Hey all!

Looks like we filled up the first thread pretty fast! Took me a while to realise why I couldn't send a message.

This is the first thread I've ever created, so hopefully I've done it right.

I'm going to tag the most recent users that commented, so sorry for a lot of the people that I miss. Hopefully everyone will find this.

@ChancePeace my GP has no involvement at all. Had to self refer to midwife!

littledinosaurs · 11/09/2019 08:44

@ChancePeace you need to call (or fill in a form online) the antenatal unit at your local hospital to self refer. Your GP can do it for you but it's quicker/easier to do it yourself.

Hello all - I've been lurking for a while. I'm 9+4 with number one. Was so nauseous last week but it seems to be easing off a little at the moment. I'm so impatient for my scan and booking in now, particularly as I've not told anyone (apart from DH, oh and the poor Tesco delivery man who asked how I was during horrible nausea - poor bloke Blush). Hope you're all doing well xx

Navy123 · 11/09/2019 10:40

@ChancePeace we just ring the gp and the receptionist books you in with the midwife. They don't really want you to see a doctor as there isn't much point!

Sorbfsiabs · 11/09/2019 17:26

We just speak to the receptionist at the GP and they pass the details onto the midwife - it sounds like it's different everywhere, maybe give GP or Hospital a ring?x

AlmostLondoner · 11/09/2019 19:23

Hi lovely ladies! Has anyone have any bump yet? Or BLUMP (bloated bump)? I look like I am in 8th month!

nicoletia · 11/09/2019 20:38

I agree with @Sorbfsiabs. I got referred by my GP (had to see him first) and was specifically told I couldn't self refer. My friend who has recently found out she is pregnant and lives 5 miles away from me has been referred to a midwife straightaway. I

LG0914 · 12/09/2019 06:25

@AlmostLondoner yes! Pretty sure mines more blump but seems to be constantly like it, before it seemed more noticeable as the day went on, I'm 10+4 and have noticed it a lot more this week.

I had to self refer to the midwife by filling a form out, but everywhere is different so I'd ask your gp reception they will know.

Sunshine8888 · 12/09/2019 08:24

My blump seems to get worse throughout the day! Expanding with food probably 😂

Ruthsoph · 12/09/2019 10:25

I get quite uncomfortable with the bloating - is there anything i can take?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 12/09/2019 12:19

@Ruthsoph peppermint tea

Sunshine8888 · 12/09/2019 13:22

Ladies, I have had a tiny bit more rusty coloured blood today. After having this three times I had an early scan and there was a heartbeat. Sonographer also said she could see no bleeding around the pregnancy and that because I’ve had cervical biopsies in the past and been on the pill this could cause little bleeds. Since that scan I’ve had two more. I’m trying not to worry as it was ok before but I can’t help it. I have my midwife app on Monday. Do you think I should wait and mention it then or do you think I should go to the EPU? It’s only open week day mornings so would have to miss work and go tomorrow if so. What would you suggest? X

Sunshine8888 · 12/09/2019 13:34

I’ve just looked back at my calendar where I’ve been recording symptoms and it seems I’ve had a small bleed every Tuesday and Thursday exactly. How odd!

Ruthsoph · 12/09/2019 13:37

@Sunshine8888 personally i would go tomorrow and get it checked out otherwise i would worry - i know you dont want to keep taking time off work but i would go anyway xxx its probaly nothing but best to put your mind at ease xx

girlanonymous · 12/09/2019 15:12

So just got punched in the stomach by my lovely 3 year old. Lower left side is starting to hurt but may just be mind playing tricks. Booked an early dating scan for Sunday when I should be 8 weeks .

mylifenow27 · 12/09/2019 16:34

Hi! Can I join? I'm a little late to realise as I'm bf my 4 month old and haven't had a period since before she was born!

But a emergency scan showed I'm due around the 5th.

AlmostLondoner · 12/09/2019 16:56

@LG0914 mine looks like bloat, every morning right after toilet it's almost nothing and then I have a sip of water and bump 😊 I am 8w5d today.

elb1504 · 12/09/2019 17:01

@AlmostLondoner Love the name Blump! Mine definitely gets worse in the evening after I've eaten, and at times I feel like I'm having to hide it as it definitely looks like I'm pregnant.

PurpleViolin · 13/09/2019 12:46

How are you today

Ruthsoph · 13/09/2019 12:51

@Sunshine8888 what did you decide to do in the end?xx

Clb1509 · 13/09/2019 12:51

Hi All,

I had a BFP on the 6th August, and was referred for an early scan due to not having had a period since my implant was removed on the 9th July (fell pregnant pretty quickly).

I have been for the dating scan today and to be honest it was very inconclusive.

They identified the Gestational Sac and Yolk Sac... and the notes say Possible Fetal echoes seen with CRL 2.2mm.... I have to go back next week but am now so worried.

Either my dates are out or something is wrong... I thought I was due around 15th April... anyone else had an Early scan?!

Sunshine8888 · 13/09/2019 13:26

@Ruthsoph i haven’t gone to the epu, i just can’t take the time off work atm and at such short notice. I figured if it is anything bad they’re not going to be able to do anything about it anyway. I’ve had no further blood so I’m just going to speak to the midwife on Monday at my app and see what she says. If she tells me to go to the EPU then I will go next week. I still have pregnancy symptoms today, infact the nausea has started which I haven’t been getting so hopefully that’s a good sign. Please keep your fingers crossed for me 🤞🏻

Sunshine8888 · 13/09/2019 13:29

@Clb1509 you may have ovulated a lot later in your cycle so you could be a fair but behind your LMP dates. I had a scan at around 7 weeks but CRL was 4.1mm which suggests I was more around 6 weeks. I did see a heartbeat but I think I was lucky, I know lots of ladies don’t see one until around 7 weeks. Hopefully your next scan will be more successful x

Clb1509 · 13/09/2019 13:59

@Sunshine8888 Thanks for the reply... maybe, my issue was I haven't had a period in some time due to the implant... that was removed on 9th July 2019.

Hopefully will have some positive news next week.

When did you get your BFP?
x

Ruthsoph · 13/09/2019 14:23

@Sunshine8888 yes thats seems sensible - and without sounding mean i am glad you are feeling sick today - good sign xxx

Sunshine8888 · 13/09/2019 15:30

@Clb1509 I found on 26 August. On LMP I’m 8+1 today but realistically think I’m more like 7 weeks due to late ovulation x
