Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

@TTc2019BabyNo1 my last pregnancy my mum bought me the silver cross Chelsea travel system and it was about £900 in the sale and to be honest it's been worth it's weight in gold it's done me proud, but i wasn't expecting to fall pregnant so quickly after having him so now I'm looking at the iCandy peach double and I'm going to go second hand this time... as soon as my little boy turned 6 months his pram got full of crumbs, suncream (doesn't come off by the way) and sometimes sick lol
But with it being your first baby I can totally understand you wanting everything new... I know I did 😂

RLI1105 · 08/09/2019 18:04

@TTc2019BabyNo1 I have bought my travel system second hand - it's a Silvercross pioneer with all the bells and whistles. Retails for £1200 and I got it for £300! It looks brand new, had only been used for one baby and the woman kept all the packaging, guarantees and receipts.
Obviously i've not used it loads but I've taken my niece out in it and it's great!
I would say bide your time and maybe look at a few but their are complete bargains to be had out there 😊

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 08/09/2019 19:53

Thanks all! I think i’ll go back to the beginning and choose some of the cheaper travel systems to go and test out. But i’ll still keep an eye out for deals on the two I like.
My problem is that I have nowhere near me to test prams really, everything has closed near where I live so have to do a day trip somewhere as I can’t risk buying one I haven’t tried out.
Thanks all :)!! When’s Black Friday.... 🤔?

Morning everyone hope everyone Is feeling okay? So i had my midwife appointment this morning and my usual midwife was off so had a stand in one the appointment felt very rushed checked urine, blood pressure and baby heartbeat but she didnt measure my bump but last time I saw my midwife at 16 weeks she said I would be measured from this appointment currently 24+2 had anyone had there appointment and was measured? She also gave me my bloods form and said get them done at 28 weeks and then booked me an appointment for 4 weeks time again and that was it??

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 10/09/2019 12:31

@Jowd92 my 24 week one was really short too, she did measure my bump and blood pressure but no baby/heartbeat check.
Yes I’ve got another midwife appt at 28 weeks and will book in for bloods that day too, so same as you were told.
I love their their very sophisticated method of checking your baby is growing correctly - measure the bump... surely everyone’s is different?

Jowd92 · 10/09/2019 12:48

I'm under consultant also who said I should be measured from this appointment today I tried to tell midwife but she didnt wanna know also questioned why I have so many scans guess I'll just wait until next appointment and see what happens then

peasando · 10/09/2019 13:49

I had my bump measured at my 24 wk appointment but she did say it's not very accurate and it just gives them an idea.

jpaws · 10/09/2019 16:47

I didn't have bump measured at that appointment, was told it will be at my 28 wk one which is booked next week. Interested to find out whether we're measuring normal, small or big - although will definitely be taking it with a pinch of salt!

Jowd92 · 10/09/2019 19:01

I dont understand them I looked in my notes and for my previous my first son was the 32 centile then my daughter was 42 centile and then my son who has just turned 1 his was only the 11th centile I dont get what it all means

Funnybunnyfluff · 10/09/2019 19:57

My midwife also said from 28weeks is bump measuring.

As u say what that really means ... who knows... I can tell them I'm fat lol

starflake · 11/09/2019 17:30

Anybody having tailbone pain? I'm 25 weeks & the last few days I've noticed pain in my tailbone area when I go to move from lying position to sitting! Say in the bath or in bed. Don't remember having this in my last pregnancies! It's very uncomfortable

Nervousdave · 11/09/2019 22:17

@December2019 thank you! I will have a look now 😊 I'm just so bored of buying online then they turn out to be see-through and I've lost £4 postage each time cos they dont refund it!

December2019 · 13/09/2019 07:08

I had my whooping cough and flu jab yesterday and today I've woken feeling like I've been hit by a bus 😩 my 9 month old isn't likely to let me stay in bed either 😂

How is everyone? I'm loving this change in weather

hewie · 13/09/2019 12:14

25 weeks and so exhausted 😩 tired just doesn’t cut it!! I am totally, mentally and physically exhausted, have a very well behaved 19 month old, 7 yr old and a 12 yr old and the last week the cooking, cleaning, school runs etc etc etc is just too much! Anyone else feel like this at the moment and what’s the miracle cure! Work from home so thankfully I can put work on the back burner (although have no income when I do!) just feel so so bleurgh xxxx

Nervousdave · 13/09/2019 22:34

@hewie bless you, I'm knackered and I have no children running around! Early nights and lots of snacks are helping me, I'm starving all the time! x

NapsAndTea · 14/09/2019 15:07

@hewie I'm back teaching year R ... forget how tiring this first week is normally let alone at 25 weeks pregnant haha!

jpaws · 14/09/2019 21:43

Had my flu vac today so that’s that crossed off the list and the whooping cough vac done too. Trying to get my head round everything that needs to be done and I feel like I’m running out of time, which seems silly as have 12 1/2 weeks to go yet! So excited to meet my LO yet don’t like to think about the labour part haha. Anyone else really excited yet anxious too? I keep telling myself I only have 9 weeks left to work too.

Jowd92 · 15/09/2019 11:45

A question for anyone who has had the gtt I cant find my leaflet on it and I cant remember what time I have to fast from tonight as I have my gtt appointment in the morning am I right in thinking its 7 oclock tonight I can't gave anything to eat or drink after??

MsSquiz · 15/09/2019 11:50

I had my gtt last week. I had to fast from 10pm the night before - although I was allowed plain water.

As an aside, definitely take a boon or headphones for the 2 hour wait! It was so tedious! (I forgot my headphone so couldn't listen to the audio book as planned!)

jpaws · 15/09/2019 13:11

Yeah 10pm night before and allowed water ☺️

Jowd92 · 15/09/2019 15:09

Oh is it really 10 that doesn't seem too bad then I have my appointment at 9 20 in the morning I really thought the midwife said nothing after 7 or 8 on the night before and I'm guessing I wont have time to read a book or listen to music as I will have my 13 month old with me hopefully his going to have his morning nap while I'm there so doesn't seem too long for him not looking forward to it I remember the horrible taste of it from last time

Nervousdave · 16/09/2019 01:23

I had my gtt last week, felt really sick during, then felt dizzy and headachy (and still sick) even after I'd had lunch. Ruined my entire day as didnt feel good enough to go into work 🤢

Jowd92 · 16/09/2019 11:45

Well just had it done I feel sick and have an head ache too she said it's from all the sugar but glad its over and done with now

Funnybunnyfluff · 16/09/2019 18:14

Oh the joy 🙈 I have mine next week.

Hope I feel better soon.

Jowd92 · 16/09/2019 18:39
