Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

I also have the insane thirst, I must be drinking at least 2 litres of water each day.
I'm on annual leave this week, I'm so exhausted. Dreading going back to work on Friday. I work in a nursery and don't have the energy for 20 children under 3years Shock

Squisha82 · 04/11/2019 13:53

I'm with you all on the thirst and I can't find anything that quenches it - I've tried, juice, herbal tea, sparkling water, flat water, lemon water..... Even gone to the depths of decaf coffee which was a terrible experience. If anyone has found anything that works please let me know

rosea19 · 04/11/2019 14:28

Just wondering if anyone has tried the anti sickness wristbands and if they work? I'm 7 weeks pregnant and really struggling with the nausea. It's like constant sea sickness with a hangover!

1sttimemamasel · 04/11/2019 14:42

I’m also really thirsty and dry mouth! I found apple juice/apple squash helps. Midwife has just phoned me and got my booking appointment on 18th November 2019 yay.

EVenner · 04/11/2019 15:28

@SammyPage yeah, it’s another level isn’t it!? Mad to think this might still last for weeks and weeks. At work today, luckily it’s been a really quite day. Can just about manage 10 min of work and then I have to rest, but that’s OK where I am luckily. Not been actually sick today thank god. But feel dog awful, not managing to eat much. Not cooked for a couple of weeks, going into the kitchen is just a bit too much. Just wish I could find joy eating SOMETHING. Started asking my DH for thin stuff, thin toast and thin biscuits. We just try our best don’t we haha!

showmewhatyougot · 04/11/2019 15:36

@SammyPage no this is my second, but I didn't know I was pregnant with him till quite late on, so had no symptoms. This is already very different.

That's nice to hear @marmitecheesetoast thank you! I really needed to hear that x

I'm also really thirsty, which isn't helping with the constant needing to pee!

showmewhatyougot · 04/11/2019 15:38

Oh @SammyPage I'm so happy for you! Must have felt like forever! Like others have said, it's the best reason to feel rubbish x

Vio112 · 04/11/2019 16:05

Hi 👋 thanks for this group, I was feeling left behind on the other one too! I'm due around 29th I think. This is my first pregnancy so don't know what to expect. Starting to get really nauseus now, I'm in my 6th week.

showmewhatyougot · 04/11/2019 16:18

Hello @Vio112

No I haven't booked my flu jab yet, I was wondering the other day if it was to early, so will ring the surgery tomorrow and see what they say x

Vio112 · 04/11/2019 16:40

@showmewhatyougot I think probably the earlier the better! I had my flu jab before I even found out I was pregnant. I try to get the jab done before any nasty flus start to surface. Top tip: get it done at your local pharmacy! Saves having to faff about with making appointments etc. X

1sttimemamasel · 04/11/2019 17:27

Re. The flu jab, I asked my gp about this today as I’m booked in to have it Saturday morning (usually have it cus I have asthma) and she said you can have it at any time of your pregnancy x

BabyBird20 · 04/11/2019 19:47

@1sttimemamasel your midwife is the same day as mine! When are you due again? I thought June 20th but according to my early scan they changed it to June 17th!

1sttimemamasel · 04/11/2019 21:18

@BabyBird20 Yay! I’m having an early scan on 17th, according to all the apps and due date calculators I’m due 1st July and currently 5+5 (apps say i’m In week 6) Hopefully I’ll be able to get a more accurate date lol xx

marmitecheesetoast · 05/11/2019 09:04

Yes @1sttimemamasel I can’t get enough of apple juice all of a sudden!! (That and cheese! )

emzyemz85 · 05/11/2019 10:39

Hey!

I'm 4 weeks plus 2 days!!! My due date is 12th July which I know is a little out of this thread but there are no others!

I have worked out my due date via my old app Ovia fertility. I have some bloods being taken today to check they are doubling in HCG levels since Sunday!! as I have had a pervious ectopic resulting in tube removal.

I'm am very anxious and just currently off work resting!

Hopefully will know more later but would love to hear from others that are pregnant too!
Xxx

Squisha82 · 05/11/2019 17:52

Is anyone else just exhausted this week? I've never known anything like it. Motivation to get up has just left me and I'm normally a happy gym goer.... I'm worried the pounds are going to pile on as I'm just eating anything and everything

TheFoz · 05/11/2019 18:39

@Squisha82, not a bit tired at all. It’s not that I’m full of energy but I feel completely rested every day but I’m not actually getting a great sleep! I could be lying awake for ages at night and then waking quite early!

I went to Mothercare today and bought a few bits, not that I need them yet, I just want to be prepared. I got a lovely pair of yoga pants that are soooo comfortable, I’m actually going to get a few pairs. A nice heavy black top that will work for breastfeeding and a vest that has the little clips for breastfeeding, it’ll be good in the summer with a wee cardigan.

BabyBird20 · 05/11/2019 19:50

@Squisha82 I am exhausted! Permanently!! Have no motivation to do anything other than eat so I don't feel sick. I'm a slimming world member and have gained 4lbs this week!! 😱😱😱

Squisha82 · 05/11/2019 20:08

@BabyBird20 it's awful isn't it. I'm refusing to weigh myself! Hopefully this is just the first 12 weeks and the rest will be more normal 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Blizy · 05/11/2019 21:48

Is anyone having sharp pains low down in the tummy? I have stabbing sharp pains in my right hand side, not all of the time maybe every couple of days.

EVenner · 05/11/2019 22:43

Just discovered last few days that eating after 6pm works, basically have very little before then and then just a small dinner. I think that goes against advice and I’m definitely loosing weight at the moment but at least sickness is at bay. Anyone else finding that?

Glomum77 · 05/11/2019 22:47

@Jmc74 I turned 42 yesterday. Currently 5+3 with my third baby. How about you? How are you coping? Managing to keep the anxiety under control?

newmum2020 · 05/11/2019 23:28

Hi everyone! I'm writing this as I can't sleep so I've just been getting up to speed with this thread!

I am 39 and this is my first baby 😊only known for just over a week and it's slowly sinking in! I am around 6 weeks and have first midwife appointment next Tuesday. So far I've only experienced really sore boobs and sheer exhaustion but no nausea. I'm also having headaches and scared to take anything.

Reassuring to know we are all in this together with the same thoughts/concerns

Look forward to following this group 🥰

Cornishbumpkin · 06/11/2019 11:56

Welcome @newmum2020 and congratulations on your pregnancy. Lucky you with the no nausea, you've probably seen a few of us are suffering. You can take paracetamol for your headaches and make sure you getting plenty of rest and fluids.
