Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

Yeah the 2 lines on a stick had lost its appeal in our house.... I've done that many!

Rightnow1245 · 12/07/2019 14:05

threegreensheep I thiink you just have to see how it goes.. I was super lucky that my pregnancy was very easy for me! This time around I don’t think it’s going to be so easy 😬

itscallednickingbentcoppers Welcome to the groups sorry to hear about your MCs FX this time you have a sticky bean 🙏

Kimberlily Also think I have found mangobutter apppetite I cant stop eating it’s the only time I don’t feel sick atm.

caffeinebuzz Welcome to the group and sorry to hear about your MC 😢
let’s hope after your scan you feel less nervous 😊

Ginandgingers92 I did the same thing as you the first time around with DS...but this time around I put a T-shirt saying big brother on DS and gave DS the test and told him to give it to DH.. DH thought I was joking even tho we were TTC 😂

How is everyone feeling today?
Feeling really sick today and having pains on one side 😬 I am seeing the doctor today so might take to her about it

Em6826 · 12/07/2019 18:15

👋 Another tentative joiner. Just got a BFP yesterday (took the ‘wave the two lines at my unsuspecting husband’ approach’)

I’ve only just missed the start of AF so think it’s early days unless I’ve timed it completely wrong. Currently feeling extremely nauseous which is what tipped me off. Crossing fingers!

Ginandgingers92 · 12/07/2019 18:34

Big brother T-shirt is cute! Probably how I will announce to everyone else when the time comes 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Haha glad I wasn't the only one just waving a urine covered stick around 🙈

@Rightnow1245 did you speak to the dr? Xxx

AlaskaWaves · 12/07/2019 18:50

Just going to say hi and hover around for a little while. Very early days and previous MCs mean I'm doing my best not to get carried away. 🤞🏼for a sticky one!

Ginandgingers92 · 12/07/2019 19:33

👶🏼✨🌱👶🏼✨🌱👶🏼✨🌱👶🏼✨🌱👶🏼✨🌱
Sticky bean baby dust for everyone ❤️

I've just had a random nosebleed. Apparently this is to be expected. Well, at least I know something is going on! 🙈

helpasisterout · 12/07/2019 21:05

I'm aprox 5 weeks and don't have my booking appointment until 7th August so can't be exactly sure but now starting to feel more emotional and getting acne type spots on my chest and back.. lovely! Never mind just hoping it means everything is progressing as it should 👍🏼

Whyhaveidonethis · 12/07/2019 21:41

Hello all, can I join? I just got my BFP at 11dpo. Due 22nd March. This will be DC4 if it sticks.

Abi58 · 12/07/2019 21:48

Congratulations to all the new bfps

Anyone riding their nausea feels similar to when you were drunk and lying in bed with the room spinning? 🤢

sam2012 · 13/07/2019 07:31

Morning all, so does anyone have a magic tip for nausea? It was awful last night couldn't sleep, felt sick but couldn't actually be sick . Feeling meh xx

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 07:37

@sam2012 I could do with the myself 😩
A few things I've tried which have helped me but haven't tried any at night.

Sea bands (less than £7 on Amazon)

Ginger (ginger and honey and hot water I have) also tried ginger biscuit but the sweetness doesn't help me even though they used to be one of my fave biscuits)

Eating little and often (maybe couldntry keeping some plain bread or crackers next to your bed and having a nibble if you wake up queasy?)

Mine atm is like after going on a night out when you lie down and feel sick and the world feels like it's spinning 🤢 probably doesn't help that it's warm and I'm a human furnace right now 😩

Also still over 2 weeks later been up in the night with a bad stomach (get it in the day too). I feel like I have a sickness bug (definitely don't) 😩

Have you found anything that helps you?

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 07:38

@Whyhaveidonethis ahhhh didn't see your post! Welcome and huge congratulations so so happy for you!!!

blondie87 · 13/07/2019 07:59

Welcome to all the new BFPs!

Eurgh the nauseous is awful... like an all-day hangover. The tiredness has kicked in too and just feeling so rough. It’s comforting to have a group like this where other people get it! No one at work knows so I’m just trying to get though each day but that’s hard as a teacher!!

satsumasaturday · 13/07/2019 08:12

Morning everyone 😊 welcome to all the new BFPs!! Congratulations 🎉

I had some more very light spotting yesterday and I've got my appetite back so I'm worrying... but equally trying not to iyswim. Im hoping it's just my little blob burrowing in a bit or something. I'm still roasting hot all the time and my rhr is still climbing. I'm getting a fair amount of twinges so far, but I think that due to the combination of constipation and the amount of food I've eaten in the past 36hours BlushNo nausea though, sorry to hear some of you are having a hard time.

Em6826 · 13/07/2019 08:13

It’s like a hangover where I’m constantly on the edge of throwing up if I move too fast but it just stays at that point all day 🤢

sam2012 · 13/07/2019 09:07

@Abi58 ooh I can't stand ginger, yuk. I literally have a cup of milk, polo mints, nibble on digestive biscuits at the moment but hate it, it's the worst you feel sick but can't so there is no release from it. Hope it doesn't last long, I have four other children who need me x

caffeinebuzz · 13/07/2019 09:14

The things that made the biggest difference to me last time around were nibbling on an oat biscuit before getting out of bed in the morning, and then constantly grazing on quite plain food throughout the day. The sea bands were good, and I found salt and vinegar crisps helped when I was traveling as the strong flavor helped to mask the 'aroma' of the underground.

I did eventually end up on anti-sickness tablets at 22 weeks though, and I remember saying to my doctor they were like miracle pills. Not quite there this time yet, but am not going to brave it out for so long if it does get as bad again.

In-laws staying this weekend, think their suspicions were spiked as they asked why we weren't having wine with dinner (they don't drink) and I was so tired I had to go to bed at 9pm. But at least they haven't said anything directly yet.

Wishing everyone a lovely, not too nauseas filled, weekend.

Kimberlily · 13/07/2019 09:18

Girls I'm concerned I'm not feeling sick at all....No food aversions, no strong sense of smell. All I have is tender boobs. Stomach cramps have subsided slightly which is good. I don't know exactly what stage I but think 6 weeks and 3 days. Anyone else feel this way?

melibob · 13/07/2019 09:38

Hi, can I join too? I got my bfp last week after trying for 1 year and 10 months (we had just booked in for tests at a fertility clinic...) this will be my DC2, my DD is going to be 12 in September so a bit of an age gap! When are people planning on telling siblings? I feel like I should wait until 12 weeks but think she might be upset that I’ve kept it from her. Anyway my due date is March 6 and 6+1 weeks today. Congratulations to everyone else 😀

melibob · 13/07/2019 09:43

I’m not feeling much at all @Kimberlily - sometimes I not sure that I’m pregnant until I get to the evening and can’t keep my eyes open past 8pm. I think I read that most women have experienced morning sickness by week 8 but it’s not always common at week 6.

Kimberlily · 13/07/2019 10:01

@melibob Congratulations on your bfp 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 That's amazing news especially after thinking it wasn't going to happen naturally.

I keep giving my boobs a poke to make sure they are still tender 😂 My last pregnancy was horrible, I felt the same as other girls have mentioned with the nausea but this one seems to be easy. Maybe you are right, it's just too early! I suppose I should enjoy it while it lasts! X

AwkwardPaws27 · 13/07/2019 10:20

I'm not putting up an early scan pic as there isn't really anything to see. I'm hoping I got my dates wrong or ovulated twice or something odd like that. There was an empty gestational sac, possibly a yolk sac but so small they couldn't be sure, and a large patch of bleeding next to it. So unless I did conceive later, that's not right for 6w1d.

satsumasaturday · 13/07/2019 10:31

@Kimberlily I'm not nauseous at all, I've had one morning last week where I woke up feeling hungover, and lost my appetite for a few days but it came back with a vengeance on Thursday so think it was just the hot weather. It's strange because I'm pleased I feel fine but at the same time want to feel sick just to reassure myself I'm pregnant!!

@AwkwardPaws27 so sorry you didn't get to see more on your scan. When do you think you ovulated? And when did you DTD? How were you tracking ovulation and how certain were you if ovulation date?

Kimberlily · 13/07/2019 10:35

@satsumasaturday me too!!!! Whereas last pregnancy all I wanted was to feel normal! 😅

@AwkwardPaws27 I'm so sorry to hear you didn't see a heartbeat in your scan. I am in the exact same position. I went for reassurance scan thinking I was 6 weeks exactly and they could only see the sac. Got an apt for the 22nd which was 2 weeks from scan date! I am really nervous but hoping I got my dates mixed up. I hope this is the case for you too! Obviously I have been googling like a crazy woman and it seems the baby grows rapidly between 51/2 and 61/2 weeks! 🤞🏽

AwkwardPaws27 · 13/07/2019 10:35

satsumasaturday I'm sure your questions are meant kindly but I'm giving myself a hard enough time trying to work that stuff out. It's quite personal and things aren't looking good so I'm not going into forensic detail on here.
