Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

satsumasaturday I know it’s reallg hard not to worry but I also had brown discharge with my sons pregnancy and it was totally okay so try not to panic to much 😊 like others have said maybe ask to see the doctor because it’s making you anxious x

Abi58 How you feeling now has the symptoms eased off at all?

mangobutter Hope your little one is okay now! I didn’t even realise they did private scans that early I thought you had to wait until 8 weeks 🤔

Welcome to the newbies 🤗🤗

I will add my scan from DS when I was 8 weeks pregnant as you can see a little more at the time and others might wanna wait a little longer to get there early scan... I know that 2 weeks feels like forever tho 😬😬😬 I don’t think we will get one this time as DH is saying there no point 😡😡
How’s everyone else feeling??

threegreensheep I trained all the way through my pregnancy with my DS and trained 2 days before I had him!! I haven’t trained this time yet because I’m to tired atm but will 100% do it once I feel up to it
Think your right about running after toddler may be enough hahaah

MunchyMunchkin · 11/07/2019 20:46

@threegreensheep absolutely fine to continue training if you feel able. May need adapting as you get more pregnant.

Kimberlily · 11/07/2019 21:12

@mrslaurenbrown This really makes me feel better knowing it's normal. I've had back ache too. I'm guessing it's just our bodies prepping! I have had no sickness either.... I actually want all the symptoms so I know i am having a healthy pregnancy! Hopefully I won't be saying this is 2 weeks time 😅

@threegreensheep I was actually going to ask the same..... i am not a dedicated gymie but do exercise frequently. I wasn't sure if circuit training would be good in first trimester. What exercise do you do? I'm trying to power walk in the morning but the weather in Glasgow this week is terrible and I don't like getting wet! X

satsumasaturday · 11/07/2019 21:30

Thanks everyone for all the reassuring messages. No more brown since earlier, and due to only having eaten half a bread roll all day I actually felt hungry so me and dh went out for dinner which has distracted me for the evening. (It at first made me panic I'd lost my symptom of having no appetite until I realized I'd forgotten to eat anything all day!)

Kimberlily · 11/07/2019 22:15

@satsumasaturday I'm so pleased for you. Fingers crossed it was just a little bit of spotting. X

mrslaurenbrown · 11/07/2019 22:21

@Kimberlily me too! Although I guess all symptoms we are experiencing are normal. I've never been pregnant before so I thought I'd just feel 'more pregnant' but I have heard of people who skip sickness all together.

threegreensheep · 11/07/2019 22:24

@kimberlily at the moment it's boxercise type classes, circuits style. Still done the abs stuff as baby is so far tucked in my uterus right now figure it can't do any harm! I do know all th usual advice (I should do as I'm the one often giving it ha) but it's good to hear personal opinions/what others are doing.

threegreensheep · 11/07/2019 22:27

@Rightnow1245 thanks, good to know. I had great plans to continue working out last time but apart form aquanatal and occasional pilates didn't manage much

mangobutter · 11/07/2019 22:38

I don't do a huge deal of exercise but I do walk a lot, and I feel better so far in this pregnancy than I did last time at this point so am planning on continuing as much as my body will let me! I know walking became painful due to my hips etc from about 16 weeks but I'm hoping it'll be different this time. I lost weight while pregnant last time as I didn't stop/slow down and probably wasn't eating as well as I could have been (mostly due to losing my appetite, as I have done already!).

sam2012 · 12/07/2019 06:39

Morning everyone, just a question does anyone know if you can still take hayfever meds when pregnant? It's been a while and I suffer bad with hayfever but not sure if they safe?

Abi58 · 12/07/2019 07:14

@sam2012 it depends which ones, I looked the other week and all the ones I could see had do not use of pregnant on them. Check yours see what it says if you're struggling I think for can prescribe some safe ones

mrslaurenbrown · 12/07/2019 07:17

@sam2012 you can use the boots barrier spray (it's actually a powder) which I find works quite well. It goes up the nose but does seem to help with eyes etc as well. It's definitely better than nothing in the absence of tablets

satsumasaturday · 12/07/2019 07:27

@sam2012 you can also use beconase which is also a barrier spray, but a liquid - works well. I used that before pregnant as I found that hay fever tablets made me lethargic

sam2012 · 12/07/2019 07:30

@Abi58 @mrslaurenbrown @satsumasaturday thanks all for the info. I hate the sprays but it's better than nothing lol.

MunchyMunchkin · 12/07/2019 08:12

@sam2012 you can use loratidine or piriton safely in pregnancy. Just looked this up yesterday for my sister!

itscallednickingbentcoppers · 12/07/2019 09:11

Hi, tentatively joining after 4 miscarriages in the last year. Not even late yet so not getting my hopes up yet! My DS would love a brother or sister Smile

Kimberlily · 12/07/2019 09:27

@mangobutter I wish I had your problem of loosing my appetite, I think I may have kept mine and also found yours! I'm fine and then all of a sudden starving!

@threegreensheep I think your right, I think it's second trimester we need to stop with abs. 👍🏼 Well done on keeping it up....I'm going to take inspo from you.

@itscallednickingbentcoppers welcome to the chat..... I think a few of us have tentatively joined all hoping for the best! I had no idea so many people suffered from MC. It's doesn't make it any easier but definitely nice to know we are not alone. 😘

caffeinebuzz · 12/07/2019 09:59

I'd like to tentatively join in? Got my BFP yesterday, at 3+5 with lots of strong symptoms (sickness, tiredness, sore boobs, super strong sense of smell). Everything kicked in similarly early during my pregnancy with DD, 3 years ago. Am more nervous this time after an ectopic and an early miscarriage last year, so just trying to hang in and keep life as normal as possible until I can get an early scan in a few weeks and (hopefully!) confirm a heartbeat.

Ginandgingers92 · 12/07/2019 12:38

So, did anyone here tell their other half about their pregnancy in a cute way?

Slightly regretting just waving the stick at my husband from the top of the stairs 😂😂 only slightly better than last time, when I phoned him at work to tell him and he initially though he was in trouble 😂😂

Drops0fJupiter · 12/07/2019 13:15

Ginandgingers92 - mine was much like yours, just thrust the stick in face when he was still half asleep Grin Same as last time, but he did at least believe me this time round.. the first time he said it wasn't positive because the test line wasn't as dark as the control line Hmm I think he believed me after some googling, definitely after using a digital lol

Kimberlily · 12/07/2019 13:23

Nope, nothing cutesy here either. 😂

Abi58 · 12/07/2019 13:24

I wrote it on a mug if that counts 🙈
Last month before the early miscarriage I just showed him the stick 😂
