BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 03:39

MW coming out and I got DH up hehehe! contraction getting unbearable at times!

Uki · 07/08/2007 03:52

I hope you are not on the kitchen floor then??? was that you who was worried about having baby on kitchen floor?

I imagine being your third she/he will be quick?

I saw your nursery pics last night, what a lucky baby, mine resembles a corner of the room.

Nothing exciting happening here, just lolling about in some winter sun, with ds eating cheese and crackers.

Uki · 07/08/2007 04:04

GOOD LUCK babymad

Probably getting a bit hard to post. but looking forward to hearing about a sweet LO in your arms real soon l

kokeshi · 07/08/2007 04:19

Uki · 07/08/2007 04:27

How exciting to think a baby could be born any second now

BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 04:40

MW said 4cm and paper thin

kokeshi · 07/08/2007 04:43

God you're brave, hats off to you! Don't know if I'll be up still for the end result but will check in again. This is really exciting!

Uki · 07/08/2007 04:47

So maybe not any second, but soon...

Say HI from Australia to the midwives for me

BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 04:49

still here, their getting the G&A soon

kokeshi · 07/08/2007 04:53

Gosh, what time is it is Australia?...not good news if I'm keeping Southern Hemisphere time in Glasgow! Maybe I need to move!

Hope DP/DH is being supportive and the G&A helps. So you're having a home-birth then?

Uki · 07/08/2007 04:57

It's nearly 2pm here, and the winter sun is out.

Home births arn't really possible here, very rare because of legal stuff, i can only dream of being home and comfortable

BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 04:58

Yep HB and my first HB, alittle sh!£ing it

kokeshi · 07/08/2007 05:02

Much nicer than a stark labour suite I imagine. Ok, must get some shut-eye. I'm sure you and baby will be grand BMBG.

Enjoy the winter sun uki, I lived in NSW a few years ago and can only dream about the weather these days

saturn · 07/08/2007 07:01

OMG good luck babymad, or you may well have your LO by now - in which case congratulations would be more appropriate.

Can't wait to hear all about it!!!

bananabump · 07/08/2007 07:21

It's turned into a live birth thread!

Wow, very best of luck, babymad, sorry the rest of us weren't around to keep you company too but looks like these guys did a good job.

Hope you're having a lovely homebirth and it isn't too "ouch" for you! Can't wait to hear about your baby!

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 07/08/2007 07:28

OMG - how exciting!
Treacle- Congratulations on your baby girl!! Glad it all went well!

Babymad - hope things have gone well and you have your baby with you right now !!! -
No news from Annie either -

COME ON BABIES!!!!

growingbagpuss · 07/08/2007 07:29

BabyMad - blimey... typing between contractions.. very dedicated!!! Hope you are all done and dusted, and have your LO by now... enjoy some well earned sleep and we look forward to hearing more soon...

Conkertree - Sorry, I missed out on the congratualtions yeesterday -sounds like it all went smoothly, and no lung clots this time! Well done, glad you are home and snuggly!

Looks like we're averaging 1 day right now....... me me me me!! (I know Conkertree, its you really.......)

bananabump · 07/08/2007 07:40

Still getting contractions here but think I will have another day or "are they/aren't they real ones"

They're painful enough but usually like 15-20 min apart lasting 30 seconds. Still no show or waters, but you never know, maybe the contractions are quietly doing their thing to my cervix.

I'm another one who has the doctors worrying about blood clots. Apparently I have to have injections of clexane (similar to warfarin?) afterwards to stop any clotting. I don't know whether that will mean they will want to keep me in hospital for observation or not after the birth. Might start a thread on it later.

Was lovely last night walking round tesco with dp enthusiastically (at last) testing all the baby toys until we decided on a particularly groovy rattly teether thing for James (trying out the name!) and talking about taking him to feed the ducks when he's a few months old etc.

I think dp is looking forward to him being a real boy instead of a floppy infant, but I spose that's natural! I saw him eyeing up all sorts of fancy lego sets. I can see our livingroom turning into a rolling sea of assorted tiny plastic bricks at some point in the not too distant future. I just wonder if the child will be allowed to play with any of it himself???

stretchmarks · 07/08/2007 07:45

Congratulations Treacletart and good luck babymad.

saturn · 07/08/2007 07:50

lol at your DP eyeing up the lego banana. My DH keeps eyeing up scalextric (sp?). LO will be getting one whether a boy or a girl .

btw love the name James
