunshine8888 · 19/11/2019 08:43

@Hayley220 I had my 16 week app last Friday and she found the heartbeat immediately. It isn’t done in all areas though

Sunshine8888 · 19/11/2019 11:14

I have a spa day booked mid December. Does anyone know where I could get a one piece swimming costume from?! Never worn one but don’t fancy a bikini right now. Do I buy a maternity one or just go a size up?? Sorry for my complete ignorance 🙈

Smiffette · 19/11/2019 11:22

@Sunshine8888 I got one from Next I was 9weeks when I needed it and just bought 1 size up it still has a little room to grow.... probably wouldn't buy a maternity one until I had a proper bump.

Raindancer411 · 19/11/2019 11:33

I got one in my size in the maternity wear in Matalan but was a few years ago now lol

CharlieB93 · 19/11/2019 12:21

Does anyone keep getting random stomach aches? I’ve got one now it feels like a ‘pulse’ not overly painful but irritating. I got stomach ache this morning after going for a wee too (tmi)

Sunshine8888 · 19/11/2019 16:47

Thanks, I ended up going on jojo maman bebe on my lunch break and spent a fortune on all sorts of maternity stuff which I said I wouldn’t do!! 🙈
