New thread ladies :)

Has to be the most active thread on MN!

Feel free to state how far you are/EDD in your first post here so we have a reminder of who is where :)

Happy 2nd trimester to everyone now I think!

I’m 13+6 and due March 26th ❤️

@DaniX91 ahhh it's so cringe looking back afterwards isn't it, even though you feel completely reasonable and justified at the time!

Jesskir89 · 30/10/2019 21:10

Can anyone offer me some advice please. For the last 2 days I've been getting pains but not like ligament pains. Yesterday they were on my left and today underneath. Any ideas?

MissPepper8 · 30/10/2019 22:31

@Jesskir89 What type of pain hun? Periody or pulling? Or just soreness?

I've had like nasty sharp jabbing pain come and go if it's like that? Like take your breath away jabs x

Jesskir89 · 30/10/2019 22:47

@misspepper8 definitely more like jabbing pains not cramping x

ELW85 · 31/10/2019 06:59

@Jesskir89 - I had really bad pains last night that woke me up because I moved in bed, and when I sneezed about a week ago. I think it’s to do with our muscles etc being relaxed so things can pull really easily.
Did it happen randomly or on movement?

Jesskir89 · 31/10/2019 10:23

@ELW85 it's been quite sparadic over the last couple of days. I've got a scan next Friday but hopefully it's like you said muscle etc

MockingJay27 · 31/10/2019 11:05

@Jesskir89 I have been having stabbing pains on the right side of my pelvis on and off, but my bump has really grown this last 2 weeks so I’m hoping its down to stretching / muscles. I have my 20 weeks scan tomorrow so hoping everything will be ok

ELW85 · 31/10/2019 11:58

@Jesskir89 - it’ll definitely be growing pains, but if you’re worried, call your midwife. She’ll either put your mind to rest or get you quickly checked 😊
My next scan is Wednesday- can’t wait!

Jesskir89 · 31/10/2019 14:51

Thanks for the replys ladies probably nothing to worry about. My midwife is on holiday til tomorrow but might ring if it continues. @mockingjay27 and @ELW85 good luck for your scans and please share pics I've got 8 days to wait I'll be 20 plus 6 by then

MockingJay27 · 31/10/2019 14:56

@Jesskir89 ThankYou! I will update everyone after scan. Fingers crossed all will go well.

Jesskir89 · 31/10/2019 16:39

@mockingjay27 I'm sure it will :)

ELW85 · 01/11/2019 09:07

@Jesskir89- I’ll definitely post a pic, and hopefully the next week flies over for you!

Jesskir89 · 01/11/2019 10:33

@ELW85 thanks you too :) @mockingjay27 good luck for your scan today x

Sainsburys are having one of their double event for nectar points which apparently includes clothing and toys (which from the website seems to list baby stuff too!). The vouchers have to be spent in store so I guess it depends on what’s physically available in the shops rather than online. Their clothing also has maternity, although I’ve not seen that in my local sainsburys so night just be online only 🤷‍♀️

maria94 · 01/11/2019 19:08

Anyone else get a pulling/stitch feeling down their right hand side and into their back? It's getting really painful! I'm hoping it's just growing pains, I'm almost 23 weeks. X

satsumasaturday · 01/11/2019 21:31

I've been getting a stitch type pain on my right side at hip level - the first couple of times it was if I stretched but now it comes if I'm walking for a while. I've put it down to growing/pulling muscles

ELW85 · 02/11/2019 08:11

@maria94 @satsumasaturday - it’ll be ligament/growing pains.
When the uterus moves up out of the pelvic cavity, it goes slightly to the right so it puts a bit more pressure on that side and as you grow, it’ll increase a bit.
I’ve been reading up about it lately, but if you get other symptoms definitely call the midwife!

emmaclare83 · 02/11/2019 13:21

Haven't posted in a while but wanted to share my 20 week scan pic. Didn't find out the sex due to a quite dramatic series of events...student midwife thought there was a growth on baby's brain, so had 2 second opinions, one from the fetal medicine consultant. They seemed to think it was a normal variant in the end but have never felt such panic. Was also told my placenta is low, plus baby wouldn't cooperate to get adequate spine measurements so back we go on the 19th! Trying to stay calm and tell myself at least I get to see my baby again soon Smile

Anyone else have a low placenta?? Have been banned by DP from Googling as no good has come from it throughout my pregnancy thus far!

MunchyMunchkin · 02/11/2019 16:19

@emmaclare83 sorry your scan was so dramatic.
At least 90% of placentas will move so don’t worry about it. Plus you get an extra scan at 32 weeks so that’s nice.

MockingJay27 · 03/11/2019 17:14

@Jesskir89 ThankYou.
All was well at my 20 weeks scan yesterday? Baby has grown so much, it was amazing seeing everything in such detail.
We also had it confirmed that we're having a baby girl :) x

Jesskir89 · 03/11/2019 17:51

@mockingjay27 congratulations that's brilliant :) not many girls on here lol. upload a pic when you get chance x

DerbyshireGirly · 03/11/2019 18:59

@MockingJay27 how lovely, the 20 week is great for seeing them in more detail! I feel like I can almost imagine what my baby looks like after my 20 week scan. Plus they're moving a lot more Smile glad all is well x

DerbyshireGirly · 03/11/2019 19:03

And here's my 20 week scan photo from last Thursday! Everything completely unremarkable and average just as we all hope for Smile was lovely to see baby wriggling round and moving their mouth and fingers. I'm so obsessed with the photo, can't stop looking at it!

@emmaclare83 Lovely scan picture. What a drama you had. The lovely thing is as you say is that you get to see the little one again soon :)
I was told at my 12 week scan the placenta was low. 20 week scan on the 12th November so hoping its moved up as I don't want to go to Dr.Google. Hope your next scan goes well.

I still get these horrid pulling pains when I sneeze or get up too quickly.

emmaclare83 · 03/11/2019 21:22

@MiniJMac Thanks! I've had a couple of dodgy sneezes as well Grin Hope your 20 week scan goes well and you resist Dr Google
