@MockingJay27 hopefully it won't be long for us to feel them 😊 so excited for that! X

Jesskir89 · 05/10/2019 17:06

@keybpard91 it did at the start but not so much now. Have a sit down talk that's what I did and explain how you're feeling x

sep30 · 05/10/2019 18:11

@DaniX91 I always have my Apple Watch on and have noticed a slightly higher heart rate but it does go so high so quickly when I start walking the dogs etc, never used to get that out of breath but now each walk I'm puffing!!

MunchyMunchkin · 05/10/2019 20:02

@DaniX91 my heart rate seems to keep going up even the baseline. Was 58 before pregnancy and currently 75! Thinks I spend a lot of time in the fat burning zone as goes up higher whenever I do anything.

Jesskir89 · 05/10/2019 20:25

Never tracked my heart beat so not sure :( I do find I'm out of breath easier though. Does anyone on here have a dog sleeps in their bedroom? He had his own pen as a puppy but kept us awake that much we gave in and moved his bed upstairs. He's 2 and half now and wondering what to do when baby comes....

Bramble1983 · 05/10/2019 21:44

I’ve definitely noticed my heart rate is higher. I am still running 3-4 times a week and wear an Apple Watch, so easy to see what my heart rate is doing! I used to be able to run pretty hard for 45 minutes and my average heart rate was around 150-155bpm. Now if I shuffle along it’s already at 150bpm- can’t believe how slowly I have to go to keep it at that level 😩

maybenextmonth · 06/10/2019 07:17

@MockingJay27 @DaniX91 I'm 18+2 with my first and only just started feeling movement yesterday. my placenta is posterior.

I've also noticed my heart rate is high, but not always, when I'm walking it might just rocket up and then come back down. I'm breathless a lot though so making an effort to slow down - I'm always rushing around so it's hard.

Slightlylessclueless · 06/10/2019 08:15

Hi, am 16w+1, no movements yet, but this is my first. Have had a sickness-free first trimester, which sounds lovely however have found it terrifying up until the points of our 8 week and 12 week scans (and between!) as it was the same last time in what turned out to be a missed mc. Can’t wait for the 20 week scan in Nov.

@Jesskir89 I had been wondering the same thing! Our dog sleeps in a soft basket on the bottom of our bed, and is a bit of a baby. We have just got the chicco dream bedside cot where you can lift the side up and down in the night, so had been thinking about that with all four sides up, and she really isn’t a jumper. However keep seeing posts saying ‘I would never risk it’ so don’t know now...

@Bramble1983 I had been thinking of starting (slowly) jogging again, although is off-putting that both my midwives had suggested early on that it might be something to not do? They seemed to be erring on the side of caution and everything online seems to say the opposite! My fitness has dropped since, surely at a time when I should be thinking about it. Did your midwife offer any advice?

satsumasaturday · 06/10/2019 08:40

I'm 18+3 today and still don't think I've had any movements, I'm also not really showing - are others still in their jeans? My comfy jeans are starting to feel fuller now but I am still ok in them.

I also noticed my heart rate races up - I was on the tube the other day packed into a carriage and though I could feel my heart was racing. When I checked it was 140 😳. I get out of puff doing stairs much quicker and have had to slow the gym down - even though I'm not out of breath I figured I probably shouldn't push my heart last 150. My resting rate has slowly increased from 55 pre pregnancy to 65 now. I also woke up last night having a nosebleed which was a bit of a sleep disruption- has anyone else been having nosebleeds?

Jesskir89 · 06/10/2019 08:42

@slightlylessclueless were just having a moses basket but still unsure as I'm breastfeeding too. It's a tough one as don't want to make the dog jealous either....

Slightlylessclueless · 06/10/2019 09:20

@jesskir89 Yes it’s tricky isn’t it, think I will slowly move the bed onto the floor and hopefully across to the landing some nights, so if needed, she will not be jealous! Perhaps once baby arrives will make the decision.

@satsumasaturday I've not had nose bleeds but thought I was getting a cold as so stuffy sometimes, but then read in a ‘your 16 weeks’ email that your nasal glands swell now which mean you are stuffy and could have nosebleeds! So probably just that

Bramble1983 · 06/10/2019 11:23

@Slightlylessclueless I didn’t ask the midwife if I’m honest- there is SO much online that says that exercise is great for you and the baby that I decided to just go with it.

The American pregnancy association have great guidelines and they say 30 minutes 5 times a week, so I’m aiming for that; 3 to 4 cardio sessions which are either gentle jogging or my spin bike in the garage (heart rate at 150bpm) and then 5-10km walks one or both days of the weekend with hubby and are dogs.

There’s also lots that says it’s great for helping with labour 😀

DaniX91 · 06/10/2019 12:36

It's worrying when u feel it racing isn't it! Pleased to hear I'm not the only one feeling it. My Fitbit resting heart rate has gone from 72bpm the month before I got pregnant, to 87bpm now!

Jesskir89 · 06/10/2019 14:17

@slightlylessclueless that's the important thing that's why I'm going to try that before baby comes

barnyb · 07/10/2019 08:15

Hey guys ! I'm 19 weeks today! Woohooooo! Anyone who is 19 weeks ish feeling aching legs in bed and can't stand laying on left side???? It's killing me and I'm not even half way yet!
Also anyone wake up with aching belly ?? it's all going on I can tell you! 🤩😫

Also anyone spoken to midwife about washing baby clothes? It's such a shame to wash them because they are so fresh and pristine ! But I guess it's best for their skin!
Xx

barnyb · 07/10/2019 08:20

Also noticed people talking about movements.
So I started feeling baby moving at 14 weeks and then this was off and on little pokes and wriggles. And then two Fridays ago the movement was so strong it was making me feel so sick! It went on for about two hours non stop !! And then the following few days nothing at all! I was very worried and my midwife had me come in for a quick look at she found heart beat straight away!

She basically said because it's my first it's so rare for me to have even felt her at 14 weeks let alone 17/18 weeks and for it to have been so strong that it made me feel seasick! .
Anyway the moral of the story is. Everyone is different and we aren't meant to have felt anything until about 20/21 weeks. So she says! So try not to worry about movements yet. And if any worries at all then call someone straight away Xxxx

MunchyMunchkin · 07/10/2019 09:58

@barnyb I had some cracking sciatica yesterday and last night. I suspect based on where babe is lying as also felt very heavy down there if you catch my drift. Bit better today.

No need to wash baby clothes, save yourself the time and effort. Means you can leave tags on everything and take stuff back and swap if you get too much of one size rather than having stuff washed and unworn.
Didn’t wash anything for DD on the advice of my very sensible friend and won’t bother this time apart from freshening up the second hand stuff.

Jesskir89 · 07/10/2019 10:22

@barnyb I've developed insomnia since being pregnant and was so uncomfortable last night I though I was having braxton hicks! Also I'm going to wash baby clothes with non bio and comfort x

barnyb · 07/10/2019 11:59

@Jesskir89 oh wow really was it that bad!! My belly feels like I need to go to the toilet (TMI) but when I go I can't go! it aches and you just can't sleep! Also I have had the odd hour awake in the middle of the night and doesn't it put you in such a horrible grump the following day ! 🙊

barnyb · 07/10/2019 12:02

@MunchyMunchkin ahh me too! The shooting pains right down the arse is the worst! Mine has cleared up but If I don't stand correctly then it's back!! Thank you for advice on clothes :) x

Jesskir89 · 07/10/2019 12:24

@barnyb it's difficult! I would speak to your midwife and see if you can take anything

Yvonne1988 · 07/10/2019 14:35

On my way home from a surprisingly exhausting weekend. The beds at Butlins didn't help. So glad to be going home. Days of rest now. I didn't do that much but staying up a bit later than normal listening to bands.
Felt it alot the first night then not so much must have been fed up of all the noise lol

avocadoincident · 07/10/2019 14:41

@Keyboard91
We've definitely been going through a tricky patch lately. Just keep talking (and not necessarily just about the coming baby). We are getting on track but it's tough as we are sooooo tired. Our 18 month old likes to get up and start her day at 3:45 am and it's killing me slowly

DaniX91 · 07/10/2019 16:33

@MunchyMunchkin @barnyb the sciatica is awful isn't it! I'll be happily walking along then bang! Pain right down my bum cheek and leg, nearly knocks u over doesn't it! I'm 17+3 and I'm already really struggling with lying on my left side constantly, it's getting so achey and uncomfortable. I turn onto my right and onto my back then feel guilty so go back to my left x

Jesskir89 · 07/10/2019 18:13

@daniX91 that was me last night!
