New thread ladies :)

Has to be the most active thread on MN!

Feel free to state how far you are/EDD in your first post here so we have a reminder of who is where :)

Happy 2nd trimester to everyone now I think!

I’m 13+6 and due March 26th ❤️

@Yvonne1988 the MW found HB at my consultant appointment so I’m hoping the MW tomorrow will try even if I have to ask 🤞must remember to pee in a pot!

Sorry your not feeling great and are off. Are you only contracted until Christmas? I’m hoping I can go back after half term as it’s only a 4.5 week term for us (stupid making this one 8 weeks!) and management aren’t very sympathetic to absence.

@keyboard91 I feel fine. I got signed off after going to hospital for bleeding. I don't have a risk assessment, I'm probably expected to have a day in the kitchen by myself when the other one is off. There's a theme day for Halloween she wanted me to spend one full day baking for it then the next day on the theme day. No im permanent there but it's a council building so we shut for 2 weeks at Xmas. If I can get signed off til the 20th which is the last day the earliest I can start my maternity is the 3rd which is the day it opens back up.

Hi everyone, having tech problems (not sure if it's because I'm currently abroad) but getting emails saying I'm being tagged but I can't read any posts. Short update from me - baby is doing really well thank God. Had a scan this week and baby is growing again and wiggling about again. I'm off some of the stronger painkillers now and slowly on the mend. Hope everyone's ok!!

barnyb · 13/10/2019 19:51

Hello all! I'm 20 weeks tomorrow HALF WAY THROUGH !! I can't believe it! I remember when we all started chatting at the beginning and we had all been soo worried and scared of the slightest cramp or twinge ! Actually don't think much has changed 😂
anyone else half way yet? Or just about to be??
Literally can't believe it!
Also SOOOOO TIRED at the moment. Dreading work tomorrow xxx

Jesskir89 · 13/10/2019 20:15

@dinosauraddict glad you're OK did they get to the bottom of it? @barnyb nooo you're 2.5 weeks ahead of me and I'm finally past the point of my prior mmc but still anxious as hell :( hopefully will get better at 20 weeks. Might book a private gender scan for next weekend and give me reassurance too. I'll be18week by then

sep30 · 13/10/2019 20:20

@barnyb I'm 20 weeks today and definitely still get worried 😂🙊cannot believe we're half way through, it's crazy! So excited for my scan on Tuesday and hopefully will put my mind at ease for a little bit! X

Bramble1983 · 13/10/2019 20:26

It’s great to read everyone’s updates 😀

Got my 16 week appointment on Tuesday and have the same anxiety as a lot of you ladies, having had a previous MMC. Really hope we hear the HB although I know I have a retroverted uterus, so not sure if that will make it difficult. I also know it’s with the consultant not the midwife, so not sure if they do them?

No movement here yet but LOTS of growing / stretching aches which gives me some comfort.

No bump to see but this week my trousers are finally getting super tight and my tummy definitely looks like it’s sticking out.

Jesskir89 · 13/10/2019 20:37

@sep30 that's great please post a pic :) @bramble1983 I heard it but mine was with the midwife.

barnyb · 13/10/2019 20:52

@sep30 congratulations for getting half way!! Isn't it so exciting! I have had a really testing pregnancy with the sickness and the worry. but now I'm finding myself getting past all of that and I'm going to try and be more positive (she says) 😂 good luck on Tuesday :)
@Jesskir89 I always think ur around the same as me! It feels like uv been on this chat since the very very beginning! ? lol. Well I think a gender scan sounds like a good plan! You must be dying to know!!!!! what do you think?? we had ours just before 16 weeks and it was a crazy crazy experience and also I was really exhausted after lol! I think I worked myself up a lot prior hahaha xxx

Jesskir89 · 13/10/2019 20:56

@barnyb I joined the thread right away as @dinosauraddict told me about it on our chlomid thread so I've been on here for over 13 weeks lol. And yes I am dying to know now as we weren't going to for a while. Everyone keeps saying boy because I've not had much sickness and my bumps quite big already. I don't mind either as long as its healthy :)

maria94 · 13/10/2019 20:56

@barnyb I'm 20 weeks tomorrow too! I can't believe it.. finally half way! I'm still suffering with headaches, heartburn & being super tired but I have a very active baby which I'm grateful for. (I still manage to worry though!)

Also, is your 20 week anomaly scan your last nhs scan? Do you get offered anymore or is that it now? X

MunchyMunchkin · 13/10/2019 21:39

@Bramble1983 your retroverted uterus shouldn’t make a difference at 16 weeks as it’s grown and flipped forward. You should be able to feel it if you pop a hand between you pubic bone and belly button (fellow RV uterus owner here). However lots of places don’t listen at 16 weeks now.

I’m 20 weeks Tuesday. Still don’t look massively pregnant but plenty of movement going on so something is in there. Scan tomorrow. I’ll take halfway at 20.5 weeks as could go to 41 weeks! Ever the pessimist.

barnyb · 13/10/2019 22:00

@maria94 ahhh amazing lol! Sorry you've been having head aches and heart burn! My symptoms are now tiredness and aching legs at night time. so not too bad at the moment. In raged tk the scan I have no idea!?? I assumed there would be another scan??! What are other people saying about it?? I will ask in Thursday xxx

barnyb · 13/10/2019 22:01

@maria94 in regards

barnyb · 13/10/2019 22:03

@Jesskir89 yes of course any sex will be absolutely amazing ! I feel the same. I know some people do have a preference but honestly I just want a baby !! yes go go go for it ! Also yes sounds like a boyo to me too! But you just never know eh :)

Jesskir89 · 13/10/2019 22:30

@barnyb will keep you posted :)

Jesskir89 · 13/10/2019 22:32

@barnyb there's a thread for leg aches at night you should have a nosey it might help

Yvonne1988 · 13/10/2019 22:33

@maria94 unless there are growth issues there are no more scans after the 20 weeks one

sadtoday21 · 13/10/2019 22:59

@MunchyMunchkin good luck for your scan tomorrow! Mine is next Monday and I’m terrified. Hope all is well and you can relax a bit more after tomorrow. Halfway is a huge milestone! Will be thinking of you xxx.

@Yvonne1988 I think there is one more scan after 20 to check birth position - my midwife said around 36 weeks or so!

Well I’m 18+4 now and still no movement 😔. Someone please reassure me, trying to stay positive but starting to get really scared in advance of my scan next week.

Yvonne1988 · 13/10/2019 23:32

@sadtoday21 I don't know anyone who had them after 20 weeks routine.

Jesskir89 · 14/10/2019 06:44

@sadtoday21 anytime up to 22 weeks for movement try not to worry :) @yvonne1988 I was also told that to see if baby is breech etc

Bramble1983 · 14/10/2019 07:03

@MunchyMunchkin ah okay - I now this sounds silly but not sure I can feel anything 😞. I’m not sure if it makes a different but I’ve always done a lot of sport / running so have a pretty hard stomach from the muscles? If I push it with the flat of my hard it’s just all firm to the touch but I can’t differentiate anything. I know it was still firmly backwards at my 13 week scan as they noted it on the report and said that was why the resolution was poor. Good to know they’ll still be able to hear baby 😀

Good luck for your scan today 😀

blondie87 · 14/10/2019 07:59

@barnyb I’m 20 weeks today and got my scan tomorrow! Baby is so active, can’t wait to see it. Finding out what we’re having tomorrow too... will it be boy n3? 😂

barnyb · 14/10/2019 08:02

@blondie87 congratulations to you too! So there are three of us due the same day! How exciting 😻
I wonder who will have their baby first?? 🙊
Oh my goodness what do you think your having? If this is number 3 you must be an expert now! :) is your bump similar to the bumps before? also well done for waiting until 20 weeks! I was sooooo eager I couldn't wait a moment longer ! :) xx

blondie87 · 14/10/2019 08:04

Sorry @sadtoday21, just saw your post re movements. This is what the NHS says but if you’re worried why don’t you have a chat with your midwife? I’m in baby 3 which may explain why I’m feeling movement- no core strength left 😂
