Crikey. I'm mega-early, but did a Clearblue early detection test today and here I am! Hopefully some more folk will join me soon.
Second baby for me, already have DS who is 4. Feel like I've forgotten everything tho!
Eeeeeeek!

Checking in Smile Got my BFP on Saturday, but very faint as that was only 8DPO. Confirmed this morning with much stronger line at 10DPO.

I've got a DD already who is three. Unfortunately we have had two early miscarriages this in the past year and had one before DD too so I'm not getting too excited yet but keeping everything crossed.

According to online calculator my due date is February 14th ❤

@Jayne79 oh my, that must have been terrifying. So glad all worked out ok and hope they can monitor you closely this time and hopefully avoid a preterm birth.

@tisonlymeagain nice test! Smile

Congrats @ivyleaf4 and so sorry to hear about your losses. Fingers crossed this is sticky.

Seems we have a few late 30’s ladies. I’m 38, will be 39 when baby comes all being well. It’s only just dawning on me how old this is! Would you consider getting early referral etc solely based on age? I was planning on self-referring at 6wks, but guess I could do it now (4+6).

Ps, I mean old in a pregnancy sense. I certainly don’t feel old and mean no offence to other “older” ladies! Blush

@star1980 I'll be 40 when this one (hopefully) arrives. I've filled in the self-referral and just waiting to hear back. I've seen from local groups that they are slooooowwww and quite often miss people. It says they'll be in touch within 7 days which will be Wednesday this week and then I'll chase up. I'm not sure if being an old bird means we need to be seen any earlier? I was going to push for scan to be nearer to 11 weeks though.

Bit the bullet and told my boss and HR. Have asked that no one else be told (SLT etc ) until I say I am ready. Would have like to have kept it to myself but the nature of my job means it can be really physically challenging at times so better safe than sorry!
Made me feel all nervous now people know though.

Ooh I'm 29, feeling very young and out of place 😂 thankfully it's my second so not feeling too overwhelmed at the moment

Thanks @star1980 , I'm just trying to take each day as it comes and not worry too much. Easier said than done I'm sure!

If I were you I would go ahead and do the self-referral, at least in my area they can be a bit slow so best just to get in the system sooner rather than later.

Hey girls - one of the girls on another Feb 2020 has created a secret Facebook group for Feb 2020 Babies. If you're interested in joining us, message me and I'll get you added to the group!

I would love to join a Facebook group but going to give it a couple of weeks until I'm a bit further along Smile

That's okay @ivyleaf4 - just give me a nudge when you're ready and I can add you.

Ooh, more people! Hooray. You all seem to know what you’re doing. I have spent the weekend reading websites & a couple of pregnancy books that I bought, because I genuinely don’t know anything. I didn’t realise how pregnancy dating works until I started looking at due date calculators Blush Made my scan appointment for 16 July though so it’s all feeling very real now.

I’d also love to join a fb group in a few weeks. It has been great with my first, so I’ll definitely be messaging you @tisonlymeagain! Thanks!

🙋🏻‍♀️ another one who would love to join fb group! The group for my first was a godsend and I've got a little group of 8 women who are literally my online best friends!
Might also wait a few weeks though as it all feels a bit tentative at the moment!

Understand the trepidation, whenever you're ready, join us! I'm so on edge myself but trying to just roll with positivity. Confused

Have messaged you @tisonlymeagain. Slightly wary about joining this early but will do anyway. 😀

Thank you! How are you all today? I'm preparing to tell my manager tomorrow as like some others there are parts of my job I may need to delegate. Plus I had hyperemesis for 36 weeks last time, which meant I had a lot of small absences and had to duck off the floor repeatedly when at work.

Anyone else feeling so anxious? I am paranoid it's all going to go wrong 😩 TMI but everytime I feel damp lol 😂 Down below I nearly get into a panic thinking omg am I bleeding? So hard to relax and this is my second! Didn't feel like this with my first.

Report
GoodShipSerenity · 04/06/2019 22:08

@Jayne79 I'm with you on the feeling anxious. With DS I had so many symptoms even from implantation - woozy, hot flushes, nausea, my nipples were chafing on clothing, doing huge wees day and night that a race horse would be proud of. This time I've felt a tiny amount of light-headedness annd that's it. It doesn't feel like I am pregnant at the moment and it makes me worry that it is not a viable pregnancy.

star1980 · 05/06/2019 06:50

Congratulations @GoodShipSerenity! Welcome to the group Smile

I’m so nervous too! I keep looking up the miscarriage stats like everyday and the worrying about mmc. It took us a long time ttc to get our DD(16m) and this happened so quick I can’t quite believe it. I guess the truth is what will be will be and worrying won’t change anything I just wish I could distract myself!!

Also feeling anxious! Second here as well and I feel like I was much more naive with my first and didn't really know/thing about the potential negatives.
Definitely feeling pretty pregnant though. Boobs have been feeling weird for weeks and feeling a bit nauseous/lightheaded if I don't eat often enough.

Currently battling with migraines again as well. I take preventative tablets daily but can't take them whilst pregnant. It's torture!

Yes very anxious here. I just booked my NIPT/Harmony testing and scan privately for middle of July when I will be just coming up to 11 weeks. £400 but I think it will be worth it.

Just got to get through the next 6 weeks, not sure whether to get an early scan at 7 weeks just to help myself chill out a bit.

Report
ivyleaf4 · 05/06/2019 18:42

Also very anxious here, although unlike others I think I am slightly less anxious than first time around! Probably the toddler keeping me busy...

I'm going to book an early scan for 8 weeks assuming all goes well I think.
