Also ladies has anyone been tested for strep b infection?
When I had my first he had to be admited to the special baby unit due to his breathing and was given antibiotics but thankfully he was ok and we got to go home a few days later. Anyway I saw the consultant yesterday and told her that since my pregnancy I had been treated for the strep b infection. She said there could've have been a chance I had it in labour and that's why my son got poorly so in labour this time I automatically have to have the antibiotics! I'm really reassured and happy with this! Its worth mentioning it to your midwife if you haven't thought about it already!

@november90 I have had horrible headache from about 9 weeks too. I rarely had headaches before, so they are very noticeable now. I was told to use a hot or cold compress and lay in a dark room while taking deep breaths. I am actually up with one now and hoping it subsides soon or else my day will be spent on the sofa trying not to move.

Helensss · 16/11/2019 07:06

Anyone wondering where there bump is? It seemed to appear last week then go away again, hope everything’s ok, in 14+5 so I know it can take a while xx

Helensss · 16/11/2019 07:06

Helensss · 16/11/2019 07:14

@november90 haha I keep thinking about Christmas lunch I can’t wait for all the food! Going to make the most of it as I normally guzzle lots of red wine too 😂

woollycat · 16/11/2019 07:15

@Helensss yes! I am only 13+2 but my stomach is flatter than before (probably due to vomiting and weight loss). But honestly I am not dying to get a bump - I figure the longer I can feel normal the better :)

I wish I had cravings! I don't like food any more, I eat little and boring stuff to keep nausea at bay.

rosewater20 · 16/11/2019 08:01

I am 14 weeks exactly today and @Helensss my stomach comes and goes. On Thursday I had to change before going to work because my stomach clearly looked pregnant but then today I look completely normal. I think the stomach is mostly bloat and gas at this point.

123Pandy · 16/11/2019 08:18

@Helensss I'm 13+3 with my first baby and my bump has definitely arrived!! My Topshop jeans feel a little snug so will have to look into maternity jeans very soon.

november90 · 16/11/2019 08:20

@rosewater20 they're awful aren't they!!! I had a terrible one at about 6am which went after some paracetamol but is back already 😩😩😩

@Helenss hehe I had a Christmas lunch at a restaurant the other day and I literally cannot stop thinking about it! It was amazing!!!!! I also for some cranberry sausage rolls from morrinsons last week which were unreal! I could eat a Christmas dinner now 🙈

Sunshine8888 · 16/11/2019 08:23

My bump gets bigger as the day goes on. Midwife said it’ll start becoming more obvious from about 20 weeks so no need to worry at all about bump size atm. At my 16 week check up yday, she checked my uterus was in the right place, felt baby movement (I can’t feel it but she could) and checked heartbeat. At the next app at 25 weeks she will start measuring bump so we have a while ☺️

november90 · 16/11/2019 08:37

@123Pandy my old faithful Joni jeans days are numbered too 😩 I always seem to have to undo then by about 2:30 😩🙈😂

rosewater20 · 16/11/2019 08:45

I just realised I said I was 14 weeks. I am 13! I blame baby brain for messing up how far along I am!
@november90, they are awful. They made me concerned at first until I read that they were normal. So many pregnancy symptoms would be considered concerning outside of pregnancy. For the past two days, I have had a sharp pain on the inside of my right breast. It worried me out when I first noticed it before I remembered that I am pregnant, and my breast have been hurting off and on for three months now.

Sunshine8888 · 16/11/2019 09:00

@rosewater20 my boobs haven’t stopped hurting since I had a positive pregnancy test at 4 weeks! They are so painful, even just a gentle touch hurts!

Sunshine8888 · 16/11/2019 09:02

Also not sure if anyone else has experienced this yet but the shooting dagger like pains down there are something else! I mentioned it to the midwife and she said there are ligaments right down there - the pains are normal but unpleasant! I feel like the second trimester has bought a whole load of odd new symptoms 🙈

Helensss · 16/11/2019 09:16

@november90 haha oh I’ll have to go for one soon then! I might make one tomorrow, do Sunday right.
@sunshine888 yeah at the end of the day I look like I’ve got one but it’s just bloat I think mostly, 16 week appointment in 1.5 weeks so hopefully that’ll be good and reassure, my boobs are also super sore still!

@rosewater20 yeah my jeans just feel a bit snug but I have to undo the button as the day goes on x

Missmuck · 16/11/2019 10:33

@Sunshine8888 I've had no pains in my foof yet but I remember them with my other two oh god I've forgotten so much lol, I've been fancying a carvery along with my cravings for mash and gravy I want roast beef too had braised beef and mash Thursday and nearly cried it was so good. My 12ft pregnancy pillow came yesterday and that was so comfy it nearly made me cry feeling a bit of an emotional snowflake at the moment xxx

Spuntik · 16/11/2019 10:44

Hi all. I'm new here. 👋 14+4. Due 12 May. About to take off on a long haul flight (9 hrs) and really anxious about it. Anyone been on a long one like this, this early on?

Bumpingalong84 · 16/11/2019 10:54

Morning ladies. Growing by the day over here but definitely lost a lot of that really uncomfortable bloat. Only 13+3 but feel like I did at 16wks with DD.

I’ve had no real cravings really or aversions this time, with DD I had both, completely went off meat and craved citrus for about 10weeks.

Everyone who’s seen my scan pictures is convinced I’m having a boy 😂 it does feel very different to my first pregnancy so who knows. Excited to find out. Telling people has been lovely, makes it feel more real but also fills me with anxiety incase anything goes wrong.

Purple29 · 16/11/2019 15:07

I have sympathy for those suffering with headaches!!! This just wont go, been days now!!! I could cry 😭

Moongirl10 · 16/11/2019 15:15

Same with the headaches! Feels like a constant dull ache in my head and I’m always stuffed up in the mornings.

Purple29 · 16/11/2019 17:43

@moongirl10 yeah I'm the same, felt sick again the last few days too... not had that since week 9 and I'm now 13+4. Roll on the next few weeks!!

helpasisterout · 16/11/2019 21:13

Tucked up in bed since 8.30pm what a wild Saturday night!

After a full on 24hrs of telling family about pregnancy which has been lovely all my family are quite excited but calm and just leaving us to get on with things but PIL were very much excited (which is lovely) but just freaked me out a little as I'm really private and Independent and MIL started calling herself granny, asking when she could tell people and saying she thought there was a cot in her attic which maybe she will need when she is baby sitting!! I know it's all just genuine first grandchild excitement but I just like my own space so found it quite overwhelming I suppose! But my other half did stamp out any of that so all good!

Feeling very overwhelmed today and still quite sick but just glad to be in bed!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Sunshine8888 · 16/11/2019 22:17

I’m so excited! Tonight I felt the baby move for the first time! Little popping sensations in my belly and both my husband and I can feel it when we press on my belly ☺️ What a special moment

Bumpingalong84 · 16/11/2019 22:51

Ahhh @Sunshine8888 that’s soooo exciting! Are you 16wks now? With my first I didn’t feel her till around 16/17wks then DH not till 20wks. I’m really hoping it’s earlier this time.

Sunshine8888 · 16/11/2019 23:08

@Bumpingalong84 yes, I’m 16 weeks today 😊 I wasn’t expecting to feel anything this early as I thought my placenta was at the front so this is a really lovely surprise
