Crikey. I'm mega-early, but did a Clearblue early detection test today and here I am! Hopefully some more folk will join me soon.
Second baby for me, already have DS who is 4. Feel like I've forgotten everything tho!
Eeeeeeek!

I'm wondering when I should tell my boss? I work in a job that is sometimes quite risky and was in a pretty sketchy situation yesterday. My boss is brilliant and he wouldn't tell anyone but from a risk assessment point of view, he prob needs to know.
I dont want to jinx anything tho!

I'd tell him now @Bilsonate - better to be safe than sorry!

Hi ladies! Got my BFP today, well the faintest clearblue early response but I have known I was pg for about a week, I just had a feeling... anyone else like this? I had my coil out on 7th May so it is super early, just praying all ok! We already have a DS who will be 4 in September

Hi 👋 wondering if I can join you guys? Tested positive yesterday, I think due date is 31st jan but feb seems more likely 😂

Baby number 2, been trying for 6 months or so which I found tough as baby 1 was a one time deal!

Also @Bilsonate I have the same issues with work, risky role so will probably have to say something to HR at least on Monday. Just not sure how to stop everyone else finding out, as I won't be able to do some bits of my role which will make it obvious

Hiya! And congrats!

I told my boss today. He was lovely about it. Makes it very real now that someone apart from me and DH know!

Also, I'm really looking forward to maternity leave 😂

Found out I'm pregnant today, due date calendar said I'm due the 1st of feb

I have 3 boys already, number 3 being 13 weeks 🙈. Not planned at all, husband is booked to have the snip mid July 😂

Hope everyone is feeling ok

Joining in - had a very unexpected positive test a week ago. Very overwhelmed & just a little bit excited. First baby, due Feb 3rd. All feels very real as I made my scan appointment today!

The over-use of ‘very’ might give a bit of a clue to my emotional state at the moment. I thought baby brain kicked in a bit later than this 😅

@KimKardash 🤞 for you!

@OccasionalNachos I had the exact same nerves with my first!

Only symptoms here have been sore boobs for a few weeks and a shaky feeling if I haven't eaten in a while.
Trying to figure out how to deal with work Monday. So far no one knows apart from my husband and a small group of women from my first antenatal group (online best friends!)

@wellthisisshitisntit it's my third too, and last one was 12 years ago so kind of in same boat. First with DP but he's already got children.

Fingers crossed for you @KimKardash Hope it's just a bit of spotting which I think can be normal, especially if it's brown, it's old blood.

Congratulations everyone, can I join too please? Got my bfp last week on holiday so due early Feb.

Third baby for me too although I lost 2 before DS2 so every cramp is scaring me at the moment, going to be wishing the next couple of months away! How is everyone else doing?

Congratulations everyone! Glad there’s a lot of experienced mums on here - I hope to learn a lot from those that have done it all before.

I am desperate to tell people, just so I can get my head around it a bit more.

Hi @twoboysandcounting fingers crossed for you, I think we all worry about every cramp but it's perfectly normal.

@OccasionalNachos Experienced yes...sensible not so much ha! I want to tell people too, so frustrating!

Congratulations everyone! Welcome😊

@KimKardash, crossing my fingers for you. A bit of bleeding is very common and could just be implantation. With number 1 I bled at 5, 9 and 13 weeks and all was fine. Hope the spotting has stopped for you now.

@JessicaReynolds - wow that is such a short gap! Shock

Hi I'm a few days late so took a test and saw a faint line, after taking another 4 tests today they are all positive Grin due Feb 2nd! I'm 40 in june so dunno how I will explain that I'm not having a drink to celebrate lol have an almost 3 yr old son who was born at 32 wks so I'm really scared this time round 🙈

OccasionalNachos · 02/06/2019 07:20

Congratulations @jayne79! I also have a big birthday coming up in the next few months, but I hope to have told my family by that point so it should be fine.

Does your DS being premature mean you’ll see a midwife more often this time round? I am so new to all this I have no idea how it all works

tisonlymeagain · 02/06/2019 08:55

@Jayne79 I'll be 4 months pregnant for my 40th, all going well, big night out planned but at least I'll be able to explain by then Confused

@jayne79 I'll be 40 two months after the wee one is born. I had been planning on being submerged in a bath of gin but it looks like it will breastmilk instead 🙄😂

@occasionalNachos I'm not sure yet but think will defo be consultant led rather than midwife! All my waters went at 32 weeks never went into labour but he lay on his cord three times and they lost his heartbeat so was a mad dash to theatre and he was out in 20mins!! He had to be taken to a different hospital 2hrs away from me because neonatal was full! Was a bad two days until we were reunited again. Spent 3weeks in neonatal. He's my whole world 💙

Report
tisonlymeagain · 03/06/2019 09:29

@Jayne79 I think I will be consultant led too - I think they do anyway when you get to our age (at my NHS trust anyhow) but I've had pre-eclampsia and shoulder dystocia in previous pregnancies so I think I'll be considered high risk.

Did a pregnancy test this morning, just to be sure haha. Couldn’t resist POAS this morning as I had a CB Digital left and it came up as 2-3 weeks which was pleasing and reassuring as I got 1-2 weeks this time last week so looks like for now things are progressing. Will I do another next Monday? I bet I will.
