Megan same here with the heartburn. Up until last week it was just at bedtime, now its starting early afternoon and not going away. It's so awful when you wake up feeling like you're going to throw up!

kyles101 · 14/06/2019 13:51

I get heartburn here too - but mainly if I've eaten crap so back to trying to eat at least half decent food.

Have yet to experience the joys of fanny daggers @IVEgottheDECAF 😂😂😂😂 hope you're feeling better now though?

Although OMG I had such bad constipation the other night I actually thought I was going to die. Or tear something. I was nearly in tears. God knows how childbirth is going to go!!!

Megan2018 · 14/06/2019 14:33

@kyles101
I wouldn’t mind if I’d eaten crap-I’d had salad! It was literally mouthful after mouthful of bile. Hideous 🤢

IVEgottheDECAF · 14/06/2019 14:59

Cucumber gives me heartburn strangely!

easterbuns1 · 14/06/2019 15:49

@Megan2018 I'm the same, I think that's why I'm back throwing up again, and quite violently so. Was the same with the older two and noting seemed to shift it. Was hell last night.

happydays00 · 14/06/2019 16:10

Anyone that claims to blossom and bloom in pregnancy really has no idea how lucky they are do they?! Sorry to hear a few of you are suffering again.

My GTT results were negative - hoorah! Feel relieved, now just hoping the scan on Monday shows maintained or decreased levels of fluid 🤞

I forgot about the fanny daggers / lightening crotch. Oh god! Is that time nearing already??

@kyles101 I have taken to using my daughters potty step to rest my feet on when I need a poo. That and upping my fruit intake seems to have sorted my constipation and piles. Oh the glamour!!!!!! Other than that - lactulose is safe to take in pregnancy and often quite effective at, erm, softening the stool.

Enough poo chat for now - back to staring at Power Point for me!

excitednerves · 14/06/2019 16:19

28 week appointment done and dusted! All good and baby is happy. Blood out, anti D in, feel like a pin cushion!!!

happytobemrsg · 14/06/2019 16:41

Omg my heartburn has been awful this time around. I’m downing so much Gaviscon & waking DH in the night to wind me 😂

kyles101 · 14/06/2019 16:46

@Megan2018 oh no, that's rubbish!! At least I had the treat too!

Loved the 2 second interviewees we had today, reckon I'll soon be able to get my finish date pencilled in!!

Can't believe it's the weekend again!!

kyles101 · 14/06/2019 16:52

@happydays00 pleased your GTT results were negative, got my fingers crossed for Monday for you. I've got my GTT on Thursday. I did see something whilst desperately googling about feet up on a stool (errr) helping. I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like t before. The next day was similar but touch wood, since then I've got back to a bit more roughage in my diet and that seems to have helped. Thanks for the tip on the safe "softener" I might have to get some in just in case of a repeat incident. How long does it take to work?

Whisky2014 · 14/06/2019 16:59

7 weeks/35 days of work left for me!
I'm really not concentrating at work.
My head is really scrambled in general. It feels like I have Alzheimer's but that I'm aware of it Confused

My piles are still bad.
Noticed ankles getting a bit bloaty too

Florencenotflo · 14/06/2019 17:07

Ive had to work from home today. I've got awful back ache and horrendous Brixton hicks. Stronger than I've noticed before. I just feel so uncomfy right now, I don't remember feeling this way with dd until at least 38 weeks. Lots of kicks low down too which nearly make me pee myself each time which is interesting.

I counted that I have 21 days at work left. Finishing on 31st July, due on 27th August. Plus I have a week off at the beginning of July anyway. I can't bloody wait.

Megan2018 · 14/06/2019 17:08

I have 35 working days left too @Whisky2014 but over 9 weeks (as have leave).

Literally counting it down!

TheCraicDealer · 14/06/2019 17:40

DSis packed me off with a pile of neice-me-downs last night. Between a few sale bits and a cheap supermarket set I had seven newborn onesies which I thought might be excessive- now have double that 😂

I've got heartburn pretty bad- fatty/oily/shitty food sets it off for me, sadly. I suppose if you'd had a dressing on the salad it could have triggered it? Mine was so bad in a meeting earlier I had to apologise and pop a ranitidine halfway through.

Stroan · 14/06/2019 17:41

17 days of work left. That's a bit scary!

I was exhausted after.work yesterday and I only work 3 days a week. I honestly have no idea how I worked full time until 37 weeks with DD.

Sat on the floor last night to pack my hospital bag and my hip sort of locked in place. It's been so sore all day, have the physio next Thursday but a little worried it's going to be an ongoing thing. Between that and how big and cumbersome the bump is, I feel like getting to 39 weeks is impossible.

excitednerves · 14/06/2019 17:42

@Whisky2014 7 weeks for me too!!! Eeek!

It’s starting to feel really close!

Whisky2014 · 14/06/2019 17:47

Yeh I think it will fly by. Yikes. Ive no idea whats in store!!

happydays00 · 14/06/2019 18:23

@kyles101 - I think it should work within maybe 12 hours? My DD actually has a t spoon everyday as she suffered horrendously with constipation and touch wood, this has completely fixed it. It was so traumatising to witness though, I really feel for you!!

30 days of work left for me - maybe more if I can last any longer. I'm really, really going to try and get to 36/37 weeks if possible. I work from gone which really helps!

Anyone else suffering with carpal tunnel? I got it at about 37 weeks last time but can feel twinges after doing a lot of computer work 😬

For those with awful acid - you can eat Omeprozole prescribed by the doctor which may help.

happydays00 · 14/06/2019 18:23

I mean you can "eat" Omeprozole, but that was supposed to say "get" 😒

kyles101 · 14/06/2019 18:28

I'm planning 8 weeks but I've still got 2 annual leave days to book too. I've booked to go and look around a nursery near work for the end of August too, it's the one I love the look of, convenient for work, "outstanding" ofsted and a few friends rave about it. When I asked they did say they'd booked their places a year in advance so seemed sensible. But scary! P

Dyra · 14/06/2019 19:11

11 weeks left to go....

And the best part of 3 weeks of that is annual leave. Which puts me at..... 34 or 35 working days (depends on my hours) to go. Eek! Where did all the time go?!

TwittleBee · 14/06/2019 19:38

I've actually only 35 days left of work too! I am shocked, that's gonna zoom past.

We actually have finished painting the lounge though, yay! So now it's only really our bedroom left to do. Although would love to get the wooden flooring laid throughout downstairs before baby but thats not going to happen financially

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 14/06/2019 19:42

My out of office is on! We’re off on Sunday for a week and I can’t bloody wait. Work has totally knackered me out and had a few sleepless nights with DD recently. Here’s to sun, sand, sea, no sciatica 🤞🏻 and a few good novels!

IVEgottheDECAF · 15/06/2019 08:42

Well i havent been in work for 3 weeks anyway! Tbh it feels like longer

Think baby may have turned to either head / bum down! Bump is less wide with large solid lump above belly button! Obv he might not stay there though!

boodles101 · 15/06/2019 09:37

7 weeks left for me too but I have a week annual leave beginning of July and I'm part time so only have 21 actual working days left!!
