Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

Well scan went well with a very active baby so took ages for the sonographer to get all the measurement but we have a very healthy little boy who wasnt afraid to show he was certainly a boy she said haha!💙

Jowd92 · 15/08/2019 11:38

@Jowd92 congratulations! Another boy for the group 💚👶🏻

Funnybunnyfluff · 15/08/2019 12:42

@Notrobusta thank you for that information

@Jowd92 congratulations 😁

Jowd92 · 15/08/2019 12:45

Thank you so happy 😊 anyone else had a posterior placenta but low lying one tho she said as my uterus and baby grows upwards it should move but they will check it at my next scan to make sure

Funnybunnyfluff · 15/08/2019 13:38

I'm still concerned about my marginal umbilical cord Insection and the midwife didn't even know what that was.
When the babies cord attaches 2cm from the edge of the placenta instead of the middle. It can move and become dangerous. She pretty much said it shouldn't be a problem but when I looked it up it says it should be monitored closely.

I have a meeting with my consultant on Wednesday so will being it up then as my DH was not impressed with her palming us off. 🙈

jpaws · 15/08/2019 13:38

Congratulations @jowd92 😊 I have a posterior placenta but not low lying one.

Jowd92 · 15/08/2019 13:43

I just hope it does move from low lying she said with time it should I still have a few scans left which they will check it at each one the thought of a c section petrifies me I've had 3 normal deliveries all with stitches and only ever had gas n air as the thought of the epidural and stuff scares me

starflake · 15/08/2019 15:05

@Jowd92 I have full coverage placenta pervia, which is low lying but mine is completely over birth canal. Because mine is full coverage it has little chance of moving so I'll be brought into hospital about 35 weeks for bedrest till I get a section at 39 weeks. If I bleed at all I've to go straight in. My 22 week scan is Monday so I'm hoping it will have moved by then, if not I've an extra 2 scans at 28 weeks & then 32 weeks to see if it has moved.

Jowd92 · 15/08/2019 15:11

@starflake fingers crossed for you hopefully it might have moved when I had scan this morning she didnt say if it was covering just said It was low lying and i have scans booked for 28 weeks then 30 33 36 38 so she said hopefully with baby growing and uterus it should move upwards but will find out on my next scan

hewie · 15/08/2019 22:58

Hey everyone, I’m new here, anyone else due on the 22nd December? Xx

Funnybunnyfluff · 16/08/2019 03:37

19th for me so very close and welcome @hewie 😁

Aneley · 16/08/2019 11:09

December 22 here,@hewie :) Do you know if you're expecting a boy or a girl?

hewie · 16/08/2019 11:41

Having another girl, I have a boy and two girls (one girl with hubby, 18 mths) and OH has two boys so she will round it off nicely, have a sub chorionic haematoma so it’s been a scary one so far! Xx

Aneley · 16/08/2019 12:15

Oh, I am expecting a girl too (our first). How exciting!
I am sorry about the haematoma - it must have made it very difficult to cope emotionally with all the pregnancy changes. I can relate to that - we have been TTC for 6y (IVFs in the past), only to conceive completely spontaneously after we already almost gave up - so I've been scared pretty much since the day I had my BFP. Starting to relax a bit now that I can feel her move. Do you have to rest? How do you feel otherwise?

Jowd92 · 16/08/2019 17:24

Anyone's else's bumps seem to have appeared from no where I had the realisation today that I can no longer zip up my coat Haha! Just about to look online for a maternity one now no look with any nice ones yet

jpaws · 17/08/2019 06:40

I can’t zip my coats either now ... bit of an issue in the rain yesterday haha 😆

Jowd92 · 17/08/2019 08:29

Haha glad I'm not alone yes it was an issue in the rain I had just the front of my top very wet 🤣

Funnybunnyfluff · 17/08/2019 08:39

Oh gees we are going to have to get new coats lol 🙈

Anyone else having issues sleeping I'm awake from maybe 2-4am I sleep before and after but I keep waking up wide awake

starflake · 17/08/2019 09:25

@Funnybunnyfluff yes! I'm going to bed extremely tired & as soon as I hit the pillow, bam I'm wide awake! Hate the no sleeping stage, hoping it doesn't last long... Going on now about a week with me

jpaws · 18/08/2019 04:45

I’ve woke up now, wide awake but know I’ll regret it later. I keep finding myself on my back as well which is frustrating me 😒

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 18/08/2019 13:23

Hi All,

I’ve see this thread for a while but thought it was a bit too late to join, then realised we still have 4/5 months to go so I hope you don’t mind me joining?
I’m expecting a girl on Christmas Day. It’s our first and i’m a little overwhelmed by everything we have to buy so thought I would join and see if anyone’s bought anything yet and has any recommendations?

Good luck with all your pregnancies! 😊

NapsAndTea · 18/08/2019 15:06

Welcome and congratulations @TTc2019BabyNo1!

I've been picking up clothes in the sales (mothercare mostly) and have got quite a bit now. Picked up a Tommy Tippee bottle maker too - one of those instant things. It was in the sale - planning on the boob and bottle combined. Also got a steriliser in the sale!
