Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

@Peasando - I like Charlotte too. Why does it matter it is popular - it is popular for a reason, because it is such a beautiful name :) Besides, I believe that every little girl will make it unique in the way she'll carry the name and with all the temperament and character uniqueness she'll hold.

We have always loved name Sophie for a girl so I think we're pretty much set, too :)

Anyone else had an awful weekend? I felt so nervous and restless all weekend that I admire DH for staying married come Monday. Also slept awfully - got dreamgenii to start practicing sleeping on my left (since I am one of those who'd rather sleep on their stomach or back) but kept waking up every hour or so.

December2019 · 24/06/2019 10:54

@Aneley I love most popular names.. it's why I've got an Oliver ha! I chose it because I love the name and it's timeless
Yeah I'm struggling to sleep to be honest I'm waking every hour it's so annoying when my little one is starting to finally sleep through the night and it's me up all the time instead 😂
I'm soooo grumpy with my OH
And hungry! Ohh god the hunger is back.. I'm rummaging round in the fridge/cupboards every 5 mins lol

Aneley · 24/06/2019 11:00

@December2019 - it is actually rather comforting to know that I'm not the only one struggling with sleep and nerves these days (though I am very sorry you're suffering too - I know first hand how unpleasant it is). I was starting to worry that something was wrong, therefore - I was having these weird symptoms.

Also, the sickness seems to be back with a vengeance since mid-last week. I don't think I kept down a single full meal. This morning, once I got to my office, I actually had to sprint to bathroom to make it in time, full 2h after breakfast. I am seriously looking forward to that promised second-trimester glow.

TDLO · 24/06/2019 18:31

@Aneley, just had to google dreamgenii as hadn't heard of those. Can I ask, how do they encourage left side sleeping? I always sleep on my right, which I know they say is "ok" but left is preferred. I'm really struggling to make the switch. OH doesn't get it, he says just sleep on your left as if it's as easy as that 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Hope everyone is keeping well. I was at a Jack and Jill market at the weekend and bought a "Santa's little helper" outfit. Too cute not too. Just became real that the baby will most likely be here by Christmas time! (Everything crosses I don't go far past the 19th)

NapsAndTea · 24/06/2019 19:25

Anyone else feeling awful atm?! I just feel so weak and dizzy and kind of sicky - not felt this bad yet so not sure if it's just random or if it is pregnancy related.

But in other news I just bought the cutest baby slippers from M&S 😍

Funnybunnyfluff · 24/06/2019 22:45

I saw lovely items today but bought nothing.

Don't I will buy until 20 week scan, not sure if I'm just mad lol.

I'm feeling great now I can't believe next week is 4 months already!!!

Hope everyone starts to feel better 😁

NapsAndTea · 25/06/2019 07:35

I've given into bacon rolls at McDonald's... pregnancy is making me the worst vegetarian 🙈

Mamabear12 · 25/06/2019 07:43

Lol. I forgot about McDonald’s for a few weeks and then last night was thinking of getting the sausage egg McMuffin. Yum! Will get it at some point this week!

Yeah @NapsAndTea I'm not feeling this brilliant second trimester feeling yet. Hoping it kicks in soon. Feel a bit dizzy/woozy in general, not enough to worry me if you know what I mean. And constant headaches too.

@Funnybunnyfluff I wasn't intending on buying anything but I couldn't resist x

Aneley · 25/06/2019 09:42

@TDLO - I don't think dreamgenii does anything different than other pregnancy/feeding pillows out there - I picked it just because I don't think DH would fit into our bed if I had a bigger one :)
Its function is to provide support to the growing belly, help you sleep on the side by providing comfort and by providing resistance from the back if you try to turn (that is why they have such shape). Finally, from what I hear that can be useful for feeding purposes once little ones are here. In all honesty, still not sure how effective they are - I mean, yes, I stay on my left for most of the night but then I do wake up every 2h and struggle to go back to sleep. I just don't know if I am struggling because of the pillow or is it another pregnancy perk.

Just joining this!
Baby boy due Boxing Day! 😀

MileyWiley · 25/06/2019 16:34

Can I join please? 13 week scan today and now have a Edd if 29-12-19. Hopefully a vbac after planned section last time Smile

NapsAndTea · 25/06/2019 18:44

@TDLO I'm with you on the woozy!

TDLO · 25/06/2019 18:58

@Aneley thanks for that, it sounds really good, I'll give it a try. For my eye in a couple on eBay. Anything to try and encourage me to sleep the right way. I'm struggling x

TDLO · 25/06/2019 18:59

@NapsAndTea I'm wondering if I should get my blood pressure checked. Felt a bit dizzy when I left work tonight and then when I got to the train station, know that way you're not quite sure if the ground is solid or not, that sensation only for a few seconds, but I'm sure it's just another joyful symptom lol x

Comps83 · 25/06/2019 19:06

I was just thinking today that I have no idea what they tested me for at the booking in appt
They took 4 samples of blood
Anyone know?

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 20:08

@Comps83 they will be testing for anti bodies, vitamin deficiencies, all the nasties like HIV etc, and they also need to find out your blood group

Mamabear12 · 27/06/2019 17:37

How is everyone feeling? I am still feeling sick in the afternoons..but can't complain as its not too bad. Its just frustrating not to feel my best. I want to be outside enjoying the park w the kids and dog, but I have to go home after an hour as too much activity in afternoon doesn't help. Tomorrow I see the midwife. I am 15 weeks, but its supposed to be my 16 week appt. I guess they just want to see you around the time so doesn't matter if I am a week early to go. I hope I get to listen to the heart beat. Sometimes I wonder if I can feel her. Or sometimes I worry like if something is wrong etc. I guess this is normal until you can feel movement etc. Ive got a tiny bump, but everyone is like wow your so small for third baby. Hope she is growing well. I am hoping this time around I get a 7lb baby! My last two were only 6lbs. The second was slightly less then the first.

Feeling big and sluggish, 14 weeks and already gained 2.5 kilos, super tired still. Luckily no more nausea. Can't wait for it to be over already! But reallyyyy can't wait to hold my son in my arms 💙

peasando · 27/06/2019 18:08

Suddenly feeling very pregnant today! I've been feeling quite a lot of fluttering, can't lie on my tummy any more and boobs are killing me (they have been fine for the last few weeks!) I was supposed to have midwife appointment next week but mw is away so it's been put back 2 weeks - I'll be 18 weeks then, anyone know if that's likely to be a problem? I can't remember what happens at the 16 week appointment.

Comps83 · 27/06/2019 18:17

I’m still feeling fine
But I haven’t felt any movement and DH keeps saying he thinks I should be bigger by now

peasando · 27/06/2019 18:20

@Comps83 with my first I didn't feel any movement until about 19-20 weeks I don't think. We're still really early to feel anything at the moment xx

RLI1105 · 27/06/2019 18:24

Is anyone else's nausea getting worse?!
14+2 and since 12 weeks I have been absolutely rough as rats. I'm only sick every other day and can keep food down so I suppose it could be worse but I just feel terrible. 🤢

NapsAndTea · 27/06/2019 18:25

I'm meant to be keeping it a secret from the parents and children at work (teacher!) but it's getting harder and harder as it's looking less like pies and more like a little bump. For the first baby I thought I'd take a lot longer to show! X

jpaws · 27/06/2019 21:46

I heard babies heart beat today 😍 it was so lovely and I wasn’t expecting to be seen by MW as went for DR appt so was totally unprepared for it.
I feel so far everything is going well touch wood as I’m just getting a stuffy nose & struggling to sleep really.
