Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

I'm 24 weeks + 5 and really been feeling her move about in the past couple of weeks. I was away on holiday so it made it even more special when my husband was able to feel her eventually, she really is so active.

I went to see the midwife yesterday and I was tested for diabetes so fingers crossed nothing will come of that. Apart from that though baby is well and I am measuring 23 weeks, the placenta is at the back hence why I can feel her a lot. My husband heard her little heart beat for the first time yesterday which was lovely, it was very fast at first but slowed down a bit so the midwife wasn't too concerned.

I hope everyone else is feeling ok, I am apart from a bit of carpel tunnel in my hands.

Jowd92 · 29/08/2019 09:05

Well after saying how worried I was with my movement so far this morning my little boy has definitely made him self known my belly seems to be going crazy I think he maybe likes the music as I have been cleaning and had the radio on Haha 😊💙

Comps83 · 29/08/2019 16:19

Eugh heartburn!

Jellybeans101 · 29/08/2019 16:58

Does anyone else feel super huge now? Heartburn hurts and I’m carrying an Olympic gymnast! All this baby does is move Grin
Obviously I wouldn’t change a thing!
Roll on December... Halo

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 29/08/2019 18:23

@Jowd92 yay!! Glad you got some movement!! :)!! What music does he like?? 😃

@KatieMurr that’s so lovely your OH got to hear the heartbeat, did he go to your midwife appt with you?

Lol @Jellybeans101 yes I feel the same, she’s so active all the time! Shouldn’t complain but I wonder why... 🤔!

I got the all clear on my cervix length today so no longer need to be monitored which is good and means I get to use the birth centre 👍!!

How is everyone? When is everyone off on mat leave?

Jowd92 · 29/08/2019 18:55

I dont exactly know what the song was it was on the radio a new song I believe a bit upbeat one lol, has anyone ever had a water birth what are they like?

NapsAndTea · 29/08/2019 21:13

@TTc2019BabyNo1 I'm hoping to hang on until 13/12 and I'm due 27/12.

I'll see how I get on as I'm a teacher with littlies but want to stay until the Nativity is over lol!

KatieMurr · 30/08/2019 11:01

@TTc2019BabyNo1 he did come to the midwife appt as he wanted to hear her heartbeat as he missed out the last time I went.

Re mat leave I have filled in the online form on our HR portal and asked to be off from the 2nd Dec with my due date being the 15th Dec.

What about you?

AuntieJuice · 30/08/2019 19:38

I've booked off from 22nd November, due 16 Dec so giving myself a good three weeks clear of due date for chilling out. Have a full on job so expecting to be flat our until I go off, though I'm starting to feel the tiredness at 24+4...

Husband felt baby move a couple of times in the last week though, so that's nice -though first time I was asleep and he forgot to tell me!! 😁

Jellybeans101 · 30/08/2019 20:53

I’m on a ‘see how I feel’ basis with work on the Mat leave front 😀 I wanna have as long as I can off with bubs when he/she arrives!

Comps83 · 31/08/2019 19:45

Eugh just got my letter saying I need the anti-d injection . Anyone else?
I’ve still not had the whooping cough injection. It hasn’t been mentioned to me yet

Funnybunnyfluff · 01/09/2019 01:05

@Comps83 yes have to have anti D injection 🙈

Whooping cough was last Friday and midwife will tell me on Friday when my Anti D is. What blood group are u? I'm A negative hubby is O positive.

Also have to have the syrup for gestational diabetes as my bro is type1 diabetic 🙈.

I have said thanks mum for the blood group and thanks bro lol.

Iv has the anti D injection twice last year when I had a MMC it's not nice had it in the arm & Bum think I might opt for the bum again less painful more flubber 😁

December2019 · 01/09/2019 04:16

@Comps83 yeah I have to have one too, also A negative, I think I have mine booked for around the 26 week mark, I have to have my whooping cough jab too and flu jab... I'm going to look like a 2nd hand dartboard by the time I have this little squishy boy

Jowd92 · 01/09/2019 07:13

@Funnybunnyfluff I also have to go for the gtt for diabetes as my mom has it and also my partners dad does too I had it last time with my son and drinking that drink after fasting all night and waiting 2 hours was torture I think I have mine in 2 weeks time

jpaws · 01/09/2019 07:35

I had my GTT on Thursday and didn’t think the orange drink was bad at all 🙈 seen my results on my online notes yesterday and thankfully there’s no signs of diabetes 🥳
My whooping cough vac is booked for Tuesday and I’m going to ask about tetanus as a colleague who is pregnant had to have hers as it was out of date and I have a sneaky suspicion mine will be also.

peasando · 01/09/2019 07:55

I'm having the anti d at my next midwife appointment which I think is the week after next. Had my whooping cough jab already - wasn't very nice and my arm hurt for about a week afterwards!

They mentioned at my booking in that I'd have to have the gestational diabetes test because my dad has type 1 diabetes but it was a different midwife I saw then, and my usual midwife hasn't said anything about it. I'm wondering whether to just stay quiet - I never had one with DS (and my dad was diabetic then too!)

Comps83 · 01/09/2019 08:38

I’m A- too
Not sure what DH is
Last time I had jabs I had horrendous flu type symptoms afterward and it felt like I’d been punched in both arms by Mike Tyson, one of those may have been tetanus I think

Funnybunnyfluff · 01/09/2019 09:08

The whooping cough one felt like that for me. Injection itself is fine but the ache on my arm for a few days afterward. Will book my flu jab this week.

Anyone else have under active thyroid? Having to go for regular blood tests and to see the consultant?

I also suffer With whitecoat syndrome and blood pressure rockets going to hospital so I need to have ECG for 24hrs to check I'm just a numpty 😂

peasando · 01/09/2019 09:32

@Funnybunnyfluff yes me too (thyroid). They put my dose up automatically when I found out I was pregnant but every test I've had since then has said I'm on too much, so they've been steadily decreasing the dose and I'm actually now on less than i was before I got preg!

Funnybunnyfluff · 01/09/2019 09:55

@peasando oh that's interesting I was on 125 then blood test put me in 150 and it's stayed consistent so far.

They tell you you will have regularly scans from 28 weeks as it can affect the babies weight?

Are you deemed a high risk pregnancy as they told me I am.

peasando · 01/09/2019 12:14

I was on 300 before, went up to 325 (!) and now trying 250, getting tested again on Tues. I am high risk and do have additional scans but that's because I'm consultant led after a history of recurrent miscarriages, not sure if I would have had that anyway because of my thyroid.

peasando · 01/09/2019 12:15

Btw miscarriages weren't anything to do with my thyroid as far as we know!

December2019 · 03/09/2019 07:40

It's starting to feel a little bit cooler where I live! It's making things seem very close and Christmassy lol I'm soooo exited!
Anyone got any food craving yet?
Mines fruit cake 😂

December2019 · 03/09/2019 07:41

Ohh and sciatica pain?
Urgh! I'm suffering with it!

@peasando I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriages hun 😘

peasando · 03/09/2019 08:50

Thanks @December2019. It was a long journey but I have my beautiful little boy now and my little girl on the way so I am lucky really! xx
