I'm 11+1 weeks and still in normal clothes but then again I didn't buy any maternity clothes with my first 2 pregnancies. Obviously there were some things I couldn't wear but most things I could. I have a picture of myself sitting in the garden with my normal jeans on when I was a week over due with my second!

ImMeantToBeWorking · 01/08/2019 15:30

@InOmniaParatus13 could you move your stuff back down and wait until maternity leave starts to go home? Not sure how it will work with hospitals though?? Strange that you're loosing it on your head but gaining it on your arms. I am loosing it on my head too, and mine is not too thick! How did your MW app go?

@S082018 I don't think tags here work like facebook, you don't get a notification about them, I don't think. I have never seen them anyway.

Hi @purplefig how are you? I have been looking at a few bits but nothing bought yet. I am going on holidays soon and with summer sales currently on I want to keep an eye out.

@Marleym28 best of luck for tomorrow!! Flowers

InOmniaParatus13 · 01/08/2019 18:14

@ImMeantToBeWorking that’s a good idea actually, I wonder how the hospital situation would work as I’m in the UK at the moment but I was born and raised in Ireland, and that’s where all my family are! I’ll have to have a chat with the midwife and hospital and see how I would go about transferring!
It’s definitely very strange to be losing hair on my head but having loads on my arms, sorry to hear you’re losing hair too!
My booking appointment went well thank you, took an hour and a half and so many questions haha. The midwife was lovely, gave me so much information and so many leaflets, plus vitamins too. She also said everything is done online now so I just need to download an app to access my notes. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow to get bloods taken, as the midwife couldn’t get any, I have such awkward veins!
I’m also high risk pregnancy due to having a pulmonary embolism (blood clot on the lungs) and 2 genetic blood disorders which caused it. The midwife referred me to the specialist clinic and said I’m 99% likely going to have to back on blood thinning injections, ugh. Also means I can’t give birth in a midwife led unit or have a water birth, also can’t have an epidural either! As long as baby and I are safe though that’s all that matters! I should get a phone call within the next week to get an appointment for my dating scan, fingers crossed! I hope things are a bit better for you now!

I hope everyone else is doing well too 😁

Dweebette · 01/08/2019 20:25

@Marleym28 I think I'm going to have to cave soon too, my trousers button in the morning but by lunch I have to undo them

@InOmniaParatus13 glad your booking app went well, sucks about high risk but at least you know early so you know what to expect

Proud of myself today, finally got back to the gym so got a bit of exercise in after 4 weeks of idleness. It was tough but I feel better for it and hoping it'll help with the hip pain I've had the past few weeks. Counting down to my scan on Tuesday though I'm almost certain they're going to say I'm only 10 and a half weeks instead of 12, I've heard they can make you come back 2 weeks later in that case too which would be horrible as I'm finding it very difficult to hide in work now. Even a male colleague picked up that I've ditched the coffee (can't face it) and a few people have made comments about how much I'm eating (rude!)

InOmniaParatus13 · 02/08/2019 07:22

@Dweebette thank you 😁 you are right, at least I know now instead of nearer to labour!
That’s awesome that you went back to the gym, I hope your scan goes well :)

I’m just getting ready to go to the hospital to get bloods done, ugh fun times!

Good luck to everyone with upcoming scans :)

Pinkcat231 · 02/08/2019 07:47

Hi everyone

I’ve been lurking on this and the previous thread for a while, due 1st Feb, just had first scan and I wasn’t making it all up do here I am!

Good luck for today @Marleym28 Smile I know exactly how you feel...

S082018 · 02/08/2019 10:06

Sorry just catching up this morning as I have a few minutes spare at work!

12 week scan this afternoon eeeek! Good luck to those who have theirs coming up too ❤️

chunk14 · 02/08/2019 11:25

Hi I'm due Feb 12th. Been watching thread for a while but been so ill with hyperemesis only just feel ready to join. Got dating scan next week.

MumbleLumble · 02/08/2019 11:51

@chunk14. I've got HG too so I know how you feel. Absolutely horrendous isn't it? I had to call in sick again today. I've also got my scan next week.

chunk14 · 02/08/2019 12:54

@MumbleLumble its awful isn't it hopefully our symptoms will ease a bit in the second trimester. I hate not being able to enjoy pregnancy.

Marleym28 · 02/08/2019 14:11

@S082018 how did you get on today

S082018 · 02/08/2019 15:12

@Marleym28 My appt is in 20 minutes! Feeling very nervous 🤞🏽

MumbleLumble · 02/08/2019 15:12

@chunk14 is this your first pregnancy? I had it with my first but not my second. Its worse this time round. I've just been signed off work sick by the doctor. It's frustrating how something that's supposed to be so natural, can do this to us.

chunk14 · 02/08/2019 15:25

@MumbleLumble I had it my other pregnancy aswell. It has been even worse this time though. I have been signed off since 5 weeks. I work at the hospital so luckily they are very understanding.

MumbleLumble · 02/08/2019 16:41

At least they are being understanding. I hope it improves for you soon. It really is awful.

S082018 · 02/08/2019 18:14

@Marleym28 my 12 week scan went perfectly today 😊 dated me a little ahead so I am now 12+3 and due 11th Feb! We have a little fidgetbum on our hands. Little one was wiggling around like there's no tomorrow!

InOmniaParatus13 · 02/08/2019 18:36

@S082018 I’m glad everything went well for you! You have the same due date as me 😁

Had bloods done at the hospital today and even went swimming afterwards, aching so badly now!
My midwife said to call her next week if I haven’t had a 12 week scan date as I’m already 12+3 and running out of time for the Nuchal screening test.

Pinkcat231 · 02/08/2019 18:37

Congratulations @S082018 Smile

Doormat247 · 02/08/2019 18:48

Hi, just found this thread and hoping to join.

I'm having to keep this baby a secret due to possible issues so can't say a thing before my scan in a few weeks. Just nice to be able to tell someone I'm pregnant :)
I'm due 25th feb.

Also nice to hear that it's not only me that can't sleep and struggling to eat healthily.

S082018 · 03/08/2019 09:49

@InOmniaParatus13 thank you! How are you feeling? Yes I'd definitely phone up and chase this!

@Pinkcat231 thank you 😊

InOmniaParatus13 · 03/08/2019 12:15

@S082018 you’re welcome! I’m feeling much better today, I’ve had no sickness for 2 days so I’m hoping it may well be shifting at last! How are you feeling? I will give them a call Wednesday if I haven’t heard anything and chase it up 😁

Cupcakes1234 · 03/08/2019 16:06

@Doormat247 hi I'm due the 26th unless it gets changed at my scan on the 13th!

Marleym28 · 03/08/2019 20:55

@S082018 glad it went ok
Mine did too and my due date is 10th (12+4 as of yest)

@InOmniaParatus13 I'm very well thanks. I haven't had any sickness thankfully but just feeling very tired! Wondering when it will pass 😳

@Marleym28 so pleased your scan went welll too 😊 congratulations x

lovesT · 05/08/2019 15:05

I had my scan this morning! Honestly it didn't feel real before today but it's feeling more real now! My husband came with me and it was such an amazing experience, I got a little bit emotional .. I can't stop looking at the photos 😊 the midwife was happy with everything but I have also had the combined blood test, did anyone else have that? Apparently if it's high risk I'll get a call in the next few days and other wise I'll get a letter. Glad that she thought everything looked healthy though, hearing the heartbeat was amazing!

We are telling family later which I'm a bit nervous about but also excited after actually seeing our baby 🥰❤️

I'm also feeling mostly better in myself which is great, yay for second trimester 👍👍 still sore boobs and I was measured for bras the other week and have gone up two sizes 😂

How are you all doing? Anymore scans?

Will post a scan photo later 😊
