Maybe if you make a nuisance out of yourself they'll think 'oh we might as well get her in so she stops phoning' ....

Dipsy77 · 15/09/2019 10:20

I was in for high blood pressure overnight on Thursday and I did say to them I was worried that it will go sky high again with me waiting around.
My OH is ringing them at 11 he can't stand seeing me like this I can't eat or anything I knew this would happen I should have asked to stay on Friday at least I'd have been there, if they say give it a few more hours I'll be absolutely fine with that I just want to know either way or even a rough idea x

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/09/2019 11:10

Any news dipsy?

Dipsy77 · 15/09/2019 11:20

My OH rung they are extremely busy as usual couldn't give any time said I should have had a call by 5 if they can't get me into induction Ward they will try triage, I'm worried that once it gets to 10pm they will send OH home and I'm scared he will miss something that's my anxiety kicking in and overthinking things x

Megan2018 · 15/09/2019 12:20

Felicity Chloe Margaret, roughly 6lb 10 born at 6.36 this morning after 6hrs active labour. Gas and air and only 3 little stitches, we are so lucky. Will post properly later

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/09/2019 12:20

@Dipsy77 you soon, even though it doesn't seem to feel like it now...

DustyDoorframes · 15/09/2019 14:11

Oooh @Dipsy77 I missed your update- brilliant! V glad you are getting somewhere now.

Puglover88 · 15/09/2019 14:26

@Megan2018 yay you’ve done it! Rest now and enjoy cuddles with your beautiful daughter! So happy for you! xx

That’s great @Dipsy77 hopefully not long for you now! Wishing you a calm labour.

In hospital again at 3am this morning. Really struggling now to the point where I’m panicking if I haven’t felt her move for an hour! They kept me in until this morning and I spoke to consultant (again!) going in every day now until 40 weeks for monitoring when I can have induction if I choose to. I could have one now but I don’t want to force her to come before she’s ready when there’s no real medical reason as the ctgs and scans are always normal. Feel really low though, the consultant and midwife were quite abrupt when I was saying my worries are due to losing our last baby as their viewpoint is that this baby is healthy whereas our last one was so poorly she wouldn’t have survived outside the womb. I understand that but that doesn’t stop me from agonising over other ways things could go wrong! Sorry for the ‘woe is me’ post, I need to try and think more positive!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 15/09/2019 15:56

Congrats @Megan2018 she's gorgeous! And no section needed after all! Hope you're recovering well and enjoying snuggles x

DustyDoorframes · 15/09/2019 16:04

Oh @Puglover88 I'm so sorry you are not feeling like they are taking you seriously! Of course you are anxious! How long to go til 40 weeks? I'm glad they have got you set up for plenty of monitoring. Is your MW any good for reassurance? Although I guess that's what the monitoring is for!

Senners · 15/09/2019 16:12

Hi, I'm so late to the party but please may I join :) ? I'm due 30th September FTM expecting a girl. Currently on maternity leave, achey, nauseous, spd, tired and bored. The usual! These threads have been helping me pass the time and prepare...

Megan2018 · 15/09/2019 16:41

Thanks all, it was quite an experience!!

We have lucked out too as been allowed to stay in the room we have delivered in all day today as postnatal is full! So lovely and peaceful Grin we are awaiting the ok to transfer to our local standalone MLU who will offer BF support. It only has beds and lots of time as very high staff ratios.

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/09/2019 16:49

So happy you got a positive experience Megan!

Dipsy77 · 15/09/2019 16:57

Turns out my cervix is way back tucked behind babies head. They managed to get in and break my waters but ow did it hurt my OH said it looked like something out of countryfile.
They think baby may have had a poo but three not sure I'm going to get a max 2 hours then into drip if nothing then c section but I'm happy with that just glad things moving x

kyles101 · 15/09/2019 17:01

Congrats @Megan2018 !! Sounds like the dream labour! Well done, she's beautiful!!

Best of luck @Dipsy77 hope everything progresses quickly for you.

@Puglover88 it must be awful for you. I don't know what to say, how long do you have to wait to get to 40w?
