Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

Hi all - just wondering if anyone else wears a Fitbit or similar and monitors their resting heart rate? Mine always went up a couple of bpm after I ovulated and did again this month - going from 55/56bpm to 57/58bpm. Then around the time I got my bfp it went to 60bpm and stayed there for a bit. Yesterday it went to 63bpm, and then today to 65bpm (I'm 4+5 today I think). Has anyone else's gone up like this?? I don't remember ever having a resting heart rate over 60 so to be at 65 is very fast for me!

And welcome @mommato3 😀 I also was a slimming world member (reached target about 18 months ago) and have been trying to watch my weight since. I've been floating around 3 lb above my target for the past 6 months trying to shift it (which is why I stopped going to group!), but want to try to avoid gaining too much. I put on weight very easily, and struggle with the will power to shift it. That said, my main vice is wine so now that I can't drink it my calorie intake will be significantly down 😂. Do you know the sw guidance during pregnancy? I think you get more healthy extras?

MunchyMunchkin · 06/07/2019 13:39

@satsumasaturday my Fitbit took an unfortunate dunking on my recent holiday so no data for now. However my hr went from 58-60 to 68-70 during the pregnancy I had earlier this year. My hr going up was s clue I may be pregnant!

SweetChillis · 06/07/2019 14:11

@satsumasaturday I hadn't thought to look at my Fitbit heart heart. Mine averages at 61. It shot up to 68 around ovulation, then slowly went back down to 62. But every since BFP has been rising again, currently at 68 again Smile

mommato3 · 06/07/2019 16:52

I wear a Fitbit. Mines increased from its regular 63bpm to 71 for now. It's been at 71 for about 5 days now. If you google fitbit heart rate and pregnancy it tells you there are some links to to a raised rhr as an early pregnancy sign hence I was checking mine every day haha.

@satsumasaturday Thank you. Yes, I had a mc in Feb and had notified my SW consultant so will be letting her know again and she gave me a chart for my midwife. I also had a look through the leaflets which mentioned about the extra healthy extras too. But thank you for the heads up. I've been a member just over 2 years and lost 2.5 stone although haven't managed to reach target yet 🤦‍♀️

I'm feeling super stupid today. We came to our caravan for the weekend and took the kids to the beach etc. They decided they wanted a go on the bumper cars so we all went on. Only after I got off did it dawn on me it was probably a stupid thing to do, Google'd it and found they absolutely don't recommend it at any point 😟 so now I'm super concerned I may have harmed my little bean 😢 How stupid could I be..... So mad at myself now....

MunchyMunchkin · 06/07/2019 18:31

@mommato3 that little embryo is so well hidden in your pelvis that you could’ve gone on a super fast rollercoaster and still been ok. Please don’t worry!

RoRosmama · 06/07/2019 20:08

Hi everyone! So I know it's super hot weather at the moment but ever since I found out I was pregnant (2.5 weeks ago) my whole body feels SO HOT to touch! My boobs feel like they're on fire. DH says I'm like a hot water bottle to touch. Is this normal? Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
Thanks x

mommato3 · 06/07/2019 20:56

@MunchyMunchkin Thank you. I'm sure you're right but can't help feeling a bit doh!!!

@RoRosmama Yep. OH often tells me I'm like a little hot water bottle! I think it's normal

Mostunexpected · 06/07/2019 21:13

Hi ladies. I was/am on the other march 2020 group and didn't know about this one. Hope you're all doing welk. #2 is due 1st March and I'm super nervous and panicking about anything and everything!

Abi58 · 06/07/2019 22:55

@RoRosmama @mommato3 me too I've been super warm!

@Mostunexpected welcome try to enjoy the experience but if it helps you're definitely not alone worrying

mangobutter · 07/07/2019 09:35

I'm so worried. Worried we can't afford it, worried we're putting ourselves in a precarious situation, worried how we'll cope with two. I'm still wavering to be honest (this was unplanned). But I think a lot of it is natural regardless of your circumstances! I still vividly remember bringing our cot home along with some other toys and bits our friends gave to us when I was pregnant, I was about 14 weeks, and for the first time it really hit home that we were ACTUALLY having a baby and our lives would be changing forever. I have that exact, stomach-sinking, terrified feeling constantly right now, I guess because in part I know what we're letting ourselves in for and in part because even though we've had one, having two is a whole new thing for us. But when I look at DS, who just became part of our lives instantly and who I can't imagine life without, I remember that things always feel scary when they're unknown.

OnePotato2Potato · 07/07/2019 10:34

Hi, I’d like to join please.

Im 31 years old and 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant today, EDD comes up as 10th March. I tested when I was 2 days late and got a strong bfp.

I have 2 DC but I feel anxious about this one. I was so laid back with my other 2, I had hardly any symptoms with them and was younger and carefree. This time I have had some tiredness where I struggled to stay up past 9.30pm and sore boobs. But what has got me worried is pain in my lower right abdomen. It comes and goes throughout the day but more pronounced in the morning. I’m worried it could be ectopic. But then it could be urine infection too or I don't know if it’s normal to experience some abdominal pains. No bleeding though.

I haven’t even registered with my GP/midwife yet, I will call tomorrow but I am thinking to go to a walk in centre tomorrow.

Anyone have experience of similar symptoms?

Hope everyone is getting on well.

Littlelot · 07/07/2019 12:14

Can I join tentatively - feeling nervous as this pregnancy is a result of our first round of ivf so I’m also a bit in shock that it actually worked! Due date is 4th March. Only good thing about having IVF is that I get an early scan at 7weeks so holding on until then before I truly believe it is happening.

sam2012 · 07/07/2019 14:41

Hi there everyone just done test found out we expecting baby no 5 😮 we in total shock. Due date says 6 march x

satsumasaturday · 07/07/2019 17:19

@OnePotato2Potato I haven't had an ectopic but had an early mc last month - when I went to the doc with spotting she was concerned it was ectopic and so push on both sides of my abdomen and asked if it hurt (it didn't). Does yours hurt when you push it?

Welcome @sam2012 and congrats on your 5th! Glad you're around as you must be an expert on being pregnant now ☺️ This is number 1 for me so I have no idea what to expect (and after Mc last month I'm reading into everything far too much and worrying!)

My skin is so bad! I've just washed it for the third time today, it's so oily and I don't think I've had this many spots since I was 13 😳

I went to the shop last night and really fancied some jerky (very not like me) so I bought some. Only to realize on getting home that as it's raw meat I can't eat it, so I've just watched dh happily munch his way through it. It smelled delicious....

sam2012 · 07/07/2019 17:58

Thanks @satsumasaturday for the nice welcome. I'm still in shock lol. Guess I am a pro though so yeah any thing I can help with I will try, mine are all spaced apart one nearly 16 boy. One 14 boy. One 6 boy and my lil lady is 5. Then whatever this one may be x

Rightnow1245 · 07/07/2019 20:35

Welcome to all the newbie 😊😊😊

Mostunexpected also very nervous and can’t relax! I was also like this with my son and told myself to be chilled this time around but NO!! I am a worrier and it’s silly because you can’t control what happens 🤔

Littlelot That good you get to have an early scan! What day you booked In for? I’m thinking of having one too but DH is saying we should just wait!

satsumasaturday I have also been buying stuff that I have then realised I can’t eat! I don’t remember all this from last time 🤣🤣

sam2012 wow Defo have a pro on the March 2020 bus 😊 That good you can get some help from the older ones! My little boy is going to be 2.5 once the baby arrives I hope he takes it well... I am a nanny so he’s always has to share me with other children anyway!! so hopefully that help 😊😊

How is everyone today? I haven’t really got a symptoms yet but I’m only 4.4 weeks so maybe it’s too early! I think the sickness started around 6/7 weeks... I am very bloated and look pregnant already I won’t be able to keep it a secret for long.

OnePotato2Potato · 07/07/2019 21:00

Hi @satsumasaturday
Thanks
It doesn’t hurt when I press down. I noticed it is when I make a sudden movement like from sitting to standing or from lying down to getting up. So I Hope it’s just uterus/ligaments stretching.

I will call my gp tomorrow and go from there.

satsumasaturday · 07/07/2019 22:01

@OnePotato2Potato sounds like maybe it's just everything stretching then. I asked the doctor why she was pushing and she said it was because she was worried it was ectopic but that if it was then the pushing would've hurt. Best to give the doctor a call tomorrow though, just to be sure. Let us know how you get on.

@Rightnow1245 I had also wanted an early scan But dh doesn't see the point. I then showed him some early scan pics and he was just a little confused why we'd pay to see it as it "just looks like a blob" 😂 I guess I just want the reassurance, but at the same time I know he is right... they did look like blobs I suppose

sam2012 · 08/07/2019 07:28

@Rightnow1245 yeah I'm a pro. Lol. I will help all I can. Still in shock over our news lol.

Pikachu1 · 08/07/2019 09:39

Just been sent home from work as my boss gave me a jokey look for carrying a slightly heavy file and I burst into tears. Was retching into the sink and toilet bowl again this morning. Had a rash all up my arms all weekend. Now have lots of cramps. I don't remember any of this from last time when I had a MC. I guess that's a good thing?! Is pregnancy always this hard?!

I feel like I shouldn't moan though as I desperately want this baby and was devastated when I had the MC. Anyone else feel like this?!

Pikachu1 · 08/07/2019 09:42

Also, does anyone know when I should phone the doctors for my booking in appointment? Last time I did it then had to cancel as MC so I don't want to be too quick this time. I'm about 5 1/2 weeks now.

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 08/07/2019 09:53

Yes @Pikachu1 it's horrible isn't it. I'm not being sick luckily but have very low bp so prone to fainting! My heart rate is also through the roof.
It's best to think of these symptoms as being a good sign that there's lots of hormones flying about. Unfortunately it meant nothing with my mc as I still had morning sickness long after the baby was gone, but that was a relatively unusual case (apparently) so best to see them as a good thing. I know feels terrible complaining when we're lucky to be pregnant, but still hard when it's scary and overwhelming and you feel horrendous. The feeling awful should pass by around 12/15 weeks though!

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 08/07/2019 09:55

Also @Pikachu1 I don't know where you're located but usually if you mc in hospital/if they're aware they will usually cancel your booking in appt and scan for you. Booking in should be around 8 weeks - I think in theory they want you to have missed 2 periods

Lozzlepop · 08/07/2019 12:16

Hello ladies, hope you don't mind if I tentatively join? Got a BFP last week after having a MMC in April, managed to surprise DP yesterday for his birthday and we are quietly hopeful. Feeling pretty sick which I've heard is a good thing? Also super hot all of the time which I'm not loving!

Rightnow1245 · 08/07/2019 16:41

OnePotato2Potato How are the pains today! did you speak to your Doctor?

satsumasaturday hahah you’re right they do look like little blobs, we got one last time and it did make me feel a little less anxious about the whole thing!! I think we will wait this time tho, i had to have a few extra scans with my son so don’t think It’s great to keep scanning if it’s not needed! Mine is just at the end of pregnancy as I have some funny blood thing.

Pikachu1 I’ve book mine already but where I live it’s a very long wait for scans so they tell you to see the doctor straight away, I know every area is different tho 🤔

Welcome to the group Lozzlepop sorry to hear about your MC let’s hope this time you have a sticky bean 😊
