We are definitely finding out, we don’t mind at all but both have a feeling its a girl, well if nub theory is accurate it will be x

DerbyshireGirly · 10/10/2019 12:22

@Jesskir89 it'll be a surprise either way! You'll just be surprised a bit sooner if you do find out. Exciting!!

Has anybody else had a complete lack of cravings? People keep asking and I feel so boring saying "no" every time I'm asked. I feel like people want to hear about your crazy hunger for mashed potato with strawberry jam or something else bizarre. But nothing at all.

maybenextmonth · 10/10/2019 12:40

@Jesskir89 @DerbyshireGirly i agree that neutral is boring but I also quite like a little white baby grow with something on it. Then other people can buy gender specific when you've found out... well that's what I'm thinking anyway. Who knows.

I haven't had any cravings either. I'm hardly anyone I speak to has had any.

Yvonne1988 · 10/10/2019 13:06

@derbyshiregirly the only craving I had right at the start even before I knew was BBQ sauce. I don't like bbq sauce. But now I just look food. I can crave a certain thing but it's just like before I'd crave things.

ELW85 · 10/10/2019 13:29

@Jesskir89 - I was ok but I woke up with an awful headache at 4am and have felt rubbish all day so I’ve come home now.
Rang the midwife and she’s going to do a full check up on me tomorrow.

@sadtoday21 - I hope we feel something soon too. We might have already and just not known 😊 next scan is 6th November but it feels forever away!

Jesskir89 · 10/10/2019 14:15

@DerbyshireGirly there was a lot of lols in my last post sorry! And you're right a baby being born itself is magical :) @maybenextmonth you're right there and I've bought all white sleepsuits as they're cute. I've not had cravings either early on I wanted ribena a lot but think I was craving vitamin c. @ELW85 get some rest, I hope you're feeling better soon x

ELW85 · 10/10/2019 14:32

Thank you, @Jesskir89 x

georgia19ox · 10/10/2019 16:44

@Dinosauraddict we have the same due date!!!

blondie87 · 10/10/2019 17:06

I am desperate to find out! Which I’ll be doing if baby plays ball at 20 week scan next week. With regards to movements, I have felt movements for about two weeks but last night/today it’s really reduced but my midwife notes say to contact maternity assessment from 24 weeks so I’m not sure what to do. As some people haven’t felt movement at all by this point I’m sure it’s ok but it’s the first thing I’ve been concerned about.

Yvonne1988 · 10/10/2019 17:23

@blondie87 I had a few days where I hardly felt anything compared to what I had .. then today iv never felt so much!
Its too early to have a pattern or anything yet.

blondie87 · 10/10/2019 17:26

That’s reassuring @Yvonne1988. Thank you! Yeah it’s really from 24 weeks where you should notice a pattern- just disconcerting.

Yvonne1988 · 10/10/2019 17:41

@blondie87 I was at Butlins all weekend for a music festival and I thought I'd feel it all time with the loud music. Was only the first night and the rest of the weekend I think it was just like ffs can't you keep it down and I hardly felt a thing, when I expected loads.

avocadoincident · 10/10/2019 19:08

Re: boring neutral unisex.

Boots do cool baby grows that are bright and unisex. The hunky drawback is most of their range o ly have poppers between the legs and I find it harder to get a newborn in them. I like newborn things to be poppered all along the body so there's not too much limb pulling

avocadoincident · 10/10/2019 19:11

Also baby stuff coming in to Lidls again...

@avocadoincident Brill! Did you mean to put the wine on? Lol

blondie87 · 10/10/2019 19:26

I will never use bottom fastening baby gros again. Awful if there’s a poo explosion 😂

barnyb · 10/10/2019 19:37

Hey guys wondering what everyone is getting sleep wise? Moses? Cot? Next to me?
Xx

Yvonne1988 · 10/10/2019 19:54

@barnyb I'm supposed to get a baby box living in Scotland which the baby can sleep in so I'm gonna use that for as long as it fits. If it lasts 6 months then into a cot. If not I'll just use a Moses basket, without the stand like I did with my first.

barnyb · 10/10/2019 20:23

@Yvonne1988 that's lovely that give you a baby box! I live in in the south east and no such luck here! why would you not use the stand for the Moses? X

Cantrip · 10/10/2019 20:35

I’m not finding out, which my Ofer children are furious about ...they’re desperate to do a big gender reveal 🤣
Told them that I didn’t find out with any of them, so I feel like I have to do things the same this time around!
2 weeks til my 20 week scan. I’m finding the waiting horrendous - was monitored much more closely in my previous pregnancies. It’s actually really depressing noticing the effects of all the nhs cuts since I had my last one.

Jesskir89 · 10/10/2019 21:12

@barnyb I'm using a moses basket then small cot or a next to me if I can find one cheap enough as I'm not paying 200 for one. Avacado posted one from lidl before for 80 so will look at that. Then cot before baby is 1 x

jennabobs89 · 10/10/2019 21:25

I used a next to me for my first found them really good. I got a second hand one off shprock as good as new and less than half the price!

barnyb · 10/10/2019 21:27

@Jesskir89 that's a good idea!. Yes I saw the photos of the Lidl bits. Such bargains! Iv got a Moses too but I haven't got a stand yet. And I also got a small cot from Asda which is fab and was about £89 I think with the mattress too! I really love a Moses basket so I hope she enjoys sleeping in it 😍 xx

barnyb · 10/10/2019 21:28

@jennabobs89 I hear such a good things about the next to me type beds ! Lots of my friends have had them xx
