Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

Those pics are amazing! I've managed to see my belly move now but generally all my movements are so low down - last midwife appt he was laying across me. Got another Thursday so hoping he's moving in the right direction!

I won't finish til Fri 13th Dec if all is well so that gives me 2 weeks off. Before then I have a nativity to run with 90 four year olds! 🙈

StephRae · 09/10/2019 18:04

I mostly feel her moving right up in my ribs 😩 think she likes it up there sadly for me! I’m pretty sure she’s not head down but I’ll know for sure at my next appointment. I just found out my sister is expecting so although I’ll give birth quite a bit before her it’s nice to know we’ll be pregnant together for a while! I’m the eldest child so this’ll be my first niece/nephew on my side of the family as well.

bespokepaininthearse · 09/10/2019 20:41

I had my 28 week midwife appointment today and apparently my bump is measuring big, they have put me in for an emergency scan tomorrow, anyone else had anything like this? What was the outcome? They haven't mentioned anything about a glucose test so I don't k ow if they will suggest it afterward if baby is too big in the scan

VeryNewToAllThis · 10/10/2019 20:54

@bespokepaininthearse
My bump was measuring 3cm ahead at 27 weeks and they said they'd monitor it, and send for a scan next time if it was still big.

Ended up having another measurement yesterday (after ending up in hospital after a mini car crash) and she measured it 3cm behind my line (6cm less than the previous measurement).

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that they're notoriously unreliable measurements. But the more scans the better, right?

Nervousdave · 10/10/2019 22:37

@December2019 I have anterior placenta too and get the majority of movements right up behind my ribs now, ouch!
@Jowd92 not been told by midwife, but hes been head down for a few weeks now as I've had his bum sticking right up under my ribs, can push it away though, feels very strange! This was confirmed by the sonographer at a growth scan (i was a little worried I had been pushing his face not bum 🤭)

bobble53 · 12/10/2019 17:39

What’s everyone buying their OH for christmas? It’s our first baby and I want something from baby to daddy but no idea what!

NapsAndTea · 12/10/2019 19:30

@bobble53 no idea! Baby's due just after Christmas & don't want to spend too much as we'll be trying to save money - although husband always goes a step further 🙈 for his birthday I got a book about being a dad from the baby x

StephRae · 12/10/2019 23:11

I wasn’t planning on getting my partner anything from the baby but that’s such a sweet idea. I’m just getting him a watch as of right now. Had a midwife appointment today and when she measured my bump I was measuring at 33 weeks 😩 (I’ll be 29 weeks tomorrow) I have a scan on Monday to make sure everything is okay. Big babies run in the family so we’re hoping it’s just that and nothing we should be concerned about. Anyone have any advice?

StephRae · 12/10/2019 23:16

Little miss is indeed head down now though, she’s currently sticking her bum out as well 😂 She’s so active now which can actually be uncomfortable but I do cherish every movement! I’m praying she’s okay, can’t help but to be worried!

bespokepaininthearse · 12/10/2019 23:56

@StephRae great pic! This is exactly what I had this week, my 28 week midwife app I measured at 32 weeks and was referred for an emergency scan on Friday, baby is absolutely fine and is plotting on the 50th centile, baby is lying sideways so they said it's difficult to get an accurate bump measurement if baby isn't in the right position! Hopefully yours is a similar situation!

Crimearino · 13/10/2019 00:00

Hi ladies! Currently 31+6 and baby is still breach position unfortunately. Anyone elses baby breach currently? I'm worried he won't turn.

StephRae · 13/10/2019 01:09

My cousin’s baby was breech up until 36 weeks so I would worry too much at 31 weeks, best of luck to you!

December2019 · 13/10/2019 07:14

Hey lovelies & bumps I had my 4D scan yesterday not bad pictures considering my placenta is anterior... he looks so much like his big brother 😊

Aneley · 13/10/2019 07:17

At the growth scan my little girl measured big - 1560g (3.3lbs) but they think it is because my husband (and his brother) were really large babies too because my blood sugars are normal. Her head is down and low and her tush is pushing up my ribs making it a bit difficult to breathe, especially when I am walking. I found it funny that she was in a sort of a downward dog position at the scan. She keeps wriggling so I really hope she doesn't turn again. Did you start washing the baby clothes? I got everything ready just can't decide whether its too early to wash her little things and pack the bag.

VeryNewToAllThis · 13/10/2019 09:36

I've washed things as I've bought them but am yet to pack the hospital bag.
That said, ended up in hospital this week following a small car crash... it's made me realise it's probably not a bad idea to pack it this week ( Im 30 weeks now ) just in case!
At what point do people plan on putting the car seat in their car?

December2019 · 13/10/2019 10:05

I'm gonna wallpaper the nursery today and maybe put a few of my baby bits in the wash & make a start, no harm in starting to pack your hospital bags just incase, I had the start of preeclampsia last pregnancy and I was in & out of hospital from around 34-35 weeks so I always had it by the front door and took it with me every time lol
The last thing I need is my OH bringing stuff that I don't need because I didn't pack 😂
I went in for a minor op a couple of years ago and didn't pack a bag and he went to Tesco and got me a pack of thongs 🤪 it was a laparoscopy so my stomach was really tender.. ohh and a pack of men's work socks out of the bottom of his bag he takes to work....size 1000000 brilliant! I'm only a size 4

Funnybunnyfluff · 13/10/2019 10:14

@December2019

Thanks for sharing your scan pic 😁 lovely.

Lol love your husband, what a sexy look things with massive socks on 😂.

Iv not washed any yet, but now Iv started NCT it makes it all very real. Well get started.

December2019 · 13/10/2019 10:27

@Funnybunnyfluff he's an absolute toolbox!!
It's starting to feel very real for me too now I've seen his little face on the scan yesterday lol I've woke up in panic mode! 😂

NapsAndTea · 14/10/2019 19:19

I've washed stuff that other people have given us second hand and will wash newborn stuff in the half term I think.

I want to put the car seat in as it's taking up space in my living room and it's exciting 🙈

Think I'll start packing a bag in the half term as well!

xTinkerbell · 14/10/2019 19:28

We had another scan today because bub had extra fluid on his/her kidney at 20 week scan. All looking perfect now though :)

Funnybunnyfluff · 14/10/2019 20:29

Iv got another scan booked for next Thursday that's the 3rd one in 6 weeks 🙈! Consultant booked it but she said every 4 weeks. To check growth but seems a lot to me 🤷‍♀️

Jowd92 · 15/10/2019 05:52

Funnybunnyfluff · 15/10/2019 18:30

@Jowd92

Had mine yesterday, had one last year so know what to expect it's like the whooping cough makes ur arm ache. I was a fool and said do it in my left arm, then realised that's the side I'm sleeping on 🙈.
