Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

@BabyBird20 I've got a bag full of ritz crackers for emergencies! Nothing seems to stop it totally though. I'm hanging onto that fact it's not full blown sickness 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Blossomingflower94 · 27/10/2019 18:57

Back to work for me tomorrow. Dreading it as I've got to be in by 8 and the vomiting didn't stop till 10 the day before yesterday.

Everything crossed that tomorrow is like today and I'm not actually sick.

Hope everyone else has a nausea/sickness free night!

BabyBird20 · 27/10/2019 19:01

Ooh ritz crackers sound good! Might have to try those. I'm a teacher so thankfully on half term this week just as the nausea seems to be ramping up! Dread to think what I'll be like when I go back though, fingers crossed I'll keep avoiding the actual sickness! 🤞🤞🤞

If anyone is struggling with their first trimester this is a great article to prove that you're not alone.

Were all in this together 💜

Squisha82 · 27/10/2019 19:32

That article is great, thanks for posting

NotMaryWhitehouse · 27/10/2019 20:40

@Blossomingflower94 that's how I feel!

Honestly, I just cannot stop worrying, which in itself is complete exhausting!

EVenner · 27/10/2019 20:44

Oh yeah! Ritz crackers have been great! Looking up some alternative treatments right now, might give acupuncture a go? Has anyone tried any thing like that, or even massages or anything like that for the nausea? Hope everyone has a good sleep! Guessing I’m not the only one tucking down early 🤓😴

NotMaryWhitehouse · 27/10/2019 20:47

@EVenner I had acupuncture earlier this year and I LOVED my acupuncturist! She is a specialist in fertility and pregnancy and her voice is just so soothing.

She doesn't know I'm pregnant (yet), as I stopped seeing her at the end of the summer, but I will definitely use her as things progress, all being well.

BabyBird20 · 27/10/2019 21:07

Does anyone know if there are any antacid type meds we're allowed when pregnant? I have the worst heartburn and downing milk but too scared to take any other medication!

Blizy · 27/10/2019 21:19

BabyBird20 I'm pretty sure gaviscon is ok, I was drinking it from the bottle in last pregnancy!

BabyBird20 · 27/10/2019 21:26

@Blizy Fab thanks Blizy, think I'll have to get some tomorrow!! The only thing helping the queasy feeling is crackers but they give me more heartburn! Can't win!!

Blossomingflower94 · 28/10/2019 05:11

Another day of 2 am waking with nausea. I feel so bad for DP because I wake up, eat something then I have to go for a wee, then I fidget because I feel sick.

Tempted to sleep in the spare room tonight so he gets a decent night sleep.

mrssunshinexxx · 28/10/2019 07:20

@Blossomingflower94 the nausea has started for me about 2 days ago ... GRIM
CAnt decide whether I would just rather actually be sick?!

Blossomingflower94 · 28/10/2019 07:43

I feel better for about 20 minutes after I'm sick then the nausea comes back again 😔 back to work today and currently sat in the carpark trying to pluck up the courage to go inside.

Blossomingflower94 · 28/10/2019 07:43

@mrssunshinexxx have you found anything that helps yet? Chewing gum is currently doing something for me.

EVenner · 28/10/2019 07:47

@mrssunshinexxx
I hear you!! Hope you guys are ok today! I’m not too bad this morning 🙏🏼

@Blossomingflower94
Do you sleep OK in spare room? If so it’s probably ok to move over. Don’t know about you but I find I sleep better in my normal bed, this period is about you and your body so just make sure you get what you need ❤️❤️

mrssunshinexxx · 28/10/2019 08:03

@Blossomingflower94 @EVenner
I try and make myself eat I find it if don't eat it does go away but then by time I eat lunch it's even worse

BabyBird20 · 28/10/2019 08:37

@Blossomingflower94 wishing you lots of luck today! Hope it's ok. I was told sucking mints helps a lot so might try that too, I tried chewing gum yesterday and it made me gag!

@EVenner hope you're not too bad this morning!?

I go to sleep stupidly early and am currently waking up every couple of hours for a wee so never quite ready for the morning!

BabyBird20 · 28/10/2019 08:38

@mrssunshinexxx I was feeling the same yesterday, would I feel better if I were actually sick! But then I hate being sick so not sure which is worse!! 😬😬

Von84 · 28/10/2019 08:53

@BabyBird20 sorry you're having bad heartburn.. when I was pregnant with my daughter the heartburn was so bad I'd feel it in my ears and my face Confused In the end the Dr prescribed Omeprazole as Gaviscon wasn't working and that really helped

BabyBird20 · 28/10/2019 08:56

@Von84 thank you, it's really putting me off eating! I have problems with my stomach at the best of times with ibd so think pregnancy might cause some interesting extra issues! Will def go to docs if it continues! Though currently still haven't seen or even heard from the doc or a midwife about being pregnant!!

marmitecheesetoast · 28/10/2019 10:08

Sorry to hear those that are struggling with the nausea, it’s so grim! I’ve only had it mildly so far, didn’t kick in badly for me til about 8 weeks last time so kind of feel like I’m in the calm before the storm right now!

Sucking strong mints really helped for me last time, plus regularly eating dry crackers (Carrs water biscuits for me!)

I’m currently struggling with the clock change with a toddler on minimal caffeine ... 4.45am start to the day today! Shock

4+6 today. Think I’ll look to book a private scan for around 8 weeks in the next few days of everything still seems to be going ok

Smiffette · 28/10/2019 13:05

I'm 7 weeks today! I gave in and booked a private scan, it will be a week on Sunday when I should be 8+6!
After a MMC back in April, waiting until 12 weeks just seems too long!
I'm keen to see if my dates are right as part of me thinks they maybe be put back a few days as I've read a lot of posts where that does happen... not that I mind too much! At the moment I'm due 15/16 June!

HL123 · 28/10/2019 13:57

My nausea has become so bad the last few days, I've not even been able to go to work today.
I've tried chewing gum, ginger biscuits, drinking Coke, nothing has helped - I actually made myself sick last night to see if the feeling would go but it didn't. The only time it goes is when I'm asleep so trying to sleep as much as possible.
Called the doctor this morning who said they only prescribe pills if you're physically sick at least 12 times a day!!!
Has anyone tried anything that's helped to take away the feeling of nausea?

MrsPoll · 28/10/2019 14:14

Hi everyone, reading your comments makes me feel a little relieved! I'm I a constant state of worry.

Due date: 27th June Baby: #1 TTC cycle: 1 Symptoms: it feels like in hung over with none of the fun the night before!

I think we are going for an 8 week scan as I'm currently 5+3. Anyone else testing most days or is that just me????

Xx
