@Paigeo I found out at a private gender scan last week. Mines also on 8th :) I'm almost 21 weeks then too lol

georgia19ox · 28/10/2019 11:56

@Dinosauraddict i have the same due date 10th march with a little boy we have named Arthur :) how are you feeling?

whiskersonkittenss · 28/10/2019 13:24

does anyone know how long your milk takes to dry up if you don't breastfeed? first time mom here and I have massive tits that will probably crush the baby 😂

MissPepper8 · 28/10/2019 20:26

@whiskersonkittenss It won't dry up if you're not actively feeding (I don't think it will, I mean put it this way, with DS I was able to bf and bottle and I stopped completely at 4 months and still when he was 7/8 months I had leaky boobs and patches 😐).

You can actually start self expressing at 37 weeks, use 1/5ml syringes and freeze it. This is what I'm going to do as I really want to make a go of it at this time. Ill try find the Instagram page I follow if you're interested x

MunchyMunchkin · 28/10/2019 20:45

@whiskersonkittenss it varies from person to person and on whether at all.
Big breasts just need different positioning to feed, so don’t let that put you off! Even if you just do the colostrum so the baby gets that at first.

MiniJMac · 28/10/2019 20:55

@barnyb I too have been having horrid pains in my lower abdomen and tummy every now and then. Made worse if I sneeze to hard or get up to quickly.
I've been under a serious amount of stress since Friday which has made me worry so much about bump (Currently 18+3) so wanting the 20 week scan here for some reassurance as I've not really felt any movements as such, just the odd flutter at night time but its probably wind or something. But since the stress my pains have been worse. Taking a flight for a much needed break tomorrow so hoping for some much needed rest.
Morning sickness has stopped though, been two weeks with nothing woohoo!!!!
Hope everyone is okay.

MissPepper8 · 28/10/2019 21:47

I had my scan, I got a few awkward pictures but unfortunately have to go back next week as baby wasn't playing ball at all and we got everything but the heart.

My god rough isn't the word, stomach is absolutely killing me, I forgot to drink but didn't need to, baby was tucked right in the corner of my womb facing my back.

I swear she said he too and I've convinced myself now, so I'm feeling a bit deflated after today. I feel now I've done it I do feel like I want a girl more as its our last baby (I know I'm stupid).

SweetChillis · 28/10/2019 22:00

Finally had my 20 week scan and all looked fine, this little one behaved themselves this time and laid in the current position. We are having a little boy 😊

@sadtoday21 congrats on having a boy😁 @misspepper8 there's been a few babies not playing ball at 20 week scan on here. At least you get to see him or her again. @minijmac hope you're OK. I've also still not felt much and I'm 19 plus 3 today it's annoying but apparently normal on your first

MissPepper8 · 29/10/2019 08:43

@Jesskir89 Thank you xx I guess so, I feel a bit meh I have to go again since I was worried. Lady said cleft looked OK which was main worry, we did a close up zoom up on babies face :) x

Jesskir89 · 29/10/2019 12:28

@misspepper8 hopefully that offered some reassurance and just have been nice to see little ones face. Hope you're OK x

DaniX91 · 29/10/2019 12:38

I've just had a really funny turn while getting my hair done and it's worried me a bit. I was in the middle of having my colour put on and my eyes started feeling funny, then I started feeling really hot and faint. I looked in the mirror and even my lips were white, I didn't wanna make a fuss so I didn't say anything but the hairdresser stopped what she was doing and got me some water. I don't think I've ever sweat like it before, my dress is actually wet now.
Shall I ring the midwife? Any advice would be much appreciated x

barnyb · 29/10/2019 13:46

@SweetChillis lovely scan :)
@DaniX91 hope your ok? What's the latest?
@MiniJMac good luck on your break away! Try and relax and I bet those feelings u get at night time is the baby. Mine moves mostly at bed time xxx

DerbyshireGirly · 29/10/2019 14:02

Not caught up with this thread for a while! Love everybody's scan photos, so cute Smile

Had a few really good weeks where I felt amazing and then out of the blue last week I just couldn't stop crying. Feel good again this week but it's such a rollercoaster isn't it?

MissPepper8 · 29/10/2019 14:20

@DaniX91 Sounds like a fainting episode, did it feel like everything was closing in and going black? Have you not had alot to drink or eat today? What happens is my pressure is normal and then I get a random huge spike and it drops quite quickly, causing the faint. I feel really heady/spaced out, hot and my sight starts blacking out until I faint. Usually get it if im over doing it, feeling bit poorly or not eaten enough.

I've had a few this pregnancy again, they're not nice and I get so embarrassed, I use to do it in clubs if it was too hot, man caught me once when I was 30 weeks pregnant too.

I'd let them know, I did tell my Dr when I was pregnant with Ds as I had alot of nasty ones in stores ect but he wasn't helpful.

DaniX91 · 29/10/2019 16:40

@barnyb I'm fine now thankyou, I felt ok about half an hour later. Thankyou for asking😊
@MissPepper8 yea that's exactly what it felt like! Started with my eyes going funny which disorientated me then I started feeling really faint and the sweating started! My face and lips went so white and I felt all whoozy.
I've tried ringing the midwife and had no answer. I really feel for u if you're having those regularly cos they're quite scary aren't they!
Thankyou for the reply x

DaniX91 · 29/10/2019 16:41

@MissPepper8 I'd had 2 crumpets and a banana about an hour before it happened x

MissPepper8 · 29/10/2019 16:45

@DaniX91 They're horrible, been struggling eating and drinking and I get them quite alot that's why I mentioned eating. Glad you're feeling better now though, if you're standing and it happens, try sit asap and slow breathing. But definitely mention to midwife she told me to tell my Dr xx

DaniX91 · 29/10/2019 16:52

@MissPepper8 that must be awful for u! I'm not at the midwife again until 21st November so I don't know whether it's worth keep tryin to call or just waiting until then x

maybenextmonth · 29/10/2019 17:34

@DerbyshireGirly I was exactly the same as this last week!! I cried on my boss over absolutely nothing, he kept asking me if I was okay and wouldn't let it go, so I cried! I also cried because my dog kept sniffing when we were out walking! So irrational! I also feel better this week - so bizarre! How many weeks are you out of interest?

MissPepper8 · 29/10/2019 18:28

@DaniX91 Ah thank you hun, ill be fine, but look after yourself and take it slow if you get it again x

Can you text her? I have 2 mw mobiles to contact during day time, if I had an issue when I was pregnant with DS I just text them, apologising that I couldn't get through via call x

DaniX91 · 29/10/2019 18:37

@MissPepper8 I will do, same to u 😊. I don't have a mobile number for the midwife that I've been seeing but I did get a letter yesterday from a community midwife who's made an appointment to come out to my house (is that normal btw?). I'm back to work when she's arranged it for but there is a mobile number on the letter. I feel like I can't text her with never meeting her before though x

MissPepper8 · 29/10/2019 19:43

@DaniX91 Sometimes they like to do home visits, I got these on 3rd tri but my first lot during 2nd tri was in the surgery (I guess it has alot to do with your area).

I see what you mean, I had text mine as she liked to text me and I'd met her several times. Keep trying they will get back to you xx

DerbyshireGirly · 30/10/2019 08:45

@maybenextmonth oh gosh I feel for you but crying over the dog did make me smile. I also did some "work crying"! Blush I'm 20 weeks tomorrow, what about you?

DaniX91 · 30/10/2019 09:42

@DerbyshireGirly nothing worse than work crying 😂 I did it a couple of weeks ago for no reason at all. Sat in the head's office for half an hour having a full on breakdown while he awkwardly handed me tissues and told me thaf I was probably feeling overwhelmed with all the big changes ahead bless him!
