Congrats @Bumpingalong84! I also guess boy 💙

@Caspianberg, I’m due 2nd May too. I am feeling all of those things you’ve mentioned! Also not going to buy anything after the 20 week scan! I figure January sales is fine to start, by then our babies have a chance of survival if they were born early (although of course it’s much better they stay warm inside for as long as possible)!! X

Sunshine8888 · 13/11/2019 08:17

I many until after the 20 week scan sorry!

Sunshine8888 · 13/11/2019 08:18

Oh god I’m obviously still half asleep 💤 my typing is terrible today

May2311 · 13/11/2019 09:37

Congrats to those that have had scans the last few days- I love seeing scan pics!!

How has everyone been finding midwife services?

I rang them today for a bit of advice as been struggling with my back ( wanted to know if I could take anything stronger than paracetamol). The women I spoke to was ok and made some suggestions ( heat packs, baths etc) but I felt she was quite abrupt and then at the end of the call went "well anyways i doubt it is pregnancy related anyways with you only being 14 weeks"

Totally get where she is coming from as I was surprised I have had problems so early but actually i am almost sure it is pregnancy related considering I have never had back problems before and it has only started since becoming pregnant 😏 ( I didn't say this to her I just thought it!) she also didn't answer my question about anything stronger haha.

Perhaps Im just feeling sensitive this morning!! I'll continue with paracetamol and will speak to GP if not better next week I think! Xxxx

Had my scan.. wow what a surreal experience everything looking good and bloods taken for screening and dates moved forward a bit so 13 weeks with due date 20/5/2020.. off for a nice day out with DP now ♥️♥️

Bumpingalong84 · 13/11/2019 11:30

Aww congratulations @helpasisterout it’s amazing isn’t it. We are due the same day 😊

Linzapip · 13/11/2019 11:40

Hi everyone, just reporting that we had a lovely scan yesterday but a very shocking one. We actually have TWINS 😯 a date measuring at 14 weeks which makes us due 12th may at 40 weeks but twins come at least 37 or earlier, so they will probably be April babies

Lu1u · 13/11/2019 12:08

Wow @linzapip congratulations!! That must of been quite shock. Will they be your firsts or do you already have DC's?

Linzapip · 13/11/2019 12:25

@Lu1u thank you, i have 2 girls 9 and 7 and they are very excited. I am very excited and nervous.

helpasisterout · 13/11/2019 14:21

@linziapip congratulations that's so exciting but would have been quite a shock! X

sazzlerazzle · 13/11/2019 15:10

@Linzapip oh wow!! That must have been quite a shock but what a wonderful surprise ❤️

Emmacb82 · 13/11/2019 15:34

Had my 12 week scan today, appointment was at 11:15 but didn’t get scanned till half 1! Am so tired after staying awake after night shift. But happy and relieved to report baby is happy and healthy 🥰 edd 23/5/20

Raindancer411 · 13/11/2019 15:58

Had my scan today and been pushed forward two days. The scan photos we had to pay for were so disappointing 😭 Really all blurry and just a shape really

Clairesoph · 13/11/2019 17:17

@Emmacb82 eeek congrats! We are due date buddies 🥰

Sunshine8888 · 13/11/2019 18:18

Wow congrats everyone on happy scans and @Linzapip on your twins!! How exciting 😊

Bumpingalong84 · 13/11/2019 18:29

Ohh @Raindancer411 that’s so disappointing. How far along are you? I wonder if they use different machines at different trusts. I compared this scan picture with my one for DD 4.5 years ago and the difference is amazing! I’m sure they must have invested in a new machine or something.

Raindancer411 · 13/11/2019 18:33

I think the machine at the other place was more expensive and updated but oh well... they have put me at 13+1, so 3 days ahead of where I thought I was

Alh0510 · 13/11/2019 18:55

@Missmuck thank you I am glad to hear they have been very supportive 😁

Emmacb82 · 13/11/2019 19:06

@Clairesoph Aw hey due date buddy 😍 feels so nice to finally have that reassurance! We were told it was 60% chance of a boy which she volunteered herself all based on the nub theory 🤣 so think I will take that with a pinch of salt and wait for the next scan!

Has anyone here used a snuzpod with their other children and are they worth the money? We hardly need to buy anything, thanks to being one of the last of our friends/family to have a baby so we’ve been given lots of things - but this is one thing I really want to buy as a treat.

@helpasisterout @Bumpingalong84 - I'm
Also due on the 20th 😊

rosewater20 · 13/11/2019 21:40

@Linzapip Congratulations! Very exciting.

I am getting so jealous of everyone's 12-week scan! I can't wait for my scan next Friday (at which point I will be almost 15 weeks). I have been keeping myself positive and forward-thinking by making lists of baby things I will buy once we get past the 20-week mark. I have enjoyed looking at prams and imaging my little boy using them. I think it would be fun if we all shared what we are buying/planning to buy for our little ones. DP and decided to splash out a little for the main things because this is our first (and we are overexcited) and hoping that pram, bassinet and cot will last for all of our children.

I think we will get the Snoo bassinet. DP is from America and a lot of his friends there use and love it. We are looking at the Uppababy Vista pram and the Baby Bjorn bouncy seat. I am a bit overwhelmed by the baby car seat options. I like the Nuna PIPA Lite lx, but it seems like the Cybex Aton Q might be safer? But I don't think I could carry a heavy car seat with a heavy baby. I know I have so much time to think about these things, but I am a planner, and I really enjoy thinking ahead.

Sunshine8888 · 13/11/2019 21:40

@sazzlerazzle those snuzpods look so cute and love the little bundles you can buy ☺️

sazzlerazzle · 13/11/2019 21:50

@Sunshine8888 they’re cute aren’t they 😊 they seem to get good reviews but I don’t know anyone who has had one before. Not the cheapest but as I mentioned, just wanted one treat thing that wasn’t gifted to us :)

@rosewater20 I hadn’t heard of Snoo before, just had a look and it’s lovely!! Way out of my price range unfortunately. But if you plan on having more children I’m sure you will get great use out of it, it looks good quality.
