A shiny new thread for our May mum's.

A big thank you to @Shak19 for setting up the original thread, you started this group and we are all so grateful for that.

Here we go, month three in the pregnancy journey 👣

@GinUnicorn i am also loosing weight but it's not surprising cos we r off food. i wouldn't stress about it if u r still drinking fluid and eating bits .. of u r vomiting and lost weight them definitely need a check up and take antisickness x

ChampooPapi · 08/10/2019 09:35

Scan booked on the 22nd October, I'll be 12 and a half weeks (or so I think!)

Feeling a wee bit better today, I'm vertical so that's something.

It will pass, it will pass 🙏

@champooPapi that’s exciting, I’m itching for mine! I’m 9wk4 so may have a bit of time to wait still x

Shelbustotherescue · 08/10/2019 10:10

@ChampooPapi your scan is same day as mine ! Might see you there Grin

DigitalGhost · 08/10/2019 10:24

Thought I'd finally join after lurking for a while.
Due 3rd May got my scan booked for 24th October!
Super paranoid ATM though due to a MMC in April so just want these next two weeks to fly by and just get some reassurance at this scan. 12 weeks is such a long bloody time to wait!

CharlieB93 · 08/10/2019 10:33

My scan is booked for Halloween 😱 a sign of things to come 😂...

kstann · 08/10/2019 10:36

@woollycat I know exactly how you feel. I'm normally really active and also training to be a nutritional therapist, so I eat really well and know what I should be eating. But I literally haven't been able to stomach anything. I had a melt down to my OH last week and cried my eyes out 🙈 I said I'm obviously super grateful to be pregnant and wouldn't change it for the world. But I felt so poorly and so so sick & unable to keep anything down. I didn't know what to do with myself! I'm hoping I've turnt a corner now!x

Have your tried ice lollies or ice pops xx

kstann · 08/10/2019 10:38

@facevalue haha, I honestly admire you lot who already have kids. I don't know how you do it, I've been barely able to look after myself the past few weeks!
I fancy yogurt now 😂 how far are you?x

ChampooPapi · 08/10/2019 11:09

@Helensss we're only a week apart so yours should come through by this time next week

@Shelbustotherescue, amazing coincidence, I've never met anyone from mumsnet before!

After a week of feeling sick I feel a bit better today, only wretched once this morning but now I'm worried. Strange isn't it we want to be sick and worry when we aren't? Anyone else had / have this? Days where you feel horrendous others feel fine? I'm still massively bloated and boobs are killing and I'm so tired but the nausea seems less today

sazzlerazzle · 08/10/2019 11:39

Glad I’m not the only one craving bad food!! Feel so guilty, want my baby to be getting the best nutrients but all I can eat is carbs carbs carbs!! Not keen on salad and fruit at the moment but ok drinking fruit juices and smoothies so I’m getting some goodness at least.

Exciting to see people are getting their dating scan dates through. I’m 10+2 so I’m hoping my letter comes through in the next couple of days...

BelfastNonBlonde · 08/10/2019 11:44

Grateful not to have been struck down with sickness and nausea like a lot of you poor souls..

But I’m just so bloody dog tired! :(

ChampooPapi · 08/10/2019 12:02

@DigitalGhost welcome, the next few weeks are going to fly by, then it'll be Christmas preparations, then we will all be talking birth plans 🐣

Everyone take your vitamins and get some spatone liquid iron with apple juice added, it's the bomb

@kstann hahaha frozen yogurt was last pregnancy craving! i'm 8+3 and still not heard from the midwife about a booking appointment or a scan! i did the self referral over 3 weeks ago - repeated twice after- got the confirmation scream but still not heard anything back! i ties calling twice last friday but no answer! not sure what's going on🙄

i woke up so hungry- i'm hungry all the time but i want fatty food/ butter etc not interested in chocolates or crisps!

facevalue · 08/10/2019 12:13

@mrsf1204 i havnt had Days of feeling ok! it's all in waves in the same day - tired hungry then eat - results in nausea bloating feeling dreadful sleeping- then repeat - heartburn at night or when i'm lying down ( now figured yogurt makes that better) . i already had one morning nap..

i feel useless

👍🏼😰

Mystie · 08/10/2019 12:21

Hi everyone just wanted to post an update and thank you for all your kind messages of support.

This weekend was definitely one of the most difficult weekends of my life, I had no idea how much of a huge impact losing the hopes and dreams of a new life could have on me.

After a scan at the EPU yesterday we were told that I have had a MMC, sac was still firmly attached in my womb with no signs of shifting so I was offered tablets or a D&C to complete the miscarriage.

We decided the D&C was the best option and I was booked in first thing this morning. I'm currently lying in a lovely private room (which I'm not paying for!) and have had the most lovely nhs staff looking after me. The procedure was over before I knew it and I'm not currently in any pain.

I'm feeling really positive and we are counting today as day one of our new journey to meeting our special rainbow baby.

I hope no one minds me sharing my story, your advice and support has been such a comfort. Fingers crossed I'll be able to post another update in a few months time with a positive pregnancy test result x

ChampooPapi · 08/10/2019 12:36

@Mystie thank you so much for sharing that with us. That was a really corrageouas thing to do. It was incredibly brave of you to make the decision to have the D&C this morning, you have been through so much this past few weeks, months. This is day one and we will be here if you want to pop by, especially to celebrate your rainbow baby when that happens 🌈

Please do update us when you get your positive. I'll continue to think of you and send you lots of positive thoughts ❤️

Helensss · 08/10/2019 13:26

@Mystie so sorry to hear this. I am pleased you are being looked after and are feeling positive. I have been in the same boat as you before and am now expecting my rainbow (🤞🏻) so don’t lose hope!
You are one step closer to your baby, that’s how I used to think of it and it did help 💕 xx

GinUnicorn · 08/10/2019 13:40

@facevalue @ChampooPapi @Moonstone12 @CharlieB93 thank you. Clearly I’m feeling emotional today as the kind words have made me really well up. Drinking ginger and lemon and hopefully will manage something plain soon.
