Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

Yes! Waking lots in the night, either on my back or just incredibly uncomfortable. I hve been getting a fair few aches which is unusual for me and not much fun on broken sleep!

Jowd92 · 20/08/2019 19:34

I'm 21 weeks +2 Is anyone else still worried about movement I'm still only feeling light movement and still low down i really thought it would be stronger by now and higher up?

NapsAndTea · 20/08/2019 19:37

@Jowd92 I'm 21+4 and movements are also very low! Still quite light most the time too - get the odd good one but they're not through the day. I notice it when I sit or lay in the evenings or when I get to bed then if I roll over when I first wake up.

I know he's wiggly as the scan showed that and I think it's just a matter of time 🤞🏼

Jowd92 · 20/08/2019 19:54

@NapsAndTea oh I'm glad its not just me it's been really playing on my mind yes at my scan she said he was very active took her awhile to get measurement because of this so fingers crossed movement becomes more frequent and stronger soon🤞

NapsAndTea · 20/08/2019 20:10

Funnily after typing that my cat was laid purring loudly on me and the baby gave it a good few strong kicks. Maybe I'll record that sound and play it to my belly to see if it makes him do it more haha 🙈😂

peasando · 20/08/2019 20:15

@Jowd92 I'm 23 weeks now and getting some strong high kicks but they were all v low down until about a week ago (possibly even later). I was googling exactly the same thing but I think it's normal! I had an anterior placenta with my first so this is totally different for me this time round.

Jowd92 · 20/08/2019 20:24

@napsandtea aww that's great news you enjoy! @peasando at my 20 week scan she said I had posterior placenta but that it was low lying but it should move as this is towards the back I'm guessing this shouldn't affect my movements?

peasando · 20/08/2019 21:18

@Jowd92 no it shouldn't I don't think! I bet within the next week or so you'll be getting movements higher up 😃

jpaws · 20/08/2019 21:25

I’m 23+6 and still mainly having movements low down. I’ve had the odd one about belly button height but that’s it. I’m feeling them more often though so I’m not worried.

Funnybunnyfluff · 20/08/2019 22:07

Just bought Icandy Peach pram...
Eek it's getting real now 😁

StephRae · 21/08/2019 21:52

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well. I haven’t been on here much due to doing several night shifts.

StephRae · 21/08/2019 21:55

Have a couple days off now though which I’m using to buy some baby stuff!

spannerintheneck · 21/08/2019 23:03

I am looking at the maxi cosi cabriofix car seat which will buy brand new but I was thinking of getting the easy fix base second hand, does anyone know how long from manufacture they are designed to last? Google shows conflicting info of 5-10 years 😳

Funnybunnyfluff · 22/08/2019 09:25

I'm not sure how long exactly but we bought the pebble plus car seat will last us about a year I believe but the base will last us a lot longer for the next car seat. So I believe the same. I'm sure it's the same base.

We managed to get the cosi and base £289 on
www.kiddies-kingdom.com/132_maxi-cosi

Being delivered today.

Will just have to buy the car seat when baby frowns out of it 😁

Hope that helps

Has anyone been getting any pain at the top of their bump? I'm sure it's just the baby getting into an awkward position but a few times over the last week I've had quite sharp stabbing pains, especially when I've been doing a lot of walking. Not sure if it's worth calling my me about, I've got another appointment in a couple of weeks so wonder if I should just mention it then.

peasando · 22/08/2019 14:41

My midwife, not my 'me'!

starflake · 22/08/2019 16:28

@peasando I sometimes get it, on the top of my bump or at the bottom, the bottom actually hurts more than the top for me! Normally it's after I've been on my feet too long! Or driving too long

VeryNewToAllThis · 22/08/2019 16:29

Oh glad you've said that @peasando as I've had similar sharp stabbing pain at the top of my bump and was going to mention it to my MW in a couple of weeks! Glad it's not just me!

peasando · 22/08/2019 17:51

I'm thinking she's just jabbing into my ribs - it was agony today when I nipped out for lunch but settled down again after I'd sat back down at my desk for a few minutes so she must have moved. Ah the joys!

starflake · 22/08/2019 19:42

Anybody getting Braxton Hicks? I'm getting them the last few weeks but they are already really sore! Just back from a walk with the dogs & we actually had to stop the pain took my breath away! This is pregnancy number 4 & don't remember having them this early or as painful as this in others!

NapsAndTea · 22/08/2019 22:42

@starflake oh gosh! That doesn't sound fun 🙈

Jowd92 · 23/08/2019 10:16
