Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

My son will be 15months I'm definitely having a double I will have a look at that one

MerlinsBeard87 · 20/06/2019 10:34

Just checking back in to this thread. Just had my 12 week scan and sat in waiting room waiting for blood test. They've moved my due date to 28th December but I will hopefully get my elcs some time the week before.
My hospital only does elcs on Tuesdays and Fridays, which means I might get offered December 24th or 27th I suppose? What would you go for? 24th would be nice but I'd be in hospital on Xmas day which would ruin xmas for my two older boys. I may not get a choice anyway.
Sadly only got a rubbish scan photo as it wasn't staying still so I can't make a guess on nub theory. A girl would be nice after 2 boys but I have a feeling we only make boys!

peasando · 20/06/2019 11:13

How's everyone feeling? Is anyone still feeling sick? I thought my sickness had pretty much passed but it is back today with a vengeance, I'm feeling terrible 🤢 I'm 14+2 now, really thought it would have gone by now 🙁

loie · 20/06/2019 11:16

@peasando oh no!

My nausea goes from 1-100 when I haven't ate enough (which is 10x more than usual), I just have to keep snacking and drinking water 24/7 or else I'll get a massive bout of unbearable nausea.
I'm 12+5!

loie · 20/06/2019 11:17

Has everyone told everyone yet? We're still keeping it under wraps apart from DM and a couple of friends, DP still hasn't told his family!

Funnybunnyfluff · 20/06/2019 13:31

I have not been to bad but yesterday I was really sick in the morning and I'm 14weeks today.

I have now told everyone 😁

Mamabear12 · 20/06/2019 16:04

We had the iCandy peach double buggy when my two were younger. My sister has the bugaboo side by side. If I had to buy a double again I would buy the bugaboo side by side because its easier as sometimes one doesn't want to be in the under one. Also, easier to manage the baby in bugaboo, then when they are under for the iCandy double.

Have told everyone also. Everyone has known from about 5 weeks! Couldn't hold it in. Went to docs yesterday for routine bloods & he surprised me by asking did I want to hear heartbeat with the Doppler, nearly cried when I heard the heartbeat racing away.
Temps next week are to rise significantly, I'm in Ireland & giving it to be nearly 30. Dreading it already and I love the sun

VeryNewToAllThis · 20/06/2019 21:16

@Mamabear12 can you see the nub in this one? Had my scan today and desperate to know the gender! Not quite sure what I'm looking for! 😂

Mamabear12 · 20/06/2019 21:28

What I think is the nub looks like a girl, but a little hard to tell, as it also looks like it’s every so slightly a little more up so could be boy. Not very helpful I know! Lol. Some are more obvious. Like my friends nub photo I could see clearly a boy as the angle was def more up. And w my photos it was clear. For my son it wasn’t captured on photo, but we asked the sonographer to show us the nub and my husband and I both thought straight away it’s a boy bc it’s pointing up!!

Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind if I join :)

I'm 13+5 and 12w scan (which we had last week on Thursday) puts my EDD to December 22, which is only a day later than LMP date.
After the major scare of 'high risk' combined test, our Harmony results came yesterday - our baby is low risk on all syndromes and its a GIRL :)

December2019 · 21/06/2019 11:45

@Aneley hey there!
Your due the day before me!
Congratulations on your little girl 😘

Mamabear12 · 21/06/2019 11:49

Aneley welcome and great news regarding the harmony test results! And congrats on your little girl :)

@VeryNewToAllThis gorgeous scan... I'm not great with nubs but does look like a little girly to me 😍

Aneley · 21/06/2019 15:49

Thanks December and Mamabear - it was quite a relief. She is our little miracle as we thought we'd never have children. :) DH is out of his mind with happiness - he always wanted a little girl.

How are you all doing with symptoms now that we're in second trimester?

peasando · 21/06/2019 16:02

Congrats @Aneley, that's wonderful.

I'm feeling a bit better today but the sickness still seems to be coming and going! I think it's harder this time round because I'm knackered from looking after my 2 year old as well!

Has anyone started thinking about names yet? The only one DH and I can agree on so far is Charlotte but I'm worried it might be a bit too popular... Confused

Inthesky42 · 21/06/2019 16:32

Hey guys I'm 15 weeks now but I can't resist posting my 12 week scan too.. Anyone want to have a guess at the gender?

Christmas babies part 2
VeryNewToAllThis · 21/06/2019 16:33

Thanks for looking @December2019 and @Mamabear12! Can't wait to find out what it is! Will feel so much better referring to it as a he or she rather than an it!

I've got a full on chesty mucus cough and a rotten cold at the minute! Not easy when I can't take a lot for it! 🤧

Anyone got any experience of cysts? They found one on my scan yesterday. Sonographer said it might not be anything to worry about and they'd just look for it again at the 20week scan but by the time I got back to reception they'd booked me in to see a specialist in July! Not sure what they are / what to expect!

December2019 · 21/06/2019 17:05

@Inthesky42 I'm gonna say girl 😍 total guess though haha!

Mamabear12 · 21/06/2019 18:14

VeryNewToAllThis I have a cyst as well and its fine, as long as it starts to shrink. They worry if he does not shrink in case it bursts, but apparently its normal. They just monitor it.

I’m also confused about the nub theory. Does mine even have a visible nub?

Anyone else looking forward to when their bump is a clear bump and not just looking like a big food baby?!

Mamabear12 · 22/06/2019 17:52

Comps83 I don't see a nub in the pic. They don't always show up in pics. You have to ask the songrapher.

I look forward to being a little bigger and to feeling baby daily. Sometimes I wonder am I growing? Is she growing? Its more reassuring when I can feel her.

Today I am feeling awful with lack of sleep. Muscles are fatigue, head hurts...been busy all day so now I can finally lie down I am EXHAUSTED. But don't want to close my eyes to sleep until at least 9pm. I want to get a good nights sleep. I am really hoping I can get a good night sleep.

OP posts:
GrannyClanger · 23/06/2019 18:14

@Mamabear12 hope you do get a good nights sleep! I’ve been feeling much better, but had a bit of nausea today. Went to Mothercare today to look at prams, but they didn’t have the main 2 we want to look at! My DH now really wants to find out the sex of the baby, I still want a surprise! He just wants to buy all the cute outfits Grin

Mamabear12 · 23/06/2019 22:18

GrannyClanger yes, I got better sleep last night :) and lol regarding your dh. I am surprised he is interested in the outfits. My dh has never been interested, so I select and buy all the baby clothes (now clothing for my two dc). He might buy them the odd shirt or dress when he is abroad. But when it comes to the kids, his fashion sense is non existent. He once took my daughter out to a fun fair in a shirt and white tights!!!! These tights are meant to go under a dress! He has put them in clothes inside out, backwards etc. Its a wonder he manages to dress himself normally. I just don't get it, when it comes to kids he does not seem to notice when things are backwards etc.
