Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

@Squisha82 😂😂 it's so small it's currently still basically the bean shape on the right with a heart beat! The blob on the right is the yolk sac that it's currently eating from until the umbilical cord grows and takes over!

Squisha82 · 01/11/2019 16:45

Thanks @BabyBird20 I was slightly concerned there were two blobs on there! I'm having one is a few weeks so that's really helpful. It so real now!!

BabyBird20 · 01/11/2019 16:56

@Squisha82 I was to start with, but she was really lovely and explained it all on screen as we went. Was amazing to see the little heart beating!! I have a video of it too 😍 It really does feel real, keep crying today!! Wasn't really letting myself believe it before!!

MRSRCH · 01/11/2019 17:06

Anyone else ridiculously bloated? I'm actually getting pains where I think I need to go to the toilet but nothings happening, I know I'm not constipated as been going quite regularly

Squisha82 · 01/11/2019 18:07

@BabyBird20 how amazing! Can't wait for this 🥰

Magpiefeather · 01/11/2019 18:48

@MRSRCH yes very bloated and have had lots of very painful pains. I’ve been quite relaxed so far but last night I was up at 3am doubled over in agony and googling ectopic pregnancy symptoms . It was trapped wind Blush

MRSRCH · 01/11/2019 23:23

@Magpiefeather exactly the same! My DH ran upstairs panicking cos I was groaning in pain to then be greeted by a not very lady like sound Grin he then just commented by saying 'feel better for that?!' hahaha

SammyPage · 02/11/2019 06:20

I will be ten weeks by the time i see my midwife is that normal? It's my first pregnancy so I just waited for my letter it came yesterday for 15 Nov and that will make me exactly ten weeks.... I am starting to show at 8 weeks I really need some one to talk to as me and my partner are trying to keep it a secret till Christmas for a surprise for our family but I don't think we are going to be able to I'm glowing and gagging at the same time my noobs have gone from a tiny little just about B cup to massive melons that are so tender to touch they feel bruised help should I call them Monday and query?

SammyPage · 02/11/2019 06:27

@BabyBird20 oh gosh I have just seen your scan. I'm going to book mine and see if I can get one for asap I need reassurance and dates for sure as I just typed about my midwife letter it came yesterday for 15th and I'm sure I will be 10 weeks on that day and feel that's late to see anyone for the first time but don't know as it's my first and can't drop hints to my family or friends as they will know straight away. X

Glomum77 · 02/11/2019 06:39

Hi @Sammypage,

10 weeks sounds about right for your first appointment. As long as you have your booking and scan in a timely manner that's the main thing. Initially the Midwife appointments are very spaced out so theres that too. If you see them too soon the wait for your next appointment can feel like forever. If you have specific questions can you direct them to your Gp?
The first few weeks really do feel like forever. Finding out at 4 weeks makes me feel like it's an elephant pregnancy.

showmewhatyougot · 02/11/2019 06:50

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining in this late :)

TTC #2 DS will be 5 when baby arrives
Cycle 1 Blush
Bfp at 12 dpo
Due 5th July
Doctor confirmed Thursday, awaiting midwife app

Symptoms, period style back cramps & sore breasts & general nausea already!

BabyBird20 · 02/11/2019 09:32

@SammyPage I'm so glad I did it!! There are lots of places that do them privately, depending where you are based there might be some in groupon too. Mine was with Window to the Womb who seem to be a franchise! I'm a first timer too and was driving myself crazy with worry, so completely worth the money!! I also have a little video of the heart beating 😍

With my new dates it looks like my midwife appt will be at 10weeks too! So long to wait!!

SammyPage · 02/11/2019 10:07

@Glomum77 we found out Monday I called my doctors to be told you don't call muscle pregnancy and given a number I was like oh my happiness turned to complete tears as I'm all over the place. I got my letter yesterday but a two week wait just to get the ball rolling and then wait more I'm just feeling I want it all done yesterday. We have been trying for over a year and I just want this baby too much my anxiety is crazy. I feel reassured a bit now as the threads I'm reading I feel a little left behind in the journey but happy this first trimester is nearly over I didn't think I would be this bad with every twinge thinking what's going on in there!!! It's madness especially when we are trying g to keep it from our family and friends

Glomum77 · 02/11/2019 10:35

@sammypage I totally understand wanting to get the ball rolling. It's so frustrating isn't it, it's just I work on the other side and have insight into how it all works. If you find you are very anxious maybe discuss with the Gp the possibility of and early pregnancy scan for reassurance. I personally am going to get private scans at 7 weeks and private genetic testing at 10 weeks because I want it all done before Christmas and New year so I can hopefully relax. I will probably end up having my midwife appointments much later.
You just make sure at this stage you do what's within your control ie eating well, staying hydrated, folic acid etc and hopefully all should be well x

haisleya · 03/11/2019 11:28

Hi @SammyPage, I'm very much the same as you, although seeing the GP on the 18th as I have a history of Folate Deficiency, I will be 7 weeks then so unlikely to see the midwife until 10 weeks at least. We are also trying to keep it from family until Xmas, but I'm only 5 weeks and my boobs are massive and painful and I feel hugely bloated. I hope it will be worth it in the end and their reaction will be priceless!

BabyBird20 · 03/11/2019 12:40

Is anyone else struggling to sleep at night? I'm always exhausted and go to bed early, then wake up regularly and cant get back to sleep!! Dreading work as always just so tired!! 😬😬

EVenner · 03/11/2019 12:40

Oh I feel so rotten! I’ve pretty much been in bed for the last three days bar a couple of walks around the neighbourhood with pup. I’ve completely gone off all types of food and nausea has turned into actually being sick the last two days. Extremely tired and have a horrid taste in my mouth that seems to return every time I eat something. Even brushing my teeth makes me gag.

Squisha82 · 03/11/2019 13:07

I'm the same re: tiredness, just feel exhausted. I have to give myself a pep talk to actually get out of bed and when I do I feel like a zombie. I hope this goes after the first trimester

EVenner · 03/11/2019 13:08

@BabyBird20 yeah, definitely always really tired and totally not up for work. Been quite slack when in but hey ho...

haisleya · 03/11/2019 13:24

Ditto. So tired all the time. Start a work course tomorrow and worried I'm going to fall asleep through it 😴

MooChops89 · 03/11/2019 13:44

5+3 here today, nausea kicked in yesterday and I was sick, it was my mum's birthday party last night and I felt like crap! Managed to get away with lemonade only and just pretended there was vodka in it Grin
Haven't made a MW appt yet, we have a number to call for booking so will probs do it tomorrow. I'm a midwife myself so I know the drill!
Have a lovely week off this week, dreading going back to work if this nausea doesn't settle down.
Hope everyone is ticking along nicely!

BabyBird20 · 03/11/2019 14:09

@EVenner @Squisha82 I read a meme that summed it up quite nicely, something along the lines of 'pregnancy is the happiest reason ever to feel like cr@p'!

I am a teacher so have been on half term this week, not quite sure how I'm going to drag myself though each day at school feigning enthusiasm for 30 x 7year olds when I go back tomo!! 😬😬

Cornishbumpkin · 03/11/2019 14:25

Hello lovely ladies thanks for setting up the group, bit confused for due date, pregnancy app says 23/6/20 but calculated with my cycle length another says 26/6/20. Anyway it's my first pregnancy, TTC Cycle 4 and having the most horrendous nausea and vomiting that lasts all day 😩

Magpiefeather · 03/11/2019 15:44

@SammyPage completely understand you feeling anxious and wanting to get the ball rolling. Please don’t think I am dismissing your anxieties, they are completely valid and very real I know. But, gently, getting the ball rolling earlier wouldn’t help to be honest. there is just no way for a midwife or doctor or other medical professional to properly KNOW that everything is ok, especially at this early stage. All in due time. Waiting is so hard. Hang in there!

Magpiefeather · 03/11/2019 15:46

Also I remember counting down to booking in appointment when I was having DD, it is good to meet a midwife etc but that appointment was just a big form filling one if I remember rightly! A pp who was asking whether DP/DH should get day off for that appointment, I’d say definitely not needed. But ask him his immediate family medical history as they will ask.
