Hey all!

Looks like we filled up the first thread pretty fast! Took me a while to realise why I couldn't send a message.

This is the first thread I've ever created, so hopefully I've done it right.

I'm going to tag the most recent users that commented, so sorry for a lot of the people that I miss. Hopefully everyone will find this.

@sunshine8888 oh right. I’m not sure. I’ve opted into the screening so measure at back of baby’s neck and blood test but I think that is the standard screening? Isn’t NIPT you pay for and more accurate like the harmony test?

janey15 · 08/10/2019 20:37

Hi ladies, can I join please?

I've avoided committing to anything pregnancy related until now but had our 12 week scan yesterday so beginning to feel more hopeful. We have a long history of infertility, fertility treatment and an early miscarriage so I've found it really hard to relax!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 08/10/2019 20:38

@janey15 congratulations and welcome x

Ruthsoph · 08/10/2019 21:21

@Whatelsecouldibecalled yes it's a more accurate testing than the normal NHS
You have to pay which is most unfair and I paid £400 but my results came back at 1/10000 - I also have my NHS 12 wk scan this Friday so will compare and see how more accurate the harmony was

ChickenNugget86 · 08/10/2019 21:32

Thanks @Passionfruit20 & @Realitysucks

I'm feeling a bit better today about it all. At least I'm getting good care from my local hospital.

My husband did the injection for me tonight it went fine its already made so you just have to take it out the orange cap, release the lock and it's ready. Just took me a few minutes to calm down. Even just seeing a needle makes me feel faint. I think I will struggle doing it myself at the moment.

Ruthsoph · 10/10/2019 08:00

I have my 12 wk scan tomorrow and I will be 12+6. I have already had 2 scans one at 7.5 and one at 10.4 weeks so all should be good but I am so worried - most of my symptoms have stopped - boobs don't hurt anymore, sickness has gone - but I am getting a kinda heavy feeling in the bottom of my vagina? Any at my stage and all symptoms gone also?
Anyone getting the heavy feeling?

Sunshine8888 · 10/10/2019 09:15

@Ruthsoph I have mine tonight and I’m feeling super nervous! Full day of work to get through first 😬 baby was ok at 9 weeks and I have no reason to think anything’s wrong but I’m still full of anxiety! I’m also sure I’m going to be measuring too far behind for the dating scan! I’m only 12 weeks from LMP today and my cycles were messed up after coming off the pill

Ruthsoph · 10/10/2019 13:20

@Sunshine8888 how exciting - you will be fine i am sure - and then all we will have to worry about is what pram to get! xx

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 10/10/2019 17:38

Hope all ok @sunshine8888

Sunshine8888 · 10/10/2019 20:11

All fine thank you 😊 but measuring 10 days behind so couldn’t do the screening, will be called back in about 10 days! Have booked in for the harmony test next weds though x

Sunshine8888 · 10/10/2019 20:11

Also was given a flu jab!

Navy123 · 10/10/2019 20:39

@Sorbfsiabs I have hopefully sent you a pm - could I be added to the Facebook group please? Finally starting to get my head around being pregnant again and want to start getting excited!

Sorbfsiabs · 10/10/2019 20:42

Hi, I replied - I didn't get the option to add you as a friend on FB (maybe to do with privacy settings?) So I've sent you a link to my profile. With it being a secret group, we need to be friends in order for me to add you. You can delete me after :) x

Navy123 · 10/10/2019 20:45

So you have, sorry! That'll teach me to expect the app to show me pms! Have requested, thanks.

Pip231018 · 11/10/2019 08:35

@Ruthsoph I'm 13 weeks today. My boobs hurt a bit much less than before I'm also much less tired than I was, I just feel like I have more energy. I get the stabbing pain in my vagina not really a heaviness. I've read that it's normal though.
I got my scan results through as well and I'm low risk so hoping I am over that hump now.

Sunshine8888 · 11/10/2019 08:42

Hope all goes well today @Ruthsoph

Glad screening results were all good @Pip231018

I’m feeling sorry for myself today, I think that flu jab has made me feel unwell

ejmay90 · 11/10/2019 10:34

Hi all,
Congrats on all the pregnancies!
I'm currently 11+5 as dated from an early scan, i have my 12 week scan booked for 22nd but should be over 13 weeks by then if all still measuring ok.
I had a miscarriage in june and now panicking i'm going to get to 12 weeks and be told bad news! I've had 3 early scans and all be fine and measuring ahead every time.
Any positive words of advice please? :)

morgan158 · 11/10/2019 10:42

Hi everyone, currently 15 weeks with my 1st pregnancy! Just wanted to know if anyone knows when I'll first start feeling any movement?

girlanonymous · 11/10/2019 13:29

@ejmay90 me and you are exactly the same 11+5 today with scan on the 22nd!!!!

I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and only found out at my appointment 12 week scan in 2013.
You've had scans already and baby seems fine so try not to worry. Your scan is a week on Tuesday so just try and keep your mind occupied and it'll come in no time.

@morgan158 with my 1st I didn't feel movement until I was well over 20 weeks. Tbh I think I was between 23 and 25 weeks.

girlanonymous · 11/10/2019 13:30

Really silly question here but just wanna make sure. Is it safe to drink the horlicks drink when pregnant? It's packed with vitamins

ejmay90 · 11/10/2019 13:58

@girlanonymous Oh really? that's amazing!

What times your scan?

My previous miscarriage was at 10 weeks. Yea baby seems all good but still my head wonders :(

Yea trying to keep busy but being at work behind a desk not overly busy doesn't help lol! Thank you!

morgan158 · 11/10/2019 18:44

@girlanonymous thank you! Just so excited to be able to feel something, don't think the whole thing will feel real until then🤩

Ellebell1989 · 11/10/2019 18:52

Hello ladies I would like to join too if that’s ok? I’m 15 weeks today (due 03/04/20) had a little scare as had a very very faint bit of spotting this morning and this evening and it’s scared the life out of me. Has anyone else experienced this before? It’s my first pregnancy so I’m panicked. All my tests have come back fine although I’m high risk as I had a Lletz a couple of years ago and suffer from ulcerative colitis. Any advice would be greatly appreciated X

girlanonymous · 11/10/2019 20:05

@ejmay90 mine's at 11.20. thankfully in the morning. how about yours?

littledinosaurs · 11/10/2019 20:10

@Ellebell1989 I would ring the epu/talk to your midwife. Might be nothing but its best to get it checked out xx
