which thread is the one with the rude people on? Let me at 'em! Nobody gives my friends a hard time!

lisad123 · 06/09/2007 21:06

Its this one about Jehovahs Witnesses:

ejt1764 · 06/09/2007 21:26

Well, now I see ... honestly, some people are so rude!

Would go and beat them all up, but you and alice have done a brilliant job between the two of you as it is!

UQD gets upset at anybody having a religious faith ... I tend to ignore him (much like I ignore Xenia!)

j20baby · 06/09/2007 22:08

hi all

mrsfish-thats great news

well, i've had bad news apparantly lo is now breech after 10 weeks of her being head down, and last week being 3/5 engaged.

saw nurse and gp today.

the nurse forgot my bp reading so just made it up, i think i've got a water infection thats why i'm getting stomach cramps and back ache so they've sent urine off to be tested, they haven't checked my fundal height for ages and noone seems to be doing anything about my iron levels atm.

my feet and hands are so swollen, and my carpal tunnel is preventing me from typing properly, feel so fed up, tired and uncomfortable atm i feel like crying all the time.

i didn't have another appointment for 2 wks, but rung the mw after being at the gp's and she said if lo is breech i need seeing in a week and she said she will make sure i'm checked properly.

sorry for the me me post, am feeling very selfish the last few days, although i know i'm nowhere near as uncomfy as those with spd. sorry

hopefully will perk up tommorrow and be able to reply to you all.sending love to you all

just read the other thread and felt i should say-i feel very proud of the way Lisa and Alice handled their points without getting nasty, well done you 2

OP posts:
MrsFish · 06/09/2007 22:32

J20 - try not to worry, my lo was apparently head down all along till last week when mw said he was breech, just a week later she reckons he is back to head down. I reckon she made a mistake last week as position doesn't feel any different to me, but who knows, I certainly don't. There is still time for lo to move again. The nurse sounds like she needs retraining glad you are seeing mw soon though. I don't see mw for another two weeks now when I will be 38+4.

j20baby · 06/09/2007 22:39

mrsfish-i'm 36+1 today, i wouldn't have been seeing anyone for 2 wks if i hadn't made a million calls to get hold of mw earlier.

i'm not really worried about her being breech, i think she moved just as he had a feel and then moved back, i just feel crap with everything else, also think i'm getting more and more terrified of the birth and actually having a real life baby afterwards when i'm going to be on my own.

well, i suppose i should go and be uncomfortable in my bed, night everyone

OP posts:
MrsFish · 06/09/2007 22:48

I understand your fears J20 - its terrifying at the best of times. You sound like a very well rounded woman though I am sure you will cope admirably once the lo arrives. I'm terrified of the birth too, trying to block it out still

Hope you have a good nights sleep. Must go myself soon

WinnieThePooh · 07/09/2007 05:44

Morning everyone

DAL - Hope all goes well for you today

J2O - Sorry to hear you had such a crappy MW appointmnent.

I have been up for about an hour as I woke up some time ago, boiling hot, tired to get back to sleep, but finally gave up at 4.40.
This little girl has decided to wake up as well and is being very active at the moment.

I have another scan at the hospital on Monday to check that my placenta has moved. I think it has, as my bump seems to have dropped a bit.

Sorry it is a me me me post, but I can't remember what everyone else has said. I hope all the aches and pains are easing and you are all sleeping a little better.

Not long now until we get to meet our LOs. I am 35 +5 now but feel she could arrive at any minute as it is really uncomfortable to walk at the moment. As I don't drive I have to walk everywhere, which is getting really difficult now. I just hope that this LO hold on for another 9 days at least, when I will be 37 weeks.

ave a good day everyone.

jersey · 07/09/2007 07:04

Morning. Thanks for the messages. Went in last night to be checked and they don't think it was my waters but not sure as nothing there when they checked. Blood pressure was up and protein in my water so thought they where going to keep me in as I have had pre elampsia before but they sent me home to see my midwife next week and keep a watch out for any similiar symptons. So will see what happens, now knackered from lack of sleep.

I join the feeling big and uncomfortable as lots of cramping. Also terrified of the birth. THought last time it wouldn't be as bad as an induction (DS1) but then DS2 got stuck and pain got so bad, that this time I am frighten. Going to ask for an epidural right from the start this time as I have ended up in theatre x2 now so might as well be prepared this time.

Good luck everyone

ChocolateHobnob · 07/09/2007 07:06

Hi everyone

Dal, good luck! Though I don't suppose you're reading this now...

Mrs Fish, good that lo is back in pole position again.

J20 - sounds like a bad time! I wouldn't worry about the breech, if I were you; it sounds like the baby could have moved since and anyway the GP could have got it wrong. Sorry about the urine infection, pains and carpal tunnel. And it must be really hard to anticipate a newborn on your own, but you won't be wholly on your own and you are the Superwoman of our thread remember! Lots of luck.

Winnie, hope lo does stay put for another 10 days or so!

Muppet, well done to Ollie! Bless him.

Alice, glad physio went well. Interesting to hear you're reconsidering vbac versus elective section. I'll be interested to know what you decide. No opinions from me since I've not done labour before!

Designerbaby, hello! Glad to hear you're nesting.

I'm 32+2 now and still, touch wood, fine apart from the annoying sleep deprivation. Got a new bed yesterday - we ordered it from M and S online and when they brought it, in boxes, they built it for me in exchange for a cuppa. They were very helpful, not sure if that's normal service or help-a-pregnant-woman service... It's really comfortable but still proper sleep is so difficult. Not complaining though because I am having it relatively easy!

EJT, Apricott, Buffy, LES, Floria, Lisa, hope you're all okay - hope I've not missed anyone out!

ChocolateHobnob · 07/09/2007 07:07

Hi Jersey

cross-posted... sorry you're having a tough time sweetie. Take care!

MrsFish · 07/09/2007 07:12

Morning all, another tired mum here  Didn't get to sleep till 1am ish last night because I was so hot, woke at 3ish for the loo and ds has been up and awake since 5.45 so no chance for going back to sleep. Made him play in his room till 6.45 but then gave up and came downstairs. He starts a new kindergarten this morning, but its only till 12pm, so by the time I get home from dropping him off I will have approx 2 hrs before having to go pick him up again. May try and have a nap during that time

At least he will have a sleep this afternoon after being awake so early this morning.

Winnie, hope your placenta has moved too. The manager at ds's nursery reckons my bump has dropped since last week, but the head is nowhere near engaging according to the mw. I reckon I will definitely go as far as my EDD if not further this lo is a real wriggler, and last night it seemed as if he had turned again.

Mrsf (36+5)

MrsFish · 07/09/2007 07:13

Gosh, we are all up early today I can't stop yawning though

how dense am i? i was just reading through this thread thinking it was saturday today and that yesterday was very quiet on here! DUR!!!!!

talking of being dense..........my builder asked me yesterday how long i had left and i told him "3 weeks" ( as in, get a f*cking move on with our extension cos i wanted it finished weeks ago!!!).....and then he asked.." so have you felt the baby kick yet then?"................DUR!!!!!!! i know he is a man and they are generally incredibly stupid, but he has 4 kids of his own!!!! how did he think i could get to 37 wks without feeling it kick???!!! IF ONLY!!!

hi kezza - i never got your cat, i have never bothered to pay for the subscription, so i wasn't just ignoring you!!! but my email is jfjones at hotmail dot com. we have the name leo as our boys name, but we have been told we are having a girl anyway so its a bit irrelevant! i will be the only naked lady in the postnatal ward................as i am so disorganised i havent actually got any pyjamas that fit me! keep meaning to buy some but haven't yet!!! lets hope i dont go into labour yet or everyone in PAH postnatal will get a bit of a shock!!!

lisad123 · 07/09/2007 09:41

Kittiwake · 07/09/2007 10:11

Morning everyone

Haven't posted for ages as have been insanely busy finishing things off at work but I am now officially on maternity leave thank god! Now I can concentrate on some serious and posting on mumsnet and maybe a bit of nesting

Sorry for everyone who is not sleeping and feeling crappy. Have skimmed through and looks like Dal will be the first of us to meet their little one today? unless I have missed something!

I am 34+4 today and at the risk of sounding really annoying feeling pretty good still. Have finished packing my hospital bag, well I say bag actually 3 bags does everyone else have this much stuff or is it just me?? one for labour, one for the babies stuff and one for if I have to go to the hospital instead of the MLU and stay in

Mumpbump · 07/09/2007 11:17

Morning all! I know it's not a nice thing to say, but I am pleased to hear that people are feeling as fed up as I am, iykwim. When someone starts the next thread, can we have something about insomnia in the title - we all seem to be suffering from it at the moment from my quick skim of the last few posts! Is anyone else worrying that they are simply not going to be in a fit state to go through labour?

I am feeling absolutely sh*te as the insomnia has really kicked in over the last week. Plus dh was away overnight last night and ds unsettled as a result. Think I got up with him 4/5 times. Plus I felt really unwell yesterday evening - nausea and hot flushes - and bubba wasn't noticeably moving so I was getting really paranoid that it was all going to go wrong at the last minute... Fortunately, we had movement this morning so feeling reassured and I managed to get some sleep on the train on the way in...

J2O - sorry to hear that you are feeling so rotten. Don't worry too much about the new baby. Dsd was 8 when ds was born and she mucked in so much - I'm sure you'll find your dd is the same! A baby is like a toy to them at that age and the age gap is big enough, I think, that jealousy isn't that much of an issue.

Dal - hope that your baby is safe and sound in your arms by the end of today...

Hello to everyone else. Too knackered to try to post to everyone, I'm afraid, and my brain seems to have gone on vacation which doesn't help.

muppetgirl · 07/09/2007 12:09

Hi all

GOOD LUCK DAL!!!

Still had awful nights sleep. Took Ollie to school and he was bouncing up and down asking 'why can't we go in?' (the doors don't open till 8:15!!) I forgot to mention he came home yesterday and fell straight asleep where he stayed for 2 hrs...
He woke up and still thought we were going to go swimming and got very upset -it was six oclock..

Cleared a little more of lo's room, just have to get dh to get rid of the kitchen table that is in the space for the cot
and have actually started Ollie's race track after taking off the old wooden train set. He's gunna love it as he loves his cars more than anything atm.

Dh is spending the last day of his hoilday clearing out his study as we are going to make it into a temporary kitchen next week ready for the kitchen to be re fitted some time around the 17th. -This seemed such a good idea months ago but now not so sure.

Am now just going to watch a bit of telly as feeling a little 'icky' I'm hoping it was the white spirit I cleaned the brushes with.

Speak later x

jersey · 07/09/2007 13:16

Hi lisa, it was 148/98 but did drop back down before I left. When they said I had protein as well I thought no not again! I can't be kept in for 2 weeks again, not with a 3 and 1 yr old to look after. I was 36 weeks last time when I got pre eclampsia.

Just very tired as not slept properly for ages, the heat and anemia, etc.. NO MORE BABIES AFTER THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MrsFish · 07/09/2007 13:23

First birth of the October thread.

Posted in the September thread...

j20baby · 07/09/2007 13:32

Afternoon all... tried to catch up with everything - Jersey - glad to hear it wasn't waters - we're doing so well here at holding 'em in, aren't we... one two three, everbody, legs crossed... oh, no, wait... I can't, I'm too fat

Hang on hang on... I've missed something ... is Dal about to pop!? blimey, good luck, lass..

Lisa and Alice - well done on t'other thread... I tired so hard not to wade in there, and just concentrate on work like a good girl, but ooooh... goodness got so riled I couldn't resist. Hope I managed to keep the tone acceptable though - you'd done so well with that... felt i had to support my beleaguered October gals over there...

Mump - so with you on the insomnia thing - see any of my posts to those who suggest it's in any way a good thing... It's just really not fun, is it?

Brilliant news! Congratulations to DAL and DH!

J20, sorry youre not feeling up to your usual energetic self. Hope the ABs work quickly. I find that I dont have to walk far before feeling knackered, hopefully you'll take the opportunity to rest a bit now.

Just a quick hi to everyone else, as so griped with the developments on the news just now, but will post properly later.

PS. Good posts on the JW thread Lisa, my Mum and brother are both JW's so I can identify with much of what you said.

Hope everyone has a good day, the weather isnt too bad here today, so I might brave a short walk - just to keep my joint moving.
