Crikey. I'm mega-early, but did a Clearblue early detection test today and here I am! Hopefully some more folk will join me soon.
Second baby for me, already have DS who is 4. Feel like I've forgotten everything tho!
Eeeeeeek!

Hi and congrats everyone... I think I posted on a Feb thread in pregnancy but not in here... EDD 8th Feb. I’ve been pregnant twice before but lost them both (MMC at 10 weeks in July, MC at 7 weeks in Jan). Got to say I’m feeling deeply unpregnant right now so not terribly optimistic. Sounds like there are lots of worriers on this thread though so I shall consider myself in good company :)

ronniemipperton Hoping all these wee babies are sticky 💕 So hard not to worry 😕

@ronniemipperton, congratulations and welcome 😊 I’m so sorry for your previous losses, it must be impossible to relax with that history but fingers crossed this one is your baby Flowers

Hi all, can I join the bus? Got my BFP yesterday, the day my period was due, but had suspected I was pregnant for about a week as I was feeling very emotional! My due date based on my period is 12th February, so I'm only 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant 🙈 I'm 32 (will be 33 by next Feb) and hopefully this will be baby number 2. Baby number 1 is only 5 months old. This was very much planned as we wanted a small age gap. DH is thrilled.

I had a very easy pregnancy last time, but labour was a catastrophe, and once DS was born it was obvious he'd had growth restriction that hadn't been picked up in pregnancy, so I'll be having growth scans this time round and will probably be under "shared care" between a consultant and a midwife. I'll also be having an elective section at 39 weeks at the latest.

I'd be keen to join the Facebook group so will send a PM!

Wow, congratulations @YouWhoNeverArrived, that is a v small gap! I don’t think I’d had sex by the time DD was 5 months, good going!

I’m starting to feel more nauseous these last couple of days, just a funny taste in my mouth and a bit icky in my stomach. Hopefully a good sign, I’m 5+1.

@YouWhoNeverArrived - a small age gap is lovely, my DD was 7 months old when I got pregnant with DS!

Congratulations @YouWhoNeverArrived and @ronniemipperton.

I had letters through this morning with appointments for booking in with the midwife and 12 week scan. Anybody else started to get appointment dates booked in?

Report
tisonlymeagain · 06/06/2019 12:03

Nope @GoodShipSerenity! it's not filling me with positivity either as I've seen so much on FB about how crap they are around here! I had to get a form from the GP, then self-refer via an email address. It said they'd be in contact within 7 days. Heard nothing, sent another email. Heard nothing. I'll leave it until next week and then I guess I'll phone them!

Thanks @Jayne79 @star1980 @GoodShipSerenity :)

My last MC started about an hour after I filled in the referral form on my GP’s website... don’t think I dare go anywhere near it just yet!

Congrats @YouWhoNeverArrived !

Our age gap will be a little longer than we wanted but we prioritised me starting a new job, and then tried for about 6-7 months which was a bit of a shock as our first was a one time job!

@givealittlebit Both DS and this pregnancy both occurred at the first time of trying. I realise how incredibly lucky I am. Fingers crossed for a sticky embryo...

Sadly after having my bfp on Friday it looks like I'm losing it

Pains started yesterday, spent all day in hospital and my hcg levels are really low, I've got to go back tomorrow for another blood test and scan but it's looking like it wasn't a viable pregnancy Sad

Report
YouWhoNeverArrived · 06/06/2019 15:43

So so sorry to hear that @wellthisisshitisntit Sad

GoodShipSerenity · 06/06/2019 16:00

I'm so sorry @wellthisisshitisntit. Thinking of you.

@tisonlymeagain that sounds very disorganised on their part, and very frustrating for you. Do you have the option to refer to another hospital/service?

@ronniemipperton that's understandable. When do you think you might refer?

Report
star1980 · 06/06/2019 17:00

Oh no @wellthisisshitisntit, I’m so sorry to hear that 😢 Is it definitely not viable, or could there still be some hope? Please look after yourself Flowers

Report
wellthisisshitisntit · 06/06/2019 17:03

@star1980 there's the smallest amount of hope but I'm not convinced, the only thing keeping me going is that I'm not "bleeding" yet - my scan and next tests are at 9.30am tomorrow so we'll know more then x

@wellthisisshitisntit oh lovely, keeping everything crossed and sending lots of love 💕

My booking in appointments on the 19th so working from home that day to save trekking all the way to London after. Hoping they will book in scan after that!

YouWhoNeverArrived · 06/06/2019 19:24

My booking appt is 2nd July. When the midwife mentioned the date, I said I'd have to check my diary, and she immediately offered me an evening appointment - I was very impressed! Last time my scan was arranged at the booking appointment, so I assume that will happen again. I will probably pay the £65 it costs locally to get a private reassurance scan at around 8 weeks. I had one last time because I had a small bleed, and it really put my mind at rest.

Report
GoodShipSerenity · 06/06/2019 20:08

My booking in appointment is the 1st July, when I'll be straight off a night shift, so I'll have an amazing sleep once I get home.

Uh oh. Bright red blood appeared this morning Sad

It's confusing because I did a clearblue test last night and got 2-3 weeks (plus a clear positive on an internet cheapie) so the HCG levels must be relatively high still.

Report
wellthisisshitisntit · 07/06/2019 07:33

@ivyleaf4 oh gosh I'm sorry to read that - are you okay ? How are you feeling in yourself ? Definitely get yourself checked out.

I've been awake since 3.30, hard to process what's happening, don't know what to expect at hospital but I'm over analysing everything twinge and every time I go to the loo I hold my breath, I just want to know.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, my appointments at 9.30, could do with lots of hand holds x

star1980 · 07/06/2019 07:35

@ivyleaf4 oh no, so sorry - that must be really scary. Can’t remember if this is your first pregnancy or not but just want to say that with DD, I had red blood at 9w and 13w as well as brown spotting at 5w and all was well. So blood doesn’t always mean bad news. 💐 for you. Hopefully there’s no more today.
