Well i dunno if it is weather related / hormone related or man child related but i am irritable as FUCK!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 28/06/2019 18:41

I feel like I’m starting to waddle and my thighs are chafing walking in my dress. Joys!

My parents have bought us tickets to take DD to Legoland tomorrow. Can think of nothing I’d rather do than waddle around in 32degree heat with an irritable toddler!

easterbuns1 · 28/06/2019 18:43

@IVEgottheDECAF my tolerance level has disappeared to about zero. Actually hate everyone. Mainly dp. He's been a selfish prick this week and I am about to lose it big time when he eventually comes in.

Whisky2014 · 28/06/2019 18:48

@TwittleBee hope you're ok. Guess everything is out of your hands now and whatever will be will be but you have passed a milestone and stats are on your side.

Easter my man child has gone for a pint after his after work nap Hmm

Whisky2014 · 28/06/2019 18:49

My ankles are cankles now. I have water retention in them i think? Hate it.

Whisky2014 · 28/06/2019 18:54

Lol @IVEgottheDECAF god that is so annoying.

My husband is out for after work drinks cause his student is leaving. He asked if I wanted to come but I really didn't. Anyhoo I know he was angling for a lift since we work in the same town and I would drive him home. I finish at 1.30 on a Friday so he expected me to hang around until he finished at 4 then head to the pub for the drinks. Err no thanks. So we took 2 cars and he will drive home Grin
My plan worked cause I could not be arse with him being hungover and the weekend being a write off. Now I'll get jobs done around the House :)
I do feel like I have been a bit short tempered with him when he's done nothing wrong really. So ill need to be kind. It's hard when you're so tired and doing all the baby growing and they just carry on as per and also expect you to still be as you were before becoming pregnant. Just not realistic!

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 19:04

Well played Whisky! I havent ever suffered with swelling or water retention so cant help there!

My cheapo dresses i ordered to see me to the end came and i am not keeping any of them they make me look like a fucking circus tent Angry

Whisky2014 · 28/06/2019 19:29

Oh no that's crap. My mum gave me some dresses and one was absolutely awful and when you're already feeling pretty ugly that just doesn't help.

Hope you get some alternatives. Was thinking I need some too but I just can't be added!

Puglover88 · 28/06/2019 19:29

@TwittleBee sending you lots of positive vibes - will be thinking of you. You have good odds though and hopefully baby can hang in there for a little longer.

Had a growth scan today which went well - all measurements were looking good.

Enjoy the wknd everyone, hopefully it’s not too hot! 😩

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 19:34

It doesnt help i am really short. Petite maternity clothes are hard to find and i dont want to pay ££ because this is my last baby!

Karigan195 · 28/06/2019 19:45

Have you tried new look. I’ve got some lovely lightweight summer tunic dresses for £5 each.

I have a stinking cold. What can you take apart from paracetamol?

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 20:00

Not much i am afraid! Lots of fluids. Honey and lemon. Paracetamol! I use the kids calpol plug in if my nose is blocked its brilliant.

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 20:00

I havent tried newlook for dresses, going near one in just over a week so will have a look then!

ShowerTheHorse · 28/06/2019 20:01

Oh I feel the same with my DP.

Baby has been up in my ribs lately even confirmed by scan and I've been feeling breathless for a few days now. Last night I was brushing my teeth (after climbing the stairs to bathroom) and he actually asked me why I am breathing "so loud." Because I've got a baby in my mother effing ribs!! Prick!

He also went for a pint after work and he's just home I want to kill him but I'm going for a bath instead.

BBell2 · 28/06/2019 20:07

@Beeseeinya £150 for a private room, it's worth double that! My 36hr stay in a shared ward was bloody awful, no sleep from my arrival post birth Friday morning 4am (having laboured and been awake since 6am wednesday) till I left late Saturday.

@HEFebery welcome!

@twittlebee I thought of you today. I really feel for you.

Who ever is talking headwetting- my OH had a weekend away with our first not long after she was born. I hated him for it. There has been repeat murmurings that started with a night out, but flights were mentioned! He is in my brothers stag do now in Prague, can get knotted if he thinks theres another trip for him in 2019!

boodles101 · 28/06/2019 20:14

My DH had a head wetting thing last time but his family and friends are at the other end of the country, so we planned a trip there to introduce DS etc. He is fully aware we won't be doing that this time. There's no way I want to be taking 2 newborns and a toddler on a 7+ hour drive just so he can go for a piss up with his mates! Thankfully he hasn't made any noise about it.

TheCraicDealer · 28/06/2019 20:23

Auch I don't mind the idea of him going away. They're a good bunch of guys and he doesn't get to see them much since he moved here with work and then met me. He's in the forces so I'm used to him being away one or two nights a month at least anyway- obviously it'll be different with a bloody baby as well, but it should be grand. I used to volunteer to take newborn/v small DNeice overnight when he was on tour for the company.

However I would not be as chill about him going away if he saw them every weekend in the pub normally. That's taking the piss!

kyles101 · 28/06/2019 21:12

@BBell2 My man child is on a stag in a few weeks - Benidorm- the bride wouldn't let them go anywhere more adventures lol!! Yours had a weekend away for headwetting?? No. I'm angry for you!!

@boodles101 yours appears to be on the path to well trained. Good work.

I don't mind nights out or time away at all, it's just if he dares utter that it's in honour of the baby or other such nonsense he will be "forked"!

@TwittleBee hope everything is ok, kept everything crossed all day for you

TwittleBee · 28/06/2019 22:46

Just an update that a C-section delivery is looking likely tonight as baby is showing signs of distress and I'm regularly contracting

DustyDoorframes · 28/06/2019 23:04

Oh @TwittleBee!!!!! Thank you for updating- we are all thinking of you. I can't imagine how you must be feeling- you are on such a rollercoaster.
I hope they've moved you/your neighbour!!!! Sitting opposite ms sensitivity would finish me off in your shoes.

Stroan · 28/06/2019 23:06

Good luck Twittlebee, thinking of you both and keeping everything crossed X
