Need a bit of advice, is anyone suffering with insomnia? I can goto bed at 11pm or 12am and I cannot fall asleep :( so I'm there until 2am. Then I've sometimes been waking at 4,5,6am.

Finding it upsetting now cause DC1 gets up at 7am and I'm on my nose all morning (unless he naps) and even then I still find myself struggling towards 4ish, but come 10pm I'm wide awake again.

What the hell is gonig on with me. Thank god I don't have to work right now I'd really be struggling.

Yvonne1988 · 15/10/2019 09:02

@misspepper8 yeh I get like that. For me last about a week then I'll sleep good. But that one week is hell

sadtoday21 · 15/10/2019 09:50

@MunchyMunchkin congrats!! That is a beautiful scan picture ❤️

Jesskir89 · 15/10/2019 10:08

@misspepper8 I've been like that for 9 weeks now even at weekend I was up at 6.30 and up in the night for a wee...

MissPepper8 · 15/10/2019 10:22

@Yvonne1988 and @Jesskir89 it's hell.. I'm a night person usually but i can't function in the morning at all right now, even if I have a successful 10 hour bloody sleep and DH takes DS for me on the weekend.

Yvonne1988 · 15/10/2019 10:30

@misspepper8 I'm a night person. I'm going to sleep before half 11 and sleeping a good 8 hours and still tired. I usually average 5 or 6 hours a night. Never slept so much in my life.

blondie87 · 15/10/2019 12:37

20 week scan was awesome. Such an active little baby playing with its toes. We are having our third boy 💙

blondie87 · 15/10/2019 12:40

Here he is!

@Yvonne1988 it's horrible :( just nothing is working. I don't remember being this tired with DC and I'm trying to eat.

Congratulations @blondie87 beautiful scan pic xx Mines due on the 28th, hope DH doesn't try to find out what where having. I know what he's like.

Jesskir89 · 15/10/2019 16:45

@misspepper8 try a pregnancy pillow and lavender. @blondie87 congratulations! X

Yvonne1988 · 15/10/2019 16:57

I think I'm growing today. Got an achy bump

sadtoday21 · 15/10/2019 17:21

@blondie87 beautiful scan photo, congrats!!

When did you ladies start using pregnancy pillows (i.e. how many weeks)? What are the best brands and can any of them double as nursing pillows? Thinking about this given also terrible sleep lately, but not sure whether its too soon, as I'm only 18+5.

@Jesskir89 love the lavender suggestion!

DaniX91 · 15/10/2019 17:38

What lovely scans 😍 it must be amazing seeing how much they've grown from the previous one.
We have our 20 week one on Friday afternoon when I'll be 19 weeks.
I'm 90% sure that I felt a kick this morning! It just felt like a little tap low down on the right side of my stomach. I had a private scan at 16 weeks and was told that I have an anterior placenta, is it possible that it was a kick at 18+4 weeks?x

sadtoday21 · 15/10/2019 17:58

Hey @DaniX91 I'm 18+5, also with an anterior placenta, and haven't even felt flutters yet! I'm soooo jealous! Have you been having flutterings for awhile now? It's entirely possible it was a kick, but haven't heard of anyone getting kicks that early with anterior placenta. Good luck for your scan this Friday!!! Mine is Monday and I'm really nervous about it, but trying to focus on other things.

MissPepper8 · 15/10/2019 18:05

@Jesskir89 I said this to DH after I posted, it might help me get comfy as I usually sleep kinda on my front. The lavender idea is a great idea too, I use to use pray when I was pregnant with Ds.

@Yvonne1988 I've had groin pain the last few days, like either side and under tummy and round the bottom of my back. It's a ligament thing I think x

DaniX91 · 15/10/2019 18:15

Hi @sadtoday21 ooh so u must be due the 12th then? There's been a couple of times over the past couple of days when I've felt like a bubbly feeling and wondered if it could be the baby but today it was a tapping sensation. Just one tap but it was very noticeable. I'm thinking it's too soon because of my placenta, unless it's moved?
I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry ❤️ u will lie there in awe at your scan wondering what all the worry was for! X

Jesskir89 · 15/10/2019 18:34

@sadtoday21 and @misspepper8 my dh has a pregnancy pillow because he loves it lol I've knicked his I would recommend getting a good one though as they fall apart and the lavender spray 3 for 10 pound on amazon x

Yvonne1988 · 15/10/2019 18:38

@misspepper8 mines more like round the sides and top. Starting to feel quite tight and the skin is stretching. And that was before I ate a chippy tea 😂

MunchyMunchkin · 15/10/2019 19:13

Great news @blondie87 wonder how many boys vs girls we have now.

Jesskir89 · 15/10/2019 19:28

@munchymunchkin we will have to do a count in a few weeks when everyone's had their 20 week scans. Everyone should of had them by mid Nov

maybenextmonth · 15/10/2019 19:46

@sadtoday21 I got my pregnancy pillow at 18 weeks as I've been have pelvis pain since 16 weeks. I've got the dream genii and it also doubles as a nursing pillow. I like it so far - I've only had it about a week so still getting used to sleeping with something.

blondie87 · 15/10/2019 20:07

@MunchyMunchkin thank you! You’re having a boy too aren’t you?

@maybenextmonth I’ve just ordered one of those. Glad you like it!

MunchyMunchkin · 15/10/2019 20:29

@blondie87 we are indeed!

sep30 · 15/10/2019 22:27

All was looking fab in the 20 week scan today, I was so nervous before but needn't have been! Quite a scary scan photo as it was arching back 🙈keeping the sex a surprise! So lovely them going through every part of the body and talking through what they're finding, so amazing! Hope everyone else's went well 🥰

MissPepper8 · 15/10/2019 23:35

@Jesskir89 thanks hun, I'm gonna get one and have a look at different brands. I'm so sick of not being able to sleep comfy :(

@Yvonne1988 Ah I see, not too tight yet unless baby moves in an awkward spot and my whole tummy goes rock hard. Mines more ligament pains I guess, worse after I walk lots.

@sep30 Awesome scan pic, how amazing is that to see baby so clearly. I hate 20 week scan, I get so nervous they might find something. All I want to know is everything's ok :(
