@Dipsy77 congratulations!!!! That's brilliant- that round-the-corner cervix did its thing beautifully (though not surprised you are feeling a bit battered!!!). She is so gorgeous!

@BBell2 blimey, your DH is lucky he's still standing! You've already got a medical team advising you, don't quite see why his office needs a committee too...

@SJP3 hope you got either rest or progress overnight!

@Stroan that is so good to read!!! After your horrific pregnancy it is just brilliant to hear that things are looking up!

@challengeyourreality fingers crossed that's your DS on the up, phew! Re expressing- colostrum comes in teeny drops, and you'll be v lucky to get a teaspoon, so the pump would probably just eat it up- hand expressing all the way for colostrum! And some people don't get any til the baby turns up (although trying is meant to help hasten that moment!).

My mum arrives tomorrow. I reckon I'm safe to start ball bouncing big time today, right? I want this baby out... but not before 6pm tomorrow when the childcare arrives... 38 weeks today, and I went to 40 with both the others.

Exitstrategist · 16/09/2019 09:31

In hospital waiting for my c section this morning! Eekkkk! It’s really happening!!!

KnobJockey · 16/09/2019 09:37

Congratulations Dipsy! I'm glad to hear little Ruby is doing well.

Itakephotos, what a birth story! I'm glad to hear that you're all doing safe and well, is your DH totally traumatised? I told my DP about it, he was feeling ill just at the sound of it 😂

Megan, how are you and Felicity this morning, did you get much sleep?

SJP3, any developments overnight?

KnobJockey · 16/09/2019 09:38

Exit, good luck! Not long now. Dusty, why not? May as well try what you can!

KnobJockey · 16/09/2019 09:41

39+6 today, still no more signs. I've still got an upset stomach (to put it nicely) and I've just eaten my breakfast and then been sick, for the 3rd day running. I was very rarely sick with morning sickness during the early days, just nausea, but I'm definitely making up for it now- how annoying!

DustyDoorframes · 16/09/2019 09:57

Good luck @Exitstrategist !!!!! Super exciting!!
Ugh @KnobJockey that sounds grim grim grim, poor you!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/09/2019 10:38

Good luck exit! Babies appearing left right and centre! Maybe we need a list of who is still waiting?

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 16/09/2019 11:18

@KnobJockey sorry to hear you're being sIck. I've had HG so been sick throughout but since going on the anti sickness meds breakfast is definitely the worst time so feel your pain! I'm looking forward to eating without nausea almost as much as meeting the baby 😂

BBell2 · 16/09/2019 13:40

@Dipsy77 congratulations! Good both story! I absolutely love the name Ruby, it's on our list for a middle name (DDs middle is Sienna and I want 2 "red" names).
Good luck today @Exitstrategist!

@IVEgottheDECAF doesn't feel the list of who's still waiting will be very long being end of month/October it feels like we have a lot of lovely babies already.

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/09/2019 14:04

That what i think too bbell i dont feel there are that many left now and we are what about half way through the month!

So. Hands up ladies, who is still waiting for baby?

SJP3 · 16/09/2019 14:09

I am still waiting 🙋🏻‍♀️. Due on Friday. My maybe bloody show hasn't come to anything yet.

DustyDoorframes · 16/09/2019 14:28

KnobJockey · 16/09/2019 14:34

Found you all! Congratulations @Dipsy77 and anyone else I’ve missed Smile.

I’m still waiting - 39+4 today, was so convinced was going to be early. Am a fed up, bored, hormonal cross mess.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 16/09/2019 14:44

@Dipsy77 congratulations! Love the name! Hope you’re both doing well x

@Exitstrategist good luck for today, although you may have already had baby so possibly congratulations too!

@Stroan that’s great to hear that you’re doing so much better since having the baby and that your anxiety has lessened. Fingers crossed it’s the same for me too!

@KnobJockey oh no that’s the last thing you want! Hope the sickness eases off soon.

@challengeyourreality hope the sweep went well and that it works!

@DustyDoorframes definitely start with the bouncing! Im living on my ball at the moment. Also eaten half a pineapple today and going for a curry later! Not that I’m desperate or anything!

Alas sweep didn't get the chance to do it's work as I am not dilated at all so they couldn't do it Sad Can't believe it but that is life, we can't always have the birth we wanted/hoped for. They are planning to place a balloon on Wednesday and then induce by Friday. Gutted.

SJP3 · 16/09/2019 16:10

Sorry to hear that @challengeyourreality. If you do end up being induced it's not all bad! I had a lovely (if long) birth with my first induced on the drip. I hope the balloon works!

Exitstrategist · 16/09/2019 16:23

Baby girl arrived! 7 lbs 8 ozs. Feeding well. She’s a dream!

IVEgottheDECAF · 16/09/2019 16:25

Congrats exit

DustyDoorframes · 16/09/2019 16:32

Hurrah @Exitstrategist ! Brilliant news- and yay for getting straight on it with the feeding, that's half the battle!congratulations!

@challengeyourreality bother re sweep! Hopefully another couple of days will make all the difference.

@decaf I love that you are organising us into a list despite having graduated, thank you!!

We've just heard that DP's mum has a really scary hospital appointment on the other side of the country, when I'm 39+3. It would be really helpful if DP went with her (she's really alone over there, and pretty frail, no other kids), and he could be there and back in about 12 hours. My mum will be staying, both kids will be in school/nursery. I think he should probably go, assuming I'm not actually giving birth/gave birth that night. Is that too mad do you think???

pinkpig381 · 16/09/2019 16:44

Hello everyone, I was on the original posts I think as was quite active on here in my first trimester! Life got in the way and now I'm on maternity leave I'm back to stalking the September babies threads!
Little update on me, due the 25th, consultant would like me to go earlier if possible as baby is looking around 90th/95th centile and is worried about shoulder dystocia (I had this when I was born). Had a stretch and sweep on Friday just gone (38+2) and found I was 2-3cm dilated already (I'm putting this down to constantly bouncing on this birthing ball!) had some bleeding after which stopped by Saturday midday but then had a lot of pink streaked mucous on Sunday and little bits coming out since (still pink streaked), could this be a bloody show?
Getting impatient now as feel so big and uncomfortable! It's been so lovely seeing everyone's posts and staying updated, sorry for the essay 😃
