good luck twittle, thinking of you x

kyles101 · 27/06/2019 17:00

@TwittleBee the stories from the other ladies are so encouraging, and 80% is fabulous especially as everything else looks so good size wise etc. Your buba is just too impatient to meet everyone!

Farmmama · 27/06/2019 17:59

@TwittleBee sorry to hear tour waters broke early (mine broke at 33 weeks and it is scary). There was a baby in NICU with us whose mummy’s waters broke at 28 weeks and they managed to keep him in safely until birth at 34 weeks, so hopefully you will be fine. The hospital will be amazing, and once the baby is born he or she will have the absolute best care. If you need someone to talk to about a perm baby/ NICU stay etc just let me know. Sending you all the best xx

Cheekychimp1 · 27/06/2019 19:18

I haven’t been on here for months. Just caught up on the last few days. Big hugs twittlebee. X

Whisky2014 · 27/06/2019 19:50

Hope You are ok twittleFlowers

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 20:03

I'm doing okay, staying positive and have seen like a million doctors today. Staying in again over night and they'll be coming up with the best action plan for us. It does look like I'll be going home tomorrow afternoon though if my contractions stay off! 🤞

One thing that's really pissing me off though is the woman in the bed opposite me at 35 weeks who is demanding to be induced. Don't get me wrong, I understand that She may have concerns or maybe is struggling mentally or physically with pregnancy but her baby is still premature and seems like madness she is trying to be induced. The MW told me she has been coming in every day for past 2 weeks claiming everything she can that requires an investigation and possible induction but all tests and monitoring come back negative to what she is saying is going on but they can't outright say she is lying in case she isn't... since I've come on with broken waters she has now claimed hers have gone, which included her pissing the bed.... obviously came back it was urine which she denied? Just seems crazy that surely she and her family have overheard the doctors saying they're hoping I'll be going home with confirmed broken waters and irregular contractions yet she thinks they'll make her stay in and should induce her already?

Sorry for that rant, it just feels a bit disrespectful right now.

How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 20:05

(She also does that typical thing of only contracting when a medical professional comes to see her... currently She has been on the phone to her best mate for 45 minutes without a single one....)

DustyDoorframes · 27/06/2019 20:12

Argh Twittle I can see how upsetting that must be! I guess the thing to remember is that she's most likely not at all healthy mentally, and her symptoms of that are ... err ... challenging...
Your head must be spinning, so much to take in- and you must have been through several different shifts with slightly different takes now too!
Hmm maybe you just need to get on the phone to ward off contractions, clearly works for your neighbour Hmm

Puglover88 · 27/06/2019 20:18

@TwittleBee big hugs, let’s hope your little one holds on for a bit longer! But at least the scan has showed that baby is a good weight and healthy xx

Lavellan · 27/06/2019 20:22

It must be a rule with hospital stays that you get at least one nutter to share a room with. As scary as it is, I'd rather be at home doing my own monitoring too. Hope it works out.

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/06/2019 20:33

Jesus i think i might have stabbed her with a fork by now Blush

When i had dc1 the woman in the bed facing me winded her baby constantly all night. All i heard was her patting its back. Pat pat pat pat pat pat pat pat pat. She nearly got forked.

Beeseeinya · 27/06/2019 20:34

Just caught up, sending you my best thoughts twittlebee! Ergh shared hospital wards. Don't people have any dignity?!

boodles101 · 27/06/2019 20:36

Fingers crossed you can go home tomorrow and rest up twittle. Try not to let the woman opposite annoy you, hoping she doesn't stay on her phone all night and keep you awake! There's always one of those on the wards too!

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 20:52

Bloomin hope I can go home as the woman now has her phone on loud speaker.... I'm so tired!

OP posts:
Stroan · 27/06/2019 20:55

Argh! Shared wards are so tough and annoying when you are there for rest! She sounds like a nightmare.

Puglover88 · 27/06/2019 20:59

@IVEgottheDECAF ‘nearly got forked’ 😂😂

@TwittleBee god that’s annoying! Could you get someone to bring you earplugs if you’re staying?

kyles101 · 27/06/2019 21:11

On loudspeaker? She wet the bed?? Seriously? Some people are unbelievable. Like actually cretins. And they can procreate 🤷‍♀️

Beeseeinya · 27/06/2019 22:01

I can get a private room for £150 a night after the birth... you lot are making it sound seriously tempting. I'm not very tolerant of other people in a public setting Blush I'm worried I will spend the entire time tense and angry! I had dismissed the idea think I might feel all alone in a room though.

TheCraicDealer · 27/06/2019 22:17

This is why I'm bringing ear plugs and an eye mask with me- once the eye mask is on everyone else can get to fuck.

That's wild though, there's got to be some MH issues at play there.

Colleague's DD was brought in to get induced on Tuesday at 8am. They did the pessary that morning which didn't have any effect, then said they were too busy to start the next stage so just....left her! Until this afternoon! Forty eight hours listening to other women in labour, would be enough to send you over the edge.

TwittleBee · 27/06/2019 22:20

I've got war plugs in btw, clearly need better ones as I could the whole episode of love island she then played on loud.

Certainly pay that £150 Beeseeinya !!

On the monitor now, it's picking up my cramps so uterus I clearly irritated. Think they wanna do a speculum afterwards

OP posts:
easterbuns1 · 27/06/2019 22:44

Some folk are just so bloody inconsiderate you doesn't sound as if she's a full shilling but love island was on past 10 tonight the mw should be telling her to keep it down if she's still being a pain in the arse. I hope you manage to get some rest tonight twittle.

TwittleBee · 28/06/2019 05:47

Feel like this thread has become the TwittleBee show 🙄 sorry!

Had 2 lots of 1.5 hours sleep as I'm contracting but doctor said it doesn't seem like labour just my uterus being pissed off with no fluid. Absolutely knackered but feel so hyper alert too, very odd.

How's everyone else on here? 3rd trimester sleep can be pretty rough

OP posts:
boodles101 · 28/06/2019 06:46

Don't be sorry at all twittle we are all wishing you well and you can moan/vent as much as you need to us. We are all here to support.
I actually had quite a decent sleep last night for once. Fingers crossed but my DS seems to be back to sleeping again and my heartburn has settled down. So other than the odd wee and taking 10mins to turn over in bed, I feel quite refreshed today. We are off to centre parcs next week for a nice little family break. Originally supposed to go to Lanzarote but had to cancel due to twins, but I'm actually quite glad now with this heat wave. Not sure I would have coped very well in 40degrees!

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 07:04

My back is so sore. I feel all bent.

Glad to see you still hanging in there twittle!

I have been enioying the nicer weather, not really been out in it but the sun through the window atleast motivates me to do things. Did loads and loads and loads of laundry yesterday which was needed as there was a big back log!
