Jesskir89 · 08/11/2019 19:06

@ELW85 @misspepper8 thanks ladies. Everything was perfect :) I feel so relieved more so than any other scan. Defo a boy and his foot was on his head lol looks like a bubble on the pic but that's his foot...

@Jesskir89 lovely scan pic!! 🥰

satsumasaturday · 08/11/2019 21:50

Lovely pic @Jesskir89 looks like you're going to have a gymnast on your hands!!

sadtoday21 · 09/11/2019 00:11

Congrats @Jesskir89 and lovely photo of your little boy! You must feel so relieved and hopefully can relax a bit now. How's it going on the movement front for you?

sadtoday21 · 09/11/2019 00:13

Wow, I've missed a lot! @MissPepper8 @ELW85 @MockingJay27 congrats as well to all of you and amazing photos!

Jesskir89 · 09/11/2019 07:01

@whiskersonkittenss @satsumasaturday @sadtoday21 thanks ladies and yes feel miles better now. How are you all getting on? Its been really quiet lately just 3 or 4 of us lol

Jesskir89 · 09/11/2019 07:02

@sadtoday21 still not much movement. I think I've felt him about 4 times. The sonigrapher said normal for an anterior placentor but should be feeling him around now. My midwife weren't too worried though. How about you?

ELW85 · 09/11/2019 09:42

Morning!

@sadtoday21 - thank you! I hope you’re doing well?

@Jesskir89 - congratulations! So pleased everything was well; that’s a lovely pic!
The sonographer said to me that the anterior placenta can definitely mean it takes longer to feel them initially, but once you properly start to feel him, you should always be able to, if that makes sense? It sounds like you’re not too far off now, and it’ll just be the placenta that’s cushioning it!
I don’t feel every movement, and they definitely change positions so nothing to worry about 😊

sadtoday21 · 09/11/2019 09:53

@Jesskir89 I'm feeling him move at least once every day now, but its still faint and irregular. I usually feel him at night before sleeping and sometimes he surprises me with a little "blurp" in the morning or afternoon, usually after a meal. DH can't feel it yet though and its a very muffled, light feeling, not strong at all yet. Guess the placenta really does muffle everything! I have a feeling that kick counting later is going to be a nightmare!

@ELW85 Thanks for asking after me! I'm 22+2 today and have a midwife appointment next week. Looking for some "chic" loungewear because I'm starting to feel too frumpy all the time in joggers around the house - and that will only get worse! Any suggestions?

Also, just starting to think about buying something for the baby - I haven't bought anything at all yet! I might wait until black friday sales for larger items like pram and cot. What are you ladies getting in terms of the pram and cot? There are so many options!

ELW85 · 09/11/2019 10:10

@sadtoday21 - you’re more than welcome! We just bought our nursery set from Kiddie Kingdom for £350 for a Tutti Bambini cot bed, mattress and changing drawers. DH wanted to wait till Black Friday but I think it’s a decent price, so I was happy to pay it.
We got an 8 piece Mamas and Papas Ocarro set on the Emmas Diary app for £799. It was £1800 in Mothercare and Mamas and Papas so again, we were happy with the price. I might be crying after Black Friday, though!

Hmm, lounge wear is a tough one, but you could always go for jersey bottoms and a similar vest top with a chunky cable cardigan over the top?
I basically get in from work, out of my suit/dress etc and then go to wearing a onesie, so I’m kind of basking in it, haha!
DH has just bought me an adorable nightie from Mothercare that says ‘Bump’s 1st Christmas’ so I’m loving that this morning 😊

Jesskir89 · 09/11/2019 11:41

Thank you @ELW85 and @sadtoday21 I might be feeling him more than I think but mistaking it for wind lol. @sadtoday21 we were given a changing table so bought a lovely grey set from studio half price last week for his bedroom. And I got the ram from online4baby I got a joi bundle for 550 really pleased

MissPepper8 · 10/11/2019 12:45

@sadtoday21 Thank you lovely, very excited, still doesn't feel real in a way? Boohoo and Instyle can be good for loingewear. Problem is some times they're not very soft, Jersey type material.

What about Next or matalan?

@Jesskir89 Ah lovely pic, baby boy 😊 ours during the scan kept putting hands in front of face. I'm going to have my hands full.. This baby is nuts, doesn't stop moving compared to DS who was quite chilled, but I think he must of been had an anterior placenta as I barely felt him.

Jesskir89 · 10/11/2019 13:24

@misspepper8 thank you and haha building characteristics already :)

MissPepper8 · 10/11/2019 21:24

@Jesskir89 I am worried lol.. My sisters little girl was like this, she's a little madam 😂

Jesskir89 · 10/11/2019 22:00

@misspepper8 don't worry if he or she is a little rebble they'll grow out of it lol at least you've got one chilled child x

whiskersonkittenss · 11/11/2019 12:10

Hi all. I've been so busy at work I usually read and run. Currently 23+5, I've been feeling him move every day since about 20 weeks. Really strong kicks and my boyfriend can feel them too. I am very lucky as this is my first pregnancy

I'm slowly getting my motivation back. Been invited to a reggae night this coming Saturday with my bfs work colleagues, should be fun and will be my first night out since being pregnant.
What should I drink though? I need some easy mock tail recipes so im not stuck on Orange juice all night 🤦🏻‍♀️

I saw my consultant last week and I'm probably going to have a c section due to my slipped discs. She said if I felt the same at my next appointment then she'd book me in. So that's a weight off

kelsnyp · 11/11/2019 19:49

Tried to post my scan pic but this is playing up baby boy due 21st March Smile

Jesskir89 · 11/11/2019 20:48

@whiskersonkittenss great news :) I've just started to feel him more too. See if they have alcohol free things there, you'll have a good night anyway. @kelsnyp my boy is due the same day :)

MiniJMac · 12/11/2019 13:29

Hi ladies.
Had my 20 week scan today, all is well and the lady was fantastic, spent 45 minutes with her talking us through everything. We stuck to our guns and didn't find out though now I'm staring at the pictures guessing going to drive myself mad haha! Heres one of the pictures :)
He/she is a right wriggler, hardly getting any sleep now as it boogies away.

atomcats · 12/11/2019 21:13

@MiniJMac I didn’t find out either and am doing similar with pictures / anything else that could possibly give a hint! Probably should have just found out haha

MissPepper8 · 13/11/2019 01:25

@atomcats and @MiniJMac Same 😂 I've even been looking at skull theory lol..

I can't tell now, I have a feeling boy but family think it's a girl. I even got DS scan pic out to compare 😂
