Hey all!

Looks like we filled up the first thread pretty fast! Took me a while to realise why I couldn't send a message.

This is the first thread I've ever created, so hopefully I've done it right.

I'm going to tag the most recent users that commented, so sorry for a lot of the people that I miss. Hopefully everyone will find this.

@gnat99 yes likely due to bf I reckon.

PrincessConsuela12 · 02/09/2019 14:18

@gnat99 @LokiCat @PurpleViolin Thank you ladies! I was so relieved during the scan I got a bit emotional when she confirmed it was all ok x

PrincessConsuela12 · 02/09/2019 14:19

Sorry @Sunshine8888 Thank you too! Didn't mean to ignore you xx

Ruthsoph · 02/09/2019 14:24

where is the miscarriage stats chart please as i camt find it
Thanks x

poopatroop · 02/09/2019 15:05

@ruthsoph is this the one you're after? datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php?mode=table

Ruthsoph · 02/09/2019 15:10

thank you - how true is this? has made me feel much more relaxed x

gnat99 · 02/09/2019 15:18

@ruthsoph I’ve no idea how reliable it is, but the fact that once you put your own info in, the stats change makes it seem quite believable. I’m not going to question it too much!

@PurpleViolin poor you, with the almost puking! Roll on second trimester. Ta for the BF comment, I’m thinking that must be it.

Sunshine8888 · 02/09/2019 16:51

@gnat99 I’m in two minds about a private scan. On one hand it would be nice to know baby is in right place and has a heartbeat. On the other hand I know things can still go wrong and wonder if it would be even harder to accept if it did having had an early scan! So I think I’ll just try to be patient... it’s going to be a very long 6 weeks or so

Ruthsoph · 02/09/2019 17:29

@Sunshine8888 I thought that too - but I will be 8 weeks this weekend so I think I might book one - otherwise it's another 4 weeks wait - obv things can go wrong - my last to miscarriages didn't go past 6 weeks so the wait is killing me and unlike before I still feel very much pregnant x

ChickenNugget86 · 02/09/2019 17:43

Sorry if this is too much info but is anyone else finding it really difficult to poo? I feel so blocked up and bloated. Feel very constipated and have tummy ache.
I don't want to Google anything as it will probably say I'm dying. When I do finally poo it's very black looking wtf is going on?

Sussexbythesea84 · 02/09/2019 17:51

@Chickennugget86 are you taking any prenatal vitamins? It’s usually the increased amount of iron that’ll block you up

ChickenNugget86 · 02/09/2019 17:58

I'm just taking - 400 Seven Seas Folic Acid

I'm back at work tomorrow - feel constipated and so sick (not throwing up though) think I'm going to have to tell my manager which feels odd as I haven't told anyone. Only me and DH know

ChancePeace · 02/09/2019 18:24

Hope you don’t mind if I join! Desperately wanted 2nd baby on the way here and can’t wait to be far along enough to tell my 4yo DD. She’s obsessed with babies and has been nagging for a brother or sister for agesGrin According to the first day of my last period I’m due April 18th so currently just over 7 weeks gone. Morning sickness has well and truly kicked in, got strong cravings for foods and I’m so exhausted. If it’s going to be anything like my first pregnancy I’ll be throwing up constantly until 20 weeks so it should be funGrin I’ve had a fair few miscarriages though so won’t be settled until my first scan, I hope everything is okay

PurpleViolin · 02/09/2019 19:25

Can I please join the fb group? Is there a link that someone PMs?

Bumbliebee · 02/09/2019 21:54

@PurpleViolin if you pm me a link to your fb profile I can add you to the group. Anyone else who wants to join us also welcome to do the same Smile

Bumbliebee · 02/09/2019 21:55

That should say

to join is also welcome to do the same

Bumbliebee · 02/09/2019 22:02

Sorry name change fail, I did a product test that I registered for in my old username and forgot to switch back after doing the feedback (pregnancy definitely ruins my memory!), I've asked mumsnet if they'd mind updating my posts above to the correct username but in case they don't this is the name I should have posted under, and if you'd like to PM me to join the FB group I'll be happy to add you.

PurpleViolin · 02/09/2019 23:08

Thanks

I bought some plain crackers today to have at work tomorrow. Can't get through the day on no food but all food now makes me so nauseous. Hopefully dry crackers will help.

Does ginger help anyone?

PurpleViolin · 02/09/2019 23:09

@ChancePeace what are you craving? I bought a massive tub of olives today as couldn't stop thinking about them. Then felt too nauseous to eat any

Lblowfield · 03/09/2019 01:42

Hi everyone :)

Hope you don’t me joining, pregnant with our 1st baby due 14/04/20, so 8 weeks today! Have been TTC for over a year so completely overjoyed!! Had an early scan last week, and saw our little bean’s heartbeat which put both our minds at complete rest after worrying!

Anyone else suffer with feeling completely run down and completely nauseated all the time 🤢🤢

Looking forward to sharing this journey with other mums to be 😃😃

GinTonic123 · 03/09/2019 05:50

Good Morning,

do you mind if I join too? Our 4th baby is due on 14/04/20 and was a big surprise for DH and I. There is going to be a 5yr gap between the youngest two children. We are still adjusting to the idea of being a family of six, and having to start all over again.

I have been feeling tired and a little nauseous. I have also developed a aversion to meet.

I had a confirmatory Scan last week and everything is fine. I am not living in the uk so get scans and/or check ups four weeks.

Congratulations and good luck to everyone.

ChancePeace · 03/09/2019 07:42

PurpleViolin crackers are a god send when you’re struggling with morning sickness! I had a smoothie with ginger in it during my last pregnancy that really helped. It was from the juice bar in the Manchester City Centre Debenhams can’t remember what it’s called but a lot of places will do drinks with ginger in. Ginger biscuits/snaps might help too! I’ve been craving ice-y things like slush puppies and ice pops, I think that means I’m low on iron so need to stock up on pregnacare. I don’t know if it can be recognised as a true craving as it’s not one type of food but McDonalds is all I want when I’m pregnant😂 that and any other fatty fast foods like KFC! I could eat it for every meal of the dayBlush

Been up since 5am throwing up stomach acid and struggling to keep any fluids down. Hoping I’ll be better by tomorrow don’t fancy being in hospital with hyperemesis againSad on the plus side, I live in old terraced housing and one of my neighbours has moved out and the other side have gone on holiday so I can rest in peace! They were so loud and antisocial. I did a little happy dance to OH when I realised their car wasn’t outside late last night😂

LokiCat · 03/09/2019 07:59

@Lblowfield @GinTonic123 congratulations and welcome! Glad both of your scans have gone well! I can't wait for mine.

I've been feeling nauseous this morning. Just had a banana and feel like it's about to come back up 🤢

@PurpleViolin I've bought a pack of crackers to keep at work as well! They did help me yesterday.

Have any of you told people at work yet? I keep having to stop myself from blurt out my news 😂
My manager knows, but think I'll wait till my 16 week appointment before sharing with my colleagues!

Tesco's do little shots of juice with ginger in them, really good when I tried one (before I got pregnant). I think Waitrose too.

Sunshine8888 · 03/09/2019 08:18

Aww the sickness sounds horrible ladies, I’m praying it stays away! I just feel really hungry all the time and need to eat constantly - I was quite slim before I fell pregnant but already I’m expanding at the waist line and struggling to fit into my clothes! I caved and took another clear blue digital today. I’m glad I did because it had gone up to 3+ from 2-3 last week. I know it doesn’t mean much but it made me feel better that hormone levels are rising rather than staying still or decreasing. Had to get up twice last night to pee - I already had a weak bladder before pregnancy - now I’m a total nightmare! 🙈
