Crikey. I'm mega-early, but did a Clearblue early detection test today and here I am! Hopefully some more folk will join me soon.
Second baby for me, already have DS who is 4. Feel like I've forgotten everything tho!

Hi everyone, I’m due on 22nd Feb, according to ovia and it will be my first. So this is all new to me and a bit scary! Early days yet and I’m 37 so haven’t told anyone in real life, waiting for 12 weeks, but have been feeling sick for a week now so it’s starting to feel real.

Reassuring that there are others out there in the same boat, congratulations everyone and hope everyone else feeling rubbish is feeling better soon! I’m a bit worried about how bad its going to get as I already feel terrible at 7 weeks and understand its only going to get worse for weeks yet.

Hi all, sorry for the lack of contact. I'm out I'm afraid.
Went for a "reassurance" scan last week and baby was measuring small with slow heartbeat. Saw early pregnancy today and was scanned again and there was no heartbeat. Just waiting for nature to do its thing now.
Having had the experience I have, I would offer a word of caution against private scans. The place I went to was lovely but they are not designed for people to receive bad news in (commemorative photo of your miscarriage anyone?) and they cant offer any medical follow-up so you're just told to contact your midwife/early pregnancy unit and left hanging. Also, my EPU couldn't accept the scan and report from the private clinic as the first scan so they counted today's scan as the first one. I have to go back again next week for another scan, which is less than ideal.
Going for a private scan wont change the outcome of your pregnancy one bit and potentially you could be scanned at 8 wks and miscarry at 9. I see how it might help if you're mega-anxious but I just thought I'd share my experience.

Also I think your thoughts about early scans echo mine, I've not had one and didn't with my first either, mostly for that very reason!

@Givealittlebit I didn't with my first either. Dont know why I did this time tbh, but I can honestly say, I wish I hadn't. We'll try again and I won't have one again.

Oh @Bilsonate so sorry to hear that! I had a reassurance scan with my first, but not with this one. I didn't realise they don't count for the hospital. That must be tough for you. :(

I hear what you say about early scans - I ended up having one at 7w at the EPU because I’d gone to my GP with stomach pains and he wanted confirmation it was in the right place. But now my dating scan is next week I am climbing the walls worried something has gone wrong in the meantime. We just have to wait it out and hope for the best.

Hey all, I'm new here waves

I've been reluctant to join as had a rough start with a lot of bleeding to find that I had miscarried a twin. Other baby appears to be doing well though, the twin was a likely early loss and non viable pregnancy from the start. At 37 and with a 12 year old I feel terrible that I was a little relived. I'm very lucky to have the one I have and it took us a year to get this one and a prev m/c.

Early scans are going well, booking appt tomorrow and another scan Thursday. Due 25/2 which is my birthday!

Hi all, hope it’s okay to join!
I’m due 11/02/20 with my first :)
I’ll be 12 weeks on Tuesday and finally my morning sickness seems to be easing, it absolutely kicked my butt for weeks!

I Have my booking appointment with the midwife on Thursday, I was meant to have it a couple of weeks ago but the midwife left the surgery, not sure when I’ll get my 12 week scan date but we shall see.

I hope everyone is well, lovely to see all the scan photos ☺️

Hey! How is everyone getting on? It’s got quite quiet on here so I’m assuming most people are away to the fb group.

We had our Dating scan today! I’ve been put at 13+1 so my due date has changed to the 23rd of Feb but my DS was breech and a section which I’ll probably request again. The thought of a VBAC freaks me out. Anyways everything looked good on the scan. It’s a wriggly wee thing!
