New thread ladies :)

Has to be the most active thread on MN!

Feel free to state how far you are/EDD in your first post here so we have a reminder of who is where :)

Happy 2nd trimester to everyone now I think!

I’m 13+6 and due March 26th ❤️

A lot to catch up on!

@Yvonne1988 sorry you had such a scare but glad GP was supportive and signed you off to rest

@Dinosauraddict you’ve not had an easy pregnancy! I’m so so glad baby is okay (but please do complain to PALs as not scanning baby was not on!) and I hope they get to the bottom of your pain soon.

Welcome to the newcomers :)

15+1 today. Have my first consultants appointment this morning so nervous as don’t know what to expect. Have private gender scan booked for 23rd Oct (half term) and then my anomaly scan is Nov 13th. Getting problems with constipation which is glorious. The headaches have settled. Starting to get pain in my hips and lower back which I will mention at today’s appointment (main reason for consultant is a neuromuscular disease) and see what they suggest.

Finding work really difficult. Yesterday I literally had to sit it clutch the wall to stand at some points due to dizziness (I think BP) and I just need a break after 5 weeks of 6 days in school! Desperately want to avoid being signed off though.

Anyway, that’s me summed up in an essay, off to see if fybogel and veg has worked this morning 😂 hope everyone is doing okay today ❤️

@keyboard91 sounds like you're struggling. Try and take it easy. I'm getting ready for my 16 week reassurance scan due to prior missed mc I'm nervous as hell!

Yvonne1988 · 04/10/2019 09:39

Anyone had Braxton Hicks yet? I never did with my first but pretty sure iv had the odd tightening.

Jesskir89 · 04/10/2019 09:55

Scan went well ladies :)

Lovely scan @Jesskir89 😍

MissPepper8 · 04/10/2019 14:19

@Jesskir89 Ah look Smile how lovely and exciting.

I had my 16 week app today, took ages to find baby with doppler, ill admit I think me and mw were a bit worried. Baby was tucked right at the back wriggling, there's not much to me after all this vomiting, lost so much weight I was literally worried something was wrong.

Been advised to goto gp for anti sick pills as Im losing weight and I can't keep fluids down. Good news mind 8 hours sleep last night woohoo!

whiskersonkittenss · 04/10/2019 14:24

ladies I need help with a double barrelled surname for my baby. which sounds better, when the first name starts with C-

Brookes-Campbell or Campbell-Brookes

blondie87 · 04/10/2019 14:36

Ah @Jesskir89 that’s fab I know you were anxious.

I personally think Campbell-Brookes flows nicely x

MunchyMunchkin · 04/10/2019 16:28

@Yvonne1988 I’ve had the odd one since 14 weeks. Really annoying.

Lovely scan @Jesskir89

Yvonne1988 · 04/10/2019 16:37

@munchymunchkin they are annoying. Giving me a little reminder of what's to come

sep30 · 04/10/2019 16:51

@whiskersonkittenss Campbell Brookes is brilliant! sounds like a jilly cooper character name (if you've read them)

Jesskir89 · 04/10/2019 18:36

@sep30 @misspepper8 @blondie87 and @munchymunchkin thank you :) I'm relieved now. @misspepper8 hope you're better soon. @whiskersonkittenss if it begins with a c I would say Brooks campbell

Jesskir89 · 04/10/2019 18:37

Thinking about it either will go :)

Cantrip · 04/10/2019 19:23

Haven’t posted for a fair while.

17+2 and still sick every day - biggest problem is struggling to take my inhalers, as my asthma gets way worse in pregnancy but as soon as I put the inhaler in my mouth I puke 🤮

Have felt very faint movements for a while now but, finding the fact that they’re so erratic difficult. Some days I don’t feel anything, so I worry that something’s gone wrong. It’s a long time since I had my older children, and my memories useless, can anyone tell me when movements become more regular?

It’s such early days still, but I’ve definitely had enough of the pregnancy bit and want to get to the baby bit!!

MissPepper8 · 05/10/2019 00:46

@Cantrip Have you asked gp for cyclizine or ondansetron? I'm the same vomited all night tonight again after eating toast too. I've given up, I've done an online consultation asking as I won't get in for 3 weeks. Movements are the same here (16w3days), movements quite obvious flutter type feelings then I feel pretty much nothing for a day (to the point I worried). Must be due to us moving around and not noticing. I think if I recall my DS was more active 20/25 plus?, but he was a lazy first baby and these were more evening and early morning movements.

Saying that tiny movements tonight but baby is literally wedged right front of my lower tummy, I think I can feel (lightly) what is a hard lump/back and geez it hurts to move in bed or stretch. Right in my pelvis 😩.

Bex240 · 05/10/2019 09:00

@whiskersonkittenss I think Campbell-Brookes has a better ring to it, but if you were to call your baby something beginning with an A, I would go the other way round so they get the initials ABC!

Yvonne1988 · 05/10/2019 09:24

I'm spending the weekend at Butlins at an alternative music festival. Not as easy as I expected. I had 3 hours sleep the night before. Managed to get 7 last night after being up til 1! Omg I'm so tired lol. The bed is hard as bricks. Roll on next year's when I won't be pregnant!

avocadoincident · 05/10/2019 11:10

@Yvonne1988 good for you for keeping on going! We went to
greenman festival in the summer and it was tough.

Yvonne1988 · 05/10/2019 11:14

@avocadoincident I still have 2 full days left yet

DaniX91 · 05/10/2019 11:54

Does anyone else on here wear a Fitbit? I've noticed this past week (currently 17+1) that as soon as I'm doing anything slightly physical, my heart is racing. I feel it and it stresses me out. I did a bit of cleaning before, felt my heart racing, felt really hot and looked at my Fitbit to see my hr was 141beats!

MockingJay27 · 05/10/2019 13:04

I am 16+2 and haven't felt any movements yet. Is that strange. I have an anterior placenta also.

DaniX91 · 05/10/2019 13:29

@MockingJay27 I'm 17+1 and I don't think I've felt anything yet. I also have an anterior placenta, from what I've read it could be weeks yet.

Cantrip · 05/10/2019 13:56

@MockingJay27 @DaniX91 - I’m not sure I would have recognised what I’m feeling as being the baby if I hadn’t already had several pregnancies. I think I’ve been aware of the movement slightly earlier each time - not until after 20 weeks with my 1st. And when I do feel it, it’s so faint that I sometimes think I’m imagining it anyway!!

MockingJay27 · 05/10/2019 14:03

@DaniX91 @Cantrip ThankYou for replying you've put my mind at ease x

Keyboard91 · 05/10/2019 14:19

Lovely scan @Jesskir89 🥰

@MockingJay27 @DaniX91 I have an anterior placenta too. I think I’ve felt baby twice. When I saw midwife yesterday she said it doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t feel it until late.

Anyone finding pregnancy is putting a strain on their relationship? DF and I seem to fight all the time now and it’s effecting my mood. I love him to pieces and I know he loves me. He just isn’t managing with my hormones and mood swings (I’m certain he is on the spectrum, I work with many ASD teens and his brother has aspergers), and obviously I’m not in control of my emotions at all times!
