😍😍😍😍

barnyb · 14/10/2019 08:06

@sadtoday21 hello lovely !
my midwife told me that if your placenta is at the front of your belly (anterior) then it can act like a cushion to any kicks or bumps from baby. So basically the placenta will be getting all the bashing and you won't feel a thing until baby is a lot bigger. Some people have to even wait until around 26+ weeks to feel anything. This will be confirmed at your next scan if this is the case. Xxx

Keyboard91 · 14/10/2019 08:07

@Yvonne1988 I hope they sort themselves out today!

@Dinosauraddict it’s great to hear things are on the up! Did they find out what caused everything?

@Bramble1983 when I had my consultant appointment (15+1) I asked and the MW who was in the room offered to try and was successful, so do ask even at consultant appointments :)

@Jesskir89 we’ve booked a private gender scan for 26th when I’ll be 18+2! If you can afford it, then you should! The window to the womb include a 4D peek in their package if you have one of those near you?

We would both love a little girl, but as I have 4 brothers and DF has a brother, I’m expecting a boy! It’s our first so we will be VERY happy with either.

16 week appointment with midwife at 9:30 - sat here with notes and a pee sample on my lap so I don’t forget them - memory is shocking!

@sadtoday21 sorry didn't mean to send my attachment again xx 😅

blondie87 · 14/10/2019 08:11

@barnyb I think it’s another boy based on bump, symptoms etc but I’ve been having girl vibes from early on and dreamt last night it was a girl bit I think that’s just wishful thinking so I’m not so outnumbered 😂 I just want a healthy baby and a little clan of boys would be sweet 😍

barnyb · 14/10/2019 08:27

@blondie87 haha oh it would be lovely either way! Three babies is such a blessing :) Do you follow Emily Noris on YouTube? She does lovely vlogs about family life, pregnancy, cleaning etc. She has three boys and they are all a super sweet family!
I thought I was having a boy because I had a dream that I had a tiny tiny little boy and he was wearing the smallest pair of blue jeans 😂😂 which is funny because I don't like tiny babies in jeans lol lol! And we are having a girl xxxx

sadtoday21 · 14/10/2019 11:28

Thanks @Jesskir89! I think the nervousness is ratcheting up as the 20 week scan is one week away now. How are you doing?

@blondie87 I've told my midwife and she lets me come in as often as I like to check the hb, which is great. She wasn't concerned about lack of movement before 24 weeks either, but in general I find midwives to take a very relaxed approach to the whole process, which is a bit frustrating for me. Hope you find out the gender soon!

Thanks @barnyb and congrats on making it to the halfway point!! That's fantastic!! I do have an anterior placenta, so I know in theory it can take longer. Just really was hoping for something before the scan next week.

Anyone else already having trouble sleeping only on left side? My leg and boobs feel so sore/stiff from being in one position all night! I need to toss and turn and sleep on right side too, but afraid this is bad for the baby. How are you all dealing with this?

Yvonne1988 · 14/10/2019 11:37

@sadtoday21 I don't think it's bad for the baby it's more about your circulation I'm sure. I flip between either side.

Got a 2nd had prep machine today. After slagging them saying who needs one of those... Think it's gonna be amazing ,😂 only used ready made milk last time so I was freaking out a bit about having to make up bottles.

I feel like it's still too early cos I just can't help but think what if.. and I have to get rid of all the stuff. Also why I dread going back to work

Dinosauraddict · 14/10/2019 11:42

@Jesskir89 and @Keyboard91 they decided I had a burst stomach ulcer and (very late) extreme HG. Fun and games!
@Yvonne1988 and @sadtoday21 I have NHS scans booked every 4 weeks between 20 and 40 weeks (already received all the appointments) as I'm consultant led - I assumed that was normal...

Yvonne1988 · 14/10/2019 12:01

@Dinosauraddict I think for issue free pregnancy it's just the 2 scans. I never had any more. My mum didn't my cousin didn't. Friends didn't Even when I went in once for something I didn't get a scan but I had the monitoring thing strapped to me and that was it.

Jesskir89 · 14/10/2019 12:25

Sorry just catching up @keybpard91 just booked one for Saturday at 18 weeks :) @sadtoday21 im good thanks sweet nervous for this scan now lol and @dinosauraddict gosh thank goodness you're OK! @barnyb is pheobe baby's name? That was my first choice I love it but dh said no, because he knew a pheobe he didn't like lol

maybenextmonth · 14/10/2019 12:58

@sadtoday21 I'm really struggling with sleeping on my side as well, I go from one side to the other but I always always wake up on my back even though I have a pregnancy pillow that's meant to stop it happening. I'm bored of having to keep moving every time I wake up in the night!

whiskersonkittenss · 14/10/2019 17:01

got my 20 week scan tomorrow, does anyone know how long it takes? my 12 week one took about 15 mins, then an hour of waiting around after to have my bloods taken

whiskersonkittenss · 14/10/2019 17:05

reading these comments I am so glad I'm naturally a side sleeper. although I definitely need a pregnancy pillow as I move constantly all night. and why can't pillows stay ice cold!? 😩

sadtoday21 · 14/10/2019 18:02

@whiskersonkittenss the scan generally takes about 30 minutes, a bit longer than the 12 week one because they do more detailed checks. Good luck tomorrow!

Regarding sleeping, I am naturally a left-side sleeper too, thankfully, but I still get sore in one position all night. I just need a few minutes on right-side here and there to get comfortable. Is it worth investing in a pregnancy pillow or are they a waste of money?

Jesskir89 · 14/10/2019 18:24

Good luck @whiskersonkittenss :) upload your pic please. @sadtoday21 worth it! Invest in a good one though cheap ones don't last

maria94 · 14/10/2019 20:05

@barnyb I don't think I've spoken to you since finding out the gender of our babies, we're both having girls! Common @blondie87 make it 3 girls all due on the 2nd of March 😂 hope you scan goes well, bet you can't wait. We had ours last week and it was lush to see how much she'd grow. Let us know😁 X

barnyb · 14/10/2019 20:52

@maria94 hahaha oh god yes wouldn't that be so funny if we are all having girls ! @blondie87 not long now !! 😬😬😬😬
@maria94 how are u feeling at the mo?? Iv been getting really tired these last couple of days!! It's mid morning I start flagging! Eeeekkk. X

blondie87 · 14/10/2019 20:54

Ha @maria94 will update tomorrow. Congratulations on your little girl x

blondie87 · 14/10/2019 20:55

Eeeek @barnyb I’m so excited 😆

maria94 · 14/10/2019 21:29

@barnyb Today's been the first day in a while where I've actually felt alright... I'm sure the tiredness will return tomorrow 😅 Starting to get a bit uncomfortable now though, can't seem to get comfy anywhere! how about you? Are you feeling lots of movements yet? X

@blondie87 thank you X

barnyb · 14/10/2019 21:45

@maria94 hahaha yes don't brag too much! Tomorrow is another day 🙉😅
Yes I have had lots of movement for the last few weeks now. The last few days it's been more obvious. And my husband felt baby moving on Friday night ! So that's exciting! I hope we get more of that soon! How about you??? X

MunchyMunchkin · 14/10/2019 22:32

@whiskersonkittenss mine took 20mins today.

MunchyMunchkin · 14/10/2019 22:34

Great 20 weeks scan today, on time for a change so we weren’t at the hospital too long.
Long legs on this one, same as his sister.

Jesskir89 · 15/10/2019 06:50

@munchymunchkin what a lovely scan pic 😊
